I'm Back

Sora POV

I sat in my class waiting for the bell to ring. I looked at the board and wrote some notes, 'Just one more period till the end of the day.' I tell myself.

'Just a little longer till I can go play and see the courts!' I say and the bell rings. I smile at that and place my notes and books in my bag. I get up and push in my chair.

"Nice meeting you Akiyama-san!! We'll see you tomorrow!" a group of nice girls that talked to me at lunch said as they walked out of the classroom. "See you tomorrow!" I say to them and wave goodbye to the rest of my classmates.

"Hey look it's her! The new girl! She's pretty~" Some students whispered as I walked down the halls and made my way to the teacher's room.

I knocked on the door and saw Takeda place down files and paper work on his desk. "Takeda-san." I say and he looks up from his work and smiles at me. "How was your first day Akiyama-san?" he asked as he got up and lead me down the halls to the gym.

"It went well. Everybody was nice to me and it class wasn't difficult. I was able to get passed notes from early in the semester." I said and he smiles. "That's good!" he said and we were still walking for a couple minutes.

Soon we stopped at the gym and heard the sound of volleyballs hitting the floor. I smiled at the sound and watched as Takeda opened the door as it creaked. I waited a bit before following after him.

"Hey!" Some members chorused seeing Takeda enter. The teacher smiled and walked in and gestured me to enter. The sound of volleyballs continued as they continued to warm up by themselves.

"Ukai!" Takeda called out and the blonde man looked over and raised an eyebrow at seeing me behind the teacher. "Yeah what's up Takeda and what's with her? A new manager?" he asked while pointing to me and he glanced at the other girl in the tracksuit behind him. The girl shook her head.

"Ukai I haven't told you about the program and information that the Vice Principal has told me but this is Akiyama Sora. She will be training with us and she's a new student here." Takeda said and gave me a questioning look. "Um, I'm coach Ukai. But you know this is the boy's team right? The girls gym is a little farther away from here." the coach said and I blinked at the man in front of me.

Takeda grew flustered and waved his arms around and looked back and forth at me and the Ukai. "U-Ukai that's rude!!" he whispered at him and looked back at me.

"Sorry Akiyama, I'll explain some more to him." he said and I waved my hand around. "No it's quite fine. My situation is a bit strange and different after all. But if he feels that way than there's no point in worrying about it. I can just focus on helping the girls team, maybe they can go to nationals in a year." I say and Takeda's eyes grew wide and shook his head. While Ukai raised an eyebrow and became curious what the girl said. 'She was going to take the girl's team to nationals in a year?'

"NOO!!" he shouts at me and I nod my head at him with my eyes a little wide. As I take a step back since he got closer to me. Now the gym got quiet and all eyes were on us. Takeda turned back around to Ukai and stepped closer to him and poked his chest.

"Ukai! She will be practicing with us! I'll tell you more about her situation in a bit, but let's introduce her to the team!" Takeda demanded. Ukai sweatdropped along with the rest of the team unsure of what was happening. While two of the boys on the team had sparkles in their eyes seeing a pretty new girl in their gym.

As Hinata looked at me from the corner of my eye. He tilted his head and moved forward to get a closer look at me. I was about to turn my head to see Shoyo but Ukai spoke up. "Ok! Takeda calm down! Boys!! Come here!" he shouted and the boys put the balls down and rushed over. "Yes!" they replied back.

Soon enough they all came to stand in front of us and I turned to face them and looked at Takeda a bit unsure. He turned to me and smiled. "Guys, I want you to meet someone who will be joining in on your practice. She's also a new student here so be nice to her." takeda said with a smile. But as he said 'join practice' the guys faces look at me with shock and Ukai was about to say something but Takeda elbowed him.

Which didn't go unnoticed by the team. I turned my head and saw that happen and sweatdropped. I looked at the team and scanned them before speaking. "Nice to meet you all. I'm a new student here. As you heard I'll be joining in your practice at times, Takeda and I will explain my situation shortly after. But, it's very nice to meet you guys. I'm Akiyama So-"

I was cut off with "SORA!!!!" I turned my direction of attention to Shoyo. I see him staring at me with wide eyes and his mouth wide open, along with him pointing a finger at me. I nod my head and give him a warm smile. "Ah. Yes, it's been a while Shoyo." I say and the whole team looks at Shoyo and back at me with shocked and confused expressions.

I bowed at the team. "I hope to get along with all of you. As you heard I'm Akiyama Sora." I say and raise my head. The team just looked at me and blinked their eyes.

I looked at them and turned my head at Takeda. "Um Takeda-san?" I say and sweatdrop at how nobody did anything and it was just a quiet stand still.

But then a voice spoke up, "Oh~ What's an elite doing here? More exactly you came back? Shouldn't you be succeeding your old school and attend Niiyama?" I turn my head and raised a brow at the person who was the tall first year with glasses. Takeda had his mouth open and the team looked at him with shock at his rudeness. "Hey Tsu-" someone spoke up bu I stopped them.

I spoke with an amused tone "Oh~ You know me then~ Well circumstances put me here as well as my own. I wanted to attend this school. Niiyama is a good school though." I say and put a small smile on my face. The blonde raised his eyebrow. "You an elite at a school like this? Why would you come here?" he pressed on.

I shrugged my shoulders. "Hm. I wonder~ But that's not for you to know." I say nicely as my smile drops slightly feeling myself getting slightly irritated by this first year. 'His voice is somehow very annoying.' I think to myself.

He tches and looks away and Ukai steps in. "Ahem! Well you guys go back to practice! Start with spikes and receives!" They nod their head and bow. "Yes!" and they turn back around running back to the court. I watch as they do that and see that Shoyo lingers and looks at me for a while. I send him a big smile and a thumbs up. He smiles back at me widely and jumps back over to the court.

"Ahem." I hear and turn back around to face Ukai. "Sorry about that." I say and bow at him. "N-no it's fine. That's our players fault. Sorry about him." he says and I nod. I look over at Takeda.

"Um, Takeda. Do you want me to explain my situation or do you want to?" I ask. He looks up at me and shakes his head and sends me a smile. "No it's ok. I'll cover most of it but if I miss anything or you can add information on later." I nod my head and he motions me to watch the practice.

I walk over and see the girl from earlier holding a clip board. I make my way over to her. "Um excuse me." I say and she looks up at me. I give her a smile. "Sorry for the intrusion and trouble that I gave earlier." I say and bow at her. "I'm Akiyama Sora, nice to meet you. I assume that your their manager?" I ask and she nods her head.

She turns to me completely and gives me a small smile. She also gives me a bow "Hm. I'm the manager of the team. Nice to meet you, I'm Kiyoko Shimizu." she says and I smile back at her.

I turn my body to watch them practice. And I hear her speak up softly "And it's no problem earlier. Sorry about our player." she says and I glance at her and shake my head. "No it's no problem." I say and ask "Are you a third year?" I say noticing that she is really quiet and mature.

She nods her head. "Yes I am. You Akiyama-san?" she asks me. "I'm a second year." I say and she turns to look at me with slightly wide eyes. "I see. Are you perhaps a volleyball player? I believe I heard that you will be practicing with the team." she questioned.

"Mhm. I am a volleyball player. I was a player at Niiyama girls junior high back in first and half of my second year. But I left as a second year of Niiyama." I said and glanced at her seeing her look at me. She nodded her head and I continued "I left and went to the states to train and study there for a couple years. And I just came back not to long ago." I say and she opens her mouth and closes it.

She nods her head "Is it okay if I ask why you will be training with us instead of the girls?" I glanced over to see her fidget with the clip board in her hand. I chuckled and nodded "Yeah, before I came back here to Miyagi there's an organization that set up a program for students in America and they send some students to different places. But you can also sign up for it. Since, this program is new for the organization, things have just been a little iffy in some things. But, the program tells us to go to a school where they decide but we are able to request. The school we go to we train with the teams and we also get sent to other schools to train and practice with them." I say and watch as Shoyo does a spike and he looks over at me smiling.

I smile back at him and nod my head at him. "But to fully answer why I don't go over to the girl's team is sometimes differs depending the reason. The Karasuno's team only has fewer players than the boys team plus three of their players are retiring. The higher ups also tell us which team they want us to focus on as well. So it really differs, but I'm sure that I'll be able to help them as well but that purely depends on them since my focus is training with the boys." I say and she nods her head processing the information.

"I see. Are you okay with practicing with boys though?" she asked and I looked down at her and she has a face showing some concern but barely noticeable. I smile brightly at her and nod my head. "Thanks for asking but I'll be okay. I was on a mixed team as well when I was in the states so I have some experience with dealing with them." I say and she laughs at my answer.

I smile at that. 'She seems really shy but she's really caring.' I think to myself. Soon enough I hear a "What?! She's came from there?! Are you pulling my strings?! You're really serious!?!?" I turn to see Ukai shouting at Takeda and I sweatdrop and Kiyoko looks over as well. The boys too but they continue on their practice.

I chuckle seeing Ukai's reaction and glances over at me and looks back at Takeda. "My, he seems beyond shocked." I say. Kiyoko giggles beside me. "You must be pretty amazing than." she says and looks at me. I chuckle at that and shake my head. "No, I'm not really. There's plenty others out there that are way more amazing. But I admit that I'm a pretty good player." i say and give her a grin.
