Both of them were extremely anxious and it was pretty evident to anyone that could see them except the two.

Everly was starting to get used to Mark's presence and she hated that . She was scared of him suddenly leaving and scared of hurting him with her bad luck.

Mark was scared of failing the mission. On one hand,he was scared of not being able to make her love him. On the other hand, he was scared of his own emotions .

Everly entered Mark's apartment as she anxiously made each step , walking forward to where Mark was preparing the table . "H-hi" She uneasily let out which came out more as a squeak.

"Hi" Mark replied back . They looked at each other briefly, their gaze quickly repelling like two similar poles. Everly swallowed her now dry saliva . Mark scratched the nip of his neck as he was feeling hot.

They were awkward. The whole atmosphere was awkward.

"Let's eat" They both blurted out at the same time as their gaze met each other , as once again they were seen quickly looking down at the ground.

Saying the dinner was awkward would be an understatement . The air was thick , filled with their own thoughts. They both were lost through ideas and ideas and ideas.

" Do you not like it? the food?" Mark asked looking at Everly's plate that is still untouched. She looked up quickly eyes locking into his , directly dispersing them to anywhere than his own eyes. "I" She started , anxious evident in her voice "No. I'm sorry. You- I will eat now " She let out a dry chuckle at the end as she started to eat. Mark similarly let out a small chuckle .

"We have homework for tomorrow. I'll give them to you after lunch." Mark nodded his lips forming a straight line. "How was class today?" He asked trying to form a small talk to cover the silence present around the table.

Minutes have passed as they talked about a few things. From university to food preferences to what they will be doing tomorrow.

After lunch was done, each of the two were now sitting in their respective bedrooms studying.

It was a hard day for both of them , denying the feelings that grew inside of them in this small amount of time.
