43 The-Boy-Who-TALKED

When Harry finally returned to his apartment, half was his mind was feeling extremely giddy as he was lucky enough to acquire the pineal gland of a Sphinx's Brain, but the other half of his mind was still agonizing over the fact that he splurged 1000 Galleons in one go…

If he had bought a normal part of a Sphinx's Brain, he would probably have to spend somewhere around 250 Galleons, but he decided to buy the pineal gland of a Sphinx's Brain, which was much more expensive, and there was only one pineal gland in a Sphinx's Brain, so he had to spend four times more.

He carefully placed the jar containing the pineal gland on the desk as he didn't want to drop it by accident… He might end up having a stroke if he dropped the jar. After that, he quickly changed into more comfortable clothes and started to prepare the Potion he needed to draw the Ritual circle.

It took him somewhere around an hour to prepare the Potion and when he was finally done, he carefully placed the Potion in a vial before placing it beside the jar on his desk. After that, he grabbed his notebook as he decided to run through the Ritual for probably the fiftieth time. Running through the Ritual theoretically, again and again, was much better than making a mistake.

He wanted to avoid mistakes at any cost as messing up anything in such a powerful Ritual even in the slightest would be a messy way to die… They would probably need to scrap his innards from the walls or there was always a chance that he might end up inside out…

|I think everything is good…| Harry mumbled inside his mind as he ran through all of his notes, again. |What do you think, mom?| Harry asked curiously as he sat down on the bed.

|I think everything is perfect| Lily answered after a few moments of silence. Harry released a huge sigh and slumped back on the bed. It was only noon and there were still somewhere around eleven hours before midnight, so he could only wait… His stomach rumbled, reminding him that he was yet to eat anything.

Harry forced himself to get off the bed… He tossed the notebook on the bed and started to make his way toward the kitchen. He wanted to see if Norton had prepared anything or not. Harry arrived inside the kitchen and a smile bloomed on his face as he smelled the beautiful aroma of shepherd's pie.

"The food smells awesome, Norton. Thank you" Harry thanked Norton as he pulled back one of the chairs and sat down.

"Master Hadrian doesn't need to thank Norton. Norton only be doing his duty and Norton knew that Master Hadrian would be hungry after he returns" Norton gushed out eagerly, but Harry could also feel that Norton was trying to scold him. Well, he couldn't fault his friend… After all, it wasn't unusual for him to forget about food whenever he got lost in his research.

"I would have probably starved to death if it wasn't for you, Norton" Harry commented with a laugh as he finally dug into his food. "Hmm… As expected, Norton. This is heavenly. I was missing this during the trip" Harry praised with a huge grin as he started to eat with more gusto.

"Norton only bes doing his duty!" Norton exclaimed shyly as he disappeared with a soft pop, leaving Harry to enjoy the food…

<Line Break>

Harry appeared inside the white space and his eyes immediately focused on his mom. After finishing lunch, Harry decided to take a nap. Not only did he needed to take some rest, but he also needed to meet his mom for the so-called 'TALK'. He had asked his mom if he could have this 'TALK' back at the mine, but his mom said that she didn't want to distract him from his task.

What sort of 'TALK' were they going to have? Harry couldn't help but feel trepidation… He started to wonder how bad this 'TALK' was going to be. He hoped nothing too bad…

"Hello, Hadrian, I am glad that you are here. Come here, let your mommy hug you" Lily said as he stood up from the floor.

"Hi, mom" Harry greeted her back as she pulled him into her arms. He also wrapped his arms around her as he hugged her back. After a few seconds, his mom finally released him and ruffled his hair. He simply smiled back at her, his eyes filled with adoration, love, and respect.

"Come, sit with me. We have a lot to talk about and I think you will appreciate a seat, considering the topic" Lily said in an amused tone as she plopped down on the floor and started to pat the spot right in front of her. Harry gave her a soft nod as he sat down.

"Okay… So, can we finally have this 'TALK'?" Harry asked nervously as he cocked his head sideways.

Lily grinned at her son and decided to tease him. "My, my… Aren't you excited? I wonder if you are going to feel the same when we are finally done" Lily mused in a sing-song voice. Harry shuffled uncomfortably after hearing his mom's words. For whatever reason, he started to feel that he wasn't going to like this 'TALK'...

"Good, then… Let's start" Lily nodded her head in satisfaction as she finally started to give her son the 'TALK'.

What Harry didn't know was the fact that Lily couldn't wait to see how her Hadrian's reactions… However, Lily also forgot to notice that she started to refer to Hadrian as hers…

~~Timeskip~~ (One Eternity Later)

Harry was right… He didn't like the 'TALK' at all…

By the time Lily was done with the 'TALK' his face was blazing red, matching Lily's hair. Harry couldn't even look into her beautiful green eyes anymore… Right now, he didn't even know if he could ever look into her eyes again… Then again, the only friends he has are also girls. Was he ever going to be able to look at them without his mind going into the gutter?

What's more, he finally understood why he felt so entranced by the poster of the red-haired woman, and to be honest, he didn't know how to feel about that… Should he feel disgusted or should he blame it on his hormones? He knew that he couldn't place the whole blame on his hormones, after all, it would be wrong to blame his own actions on his hormones.

After the 'TALK', he finally understood what he was feeling… He loved his mom, he adored her, he respected her… She knowingly sacrificed herself to protect him. How could he not love her? How could he not adore her? How could he not respect her? He would do anything to make her happy after everything she had done for him, but he had no idea when his love turned into something so… unhealthy.

He didn't even know if his mom knew about his feelings and it was eating him up from the inside… He started to wonder how she was going to feel if she ever discovered how he felt about her. Was she going to hate him? Was she going to be disappointed in him? Was she going to be disgusted at him? Questions like that started to pop into his mind and his mind started to spiral into panic and depression.

He didn't know what he would end up doing if she ever started to hate him, feel disappointed in him, or feel disgusted by him…

While Harry was going through a mental breakdown, Lily couldn't help but feel giddy on the inside… She knew exactly what her Hadrian was going through, she already knew why her Hadrian was so transfixed by the poster of the naked red-haired woman, but this is exactly how she wanted him to feel. After all, this was the perfect time to place the idea inside his mind…

Lily scooted over to Hadrian and he was so lost in his thoughts, that he didn't even notice her moving close to him. Lily slowly wrapped her arms around him and pulled his head into her bosom. Harry immediately froze in shock, but almost a minute later, he started to relax. He simply couldn't remain tense in her arms…

He could feel her warmth easing his mind and body even though he didn't want to. For the next few minutes, neither of them said anything. The two of them simply decided to enjoy each other's company in complete silence… Harry could feel guilt and shame bubbling inside himself and that is when Lily decided to break the silence.

"Hadrian, there is no need to feel embarrassed. It is completely natural" Lily said softly as she started to run her fingers through his hair.

Harry mutely nodded his head as he could feel that his mom was trying to comfort him. Lily finally separated from him and looked straight into his eyes intensely, making Harry blush…

"Are you feeling bad for being attracted to me?" Lily asked with a serious look on her face, making Harry go stiff. Panic, guilt, and shame started to well up as he opened his mouth to speak up, but no words came out of his mouth.

"M-mo…" Harry finally stuttered out, but Lily placed her finger on his lips, stopping him from speaking anymore. The panic, guilt, and shame he was feeling increased…

"Shh~" Lily shushed him softly as she once again started to run her fingers through his hair and a smile appeared on her face. "It is alright, Hadrian. I am not angry at you… I know it may sound weird, but I am completely alright with it" Lily said softly, making Harry look at her in complete surprise.

Harry stared at his mom like she had grown a second head… "Y-you ar-are alright with it?" Harry stuttered out and the blush on his face intensified as he realized that he ended up saying something he didn't mean to say…

"Yes, I am completely alright with it. After all, it means that you find me beautiful, don't you?" Lily asked, only for Harry to nod his head only on pure instinct. Lily softly giggled and Harry finally realized that he was too late to deny anything, so he simply decided to look down in shame. Lily placed her hand under his chin and raised his head so that she could look into his eyes.

"Hadrian, you don't need to feel bad since I am alright with it… I don't want you to see you moping over this" Lily said sternly, only for Harry to nod his head nervously. He didn't know how to react or what to feel… His mom wasn't angry at him. His mom didn't hate him. His mom wasn't disappointed in him. His mom wasn't disgusted with him. In fact, his mom was completely fine with his feelings…

"Hadrian, I think you should rest now. It has been quite a stressful day" Lily said softly as she stared into his eyes. "You also have a Ritual to perform" Lily reminded him and Harry nodded his head in understanding.

"Um… Can I rest here?" Harry asked nervously as he wasn't sure how his mom was going to react. Lily simply smiled and pulled down his head over her lap.

"Of course. Sleep well, son. Goodnight" Lily said softly as she continued to run her fingers through his hair. Harry nodded his head and closed his eyes.

Harry's breath finally evened out and Lily knew that he was fast asleep… Lily continued to run her fingers through his hair and a wicked grin appeared on her face. This went much better than she was expecting. She could have pushed him some more, but it could have backfired on her…

She was completely satisfied with just planting the idea inside his mind, for the time being, after all, her Hadrian will never ignore her counsel…
