34 The-Boy-Who-Improved (I)
~~Timeskip~~ (Ten months)
It has been ten months since 1st September and Harry was finally leaving Ilvermorny after finishing his first year of Magical education. A lot has happened during these ten months… He was about to start reminiscing, but he was brought out of his musings when someone spoke up beside him.
"Do you have any plans for the holiday, Harry?" Brittany asked curiously as she closed the book in her hand.
Brittany decided to sit beside Harry and accompany him during the bus ride… Her house wasn't anywhere close to the Alley of Druids, but her dad was supposed to pick her up from the Alley of Druids so it wasn't going to be a problem even if she accompanied him.
"Hm… I will probably go on a trip… Maybe a camping trip…" Harry guessed with a contemplative look on his face. He did have some plans in his mind, but nothing concrete.
"Don't forget to visit me… You promised, you remember, right?" Brittany asked as she narrowed her eyes at Harry, who simply chuckled at her glare.
"I haven't forgotten my promise… I will visit you in August as I need to visit Jacklyn before I visit you" Harry reminded the bespectacled girl, who nodded her head stiffly after a few seconds.
"Good" Brittany said stiffly as she turned to look outside the window. Harry also released a sigh before he leaned back in his seat. He closed his eyes and started to reminiscence the past ten months…
~~Reminisceing Starts~~
Harry finished the set of three Rituals during the Christmas break. Almost all the students have gone back to their homes to celebrate Christmas with their families, but Harry decided to stay at school so that he could finish the set of three Rituals without anyone discovering anything.
After finishing the set, his Magical power surged. His Gaseous Magical Core finally transformed into Liquid Magical Core and with that, his Magical might increased several folds, but there was still a lot he desired. He might have grown stronger, but he didn't have any real-life experience.
Jacklyn had tried her best to make him accompany her for Christmas, but Harry didn't budge and he also pointed out that he didn't want to impose on her Family during Christmas as it was a Family event.
Jacklyn was saddened, but she decided to respect Harry's choice, but he had to promise to visit her during the summer holidays. She wanted him to get to know her Family so that he could join her Family next year during Christmas without feeling uncomfortable.
Brittany was also the same in that regard… She also wanted him to visit her during the summer holidays so that Harry could join her Family for Christmas the year after the next year since Jacklyn called dibs for next year before she could.
To be honest, Harry didn't know what to think about the two of them. Jacklyn, he could understand as she wanted to help him from the beginning, so he could understand that she finally became someone close to him, but he was kind of surprised with how quickly Brittany was able to get close to him.
Harry had other friends too, but they were acquaintances at best… There was no way that he would put himself at risk for any of them, but it was completely different for Jacklyn or Brittany. Harry could clearly see himself risking his person for Jacklyn or Brittany. Harry was already planning to reveal his real name to the two of them next year.
Quite surprising, Harry knew, but it is what it is… Harry was never a social person, after his terrible childhood even Harry himself would have been surprised if he turned out to be a social person, but publicly, he still acted cordially with everyone, except for Owen and his merry band.
Owen was already a huge pain in the arse, so Harry wanted to avoid creating another annoyance like Owen at any cost… Owen has been trying to get him into trouble, but Harry had already created a good image for himself, so Owen always failed to get Harry into trouble with the Professors.
Thankfully, Rigel didn't try to get involved or Harry would have to take some measures… While Harry wanted to avoid troubles at any cost, he wasn't going to take any shite from anyone lying down… That is why he had asked Norton to spy on the Curtis Family. With the dirt he collected on the Curtis Family, it wouldn't be hard to defang them if they ever came after him.
On the other hand, Harry also finished learning the fifth year course, so the classes were mostly boring to him. Neither Brittany nor Jacklyn understood why Harry was pushing himself like this, but neither of them tried to stop him, instead, they supported him, which Harry was quite grateful for.
From the next year, Harry was planning to gain real-life experience when it came to Magical combat, though he started to wonder how he was going to achieve that, especially when Jacklyn finished her last year. Jacklyn would have happily agreed to help him even though she would have wiped the floor with him.
He had seen her action and she was simply phenomenal… The first time he saw her practicing for the Under Seventeen Tournament, he was completely blown away by her speed and power. Even his mom ended up admitting that she wasn't anywhere close to Jacklyn's level before she died.
After hearing his mom's words, Harry was sure that Jacklyn will win the Tournament, but he was left completely gobsmacked when Jacklyn lost in the semi-finals. That is when Harry realized that the world is really big and if he wanted to face either Albus Dumbledore or Voldemort, then he still needed to work a lot…

Maybe he could participate in the Under Thirteen Tournament to see where he stood… Yes, it was only going to be a National level Tournament, but he will know where he stood among his peers. Yes, he will be giving away a lot of information to his enemies, but winning the Under Thirteen Tournament wouldn't mean much in the long run.
|That is a good idea… The reason we lost so many people in the war because none of us knew how to fight. James and Sirius only survived due to their Auror training| Lily pointed out and Harry simply hummed as he opened his eyes.
|It's also a good excuse to get Jacklyn to train me| Harry pointed out thoughtfully and Lily couldn't help but agree.
|I think we were simply fighting a fool's war… We didn't even know how to fight. Now, that I think about it, we never had a chance… Once Voldemort faced twenty Aurors and he walked away after killing all of them| Lily said grimly as she shook her head.
In the last ten months, their connection has become a lot stronger and now they can easily feel each other's gestures. Harry's Occlumency shields have also improved a lot in the last ten months. He didn't have any way to test his shields, but he could feel that they were a lot stronger.
After performing the Ritual for his mind, the speed of his progress also increased and it was the same with his body and Magic. Now, his body could react much faster, and he could also learn Spells a lot quicker.
|I need to prepare another set of three Rituals| Harry mused internally and Lily seemed to agree with him, but not completely.
|Why not a set of seven? I think the set of seven will give your better results| Lily explained thoughtfully.

There are quite a few types of Rituals, the most notable variants are… Individual Rituals, Advanced Rituals, Sacrificial Rituals, and finally Set of Rituals.
Individual Rituals are where a person performs a single Ritual to gain something specific.
Advanced Rituals are a three-part Ritual to gain a specific combination of skills.
Sacrificial Ritual is kind of self-explanatory… It is where a person sacrifices something to gain something. The sacrifices can range from a simple cat to a virgin girl.
And finally, a Set of Rituals. A Set of Rituals will give the best results, but that is why they are difficult and you can't stop if you initiate a set without suffering terrible consequences.
That is why Harry was quite worried about initiating a set of seven Rituals… After all, he couldn't stop unless he wanted to suffer terrible consequences…
|You can always ask Jacklyn for some help… I know she won't deny and from what I know of her, she isn't going to ask questions| Lily pointed out and after a few seconds of silence, Harry decided to agree with her.
|Good. I remember a Ritual I saw in one of the advanced books| Lily said as she decided to send the knowledge of the Ritual straight to Harry's mind.
Harry started to rub his chin as the knowledge appeared inside his mind… He had to admit, if he finished the set, then he will receive a massive boost…
