203 CHAPTER {303-305}

****DEATH-EATER-HUNTING (I)****

~~January 8th, 1995~~

It had been a week since Harry returned from Vegas and since then everything had been lackluster, at least for him. The ICW was already bearing down on Amelia for the mess Voldemort made in London with his Dementors, but before the ICW could sanction anything, Rachel managed to handle the matter from her side.

It was later declared that a terrorist organization released an experimental drug in the streets of Muggle London as an act of terrorism, killing hundreds of people before the authorities could act. The Muggles decided to accept the explanation and later the incident became known as one of the worst chemical warfare attacks.

The Muggles were obviously vying for the blood of the non-existent enemy, which seemed to placate the ICW and they backed out after annoying Amelia for a couple of days… Harry had to admit, Rachel was really good at her job. He had no idea how she was handling the Queen, but he didn't care.

He had other important things to deal with, like scouting the Gringott branches… All the stolen Ministry gold was being kept in the Gringotts branch of San Luis, Argentina. Attacking the Gringotts branch would mean an Act of War, but Harry wasn't worried about that.

He was worried about the fact that the Goblins might decide to collapse their caves when they realized that they couldn't win or fend off the attack… After all, the Goblins were petty enough to do something like that…

That wasn't all though… Harry had also been scouting the Diagon Alley Gringotts branch. The Goblins were going to seize their accounts, but Harry wanted to know if they were going to keep their vaults locked in here or transfer them somewhere else. Harry had managed to locate all the relevant vaults with the help of Invisibility Cloak, so if they didn't transfer the contents of the vaults to some other location, it was going to be easy as fuck to reclaim them.

However, there was a chance that they might transfer the contents to some other branch… If that happened, then reclaiming the contents of the vaults would become a lot more annoying and time-consuming, but Harry was nothing if not determined. The Goblins were going to fork up the contents of their vaults one way or another, Harry was going to see to that.

"Master Harry, Madame Bonesy be here to meet you!" Alef popped inside the room and declared. Harry stopped looking at the maps and looked up at the elf.

"Send her in and bring us some refreshments" Harry ordered and after giving him a bow, the diminutive creature disappeared with a pop. Even though Amelia claimed that she was never a politician or a Ministry material, she was doing quite well for herself.

The Ministry was low on funds, but the woman had already started on the repairs of Diagon Alley just to keep the facade that the Ministry was still standing strong… It was the job of politicians to lie and Amelia was doing pretty well in that department… Harry had to admit that he was impressed when Amelia didn't allow the ICW cronies to run roughshod over her administration.

Within a minute, Amelia strode into the room, looking frustrated and angry. "Hello, Amelia, you look beautiful as ever" Harry greeted the woman, looking up.

The woman froze for a moment at his unexpected compliment, but she quickly shrugged it off before giving Harry a nasty look. "Flattery is not going to work, Potter!" Amelia growled as she arrived in front of Harry, and slammed down her hands on the table and continued to glare at him. "Why wasn't I told that Connie came to you on behalf of the Ministry?" Amelia asked with a low growl.

Instead of getting angry, Harry simply smiled at her, which seemed to only raise her temper. "Well, you found it yourself, didn't you?" Harry asked softly. Amelia was about to open her mouth to say something else, but Harry spoke up before that. "And it would have been better if you still didn't know. You would have been able to act ignorant when the ICW questioned you" Harry explained calmly.

Amelia didn't have a retort for that, but she still wasn't happy after all Connie was her friend. "Still, you should have informed me!" However, Amelia still decided to insist.

"Well…" Harry trailed off with a thoughtful look on his face, wondering how to deal with the woman and his mom chose this exact moment to give him some of her wisdom.

|Discipline her! Remind her of her place, son! How dare she question you!| Lily fumed, however, Harry decided to ignore her suggestion. Sometimes, being heavy-handed was well and good, but sometimes, a lighter touch was needed. Harry decided that he needed to deal with Amelia with a lighter hand. He didn't want to grow the seed of resentment inside her.

He wasn't worried about retaliation or betrayal, but he would prefer to avoid any retaliation or betrayal from his own followers. Amelia was a member of the Lost Garden even though her membership was forced, so Harry was going to treat her as one of his own… Harry was sure that Amelia would come to love being a part of Lost Garden, eventually.

"You have to remember that I don't work for you, it is the other way around~" Harry reminded her in a sing-song voice and Amelia seemed to pale slightly at his reminder. "However, don't worry… I am not angry or anything. Connie is your friend, a close friend, so I can understand that you are worried, but just like I said, it would have been better if you remained ignorant of the deal" Harry slowly explained.

"Have a seat" Harry finally offered when Alef returned with some snacks and disappeared with a pop after giving him a respectful bow. Amelia gave him a wary look, realizing that she shouldn't have charged here, screaming at him, but she still sat down, starting to feel somewhat nervous.

"Well, whatever, it is a moot point now that you know. You simply have to act like you didn't know anything or I could Obliviate you" Harry offered and Amelia immediately shook her head, looking alarmed. Harry shrugged, accepting her choice. "As for Connie, yes the ICW is going to come down on her like a ton of bricks, but don't worry, I was already planning to save her" Harry continued to speak.

Amelia didn't say anything for the next few moments. "Why? Why are you being so nice to me?" Amelia asked with an unsure frown.

"Regardless of your beliefs, I am not a monster Amelia… I am no Voldemort no matter what the others think. You are a member of Lost Garden, which means you are one of us and unlike Voldemort, I treat my own nicely" Harry answered with a charming smile on his face. Amelia didn't know what to say.

"Additionally, Connie is going to be a nice addition to Lost Garden. Her investigative skills are really valuable" Harry pointed out. He decided to throw out one of his real reasons. Amelia was not a naive teenager… She knew if anything was too good to be true, then it usually was. So, if Harry came out as too good, then she would start suspecting that he was up to something.

Amelia frowned at his reason, but after a moment, she gave him an accepting nod. "Alright" Amelia relented and picked up a cracker from the plate.

"Now that we are on the same page, there is something else I wanted to discuss with you" Harry spoke up, earning a curious look from her. "I think it's about time I started to hunt down the Death Eaters" Harry declared with a wide grin as pushed a list toward her. "In order, of course" Harry added, just before Amelia grabbed the list.

Amelia took a look at the first name on the list and the blood froze in her veins… 'Malcolm Avery' was one of the people involved in the deaths of her brother and her sister-in-law…

****DEATH-EATER-HUNTING (II)****

Amelia might have been excited about finally getting the chance to get her revenge against the people who killed her brother and her sister-in-law, but now that she was here, standing outside Malcolm Avery's house in the dead of night, her nerves were starting to act up.

She could feel her heart pounding inside her chest, her breathing was ragged… Then all of a sudden, she flinched when Harry placed his hand on her shoulder…

"You don't look so well? Are you sure you are up to this?" Harry asked, looking concerned, but there was a challenging glint in his eyes. "You are sweating quite a bit. If you are not ready then we can call this off and do this another day…" Harry trailed off and Amelia grimaced.

No, she wasn't going to chicken out now… She had come this far, she was going to see this through. "No, I want to do this, just give me a moment" Amelia answered and Harry took off his hand from her shoulder and gave her a nod as he backed away. Amelia started to take deep breaths while unfurling her hands with each breath.

This was something she had done since she joined the Auror Corps to get a grip on her nerves… 'Get a grip, Amelia. This is just a raid!' Amelia screamed inside her mind, trying to calm herself before she glanced toward her accomplice. 'A raid with a homicidal maniac with too much power' Amelia mumbled inside her mind.

"Alright. I am good to go" Amelia declared and Harry simply grinned at her.

Harry raised his hands in the air and Amelia felt his Magic flare. She felt a couple of Wards snap in place around them and she was both awe-struck and horrified at his casual display. However, before Harry could bring down the protective Wards around the house, Amelia spoke up.

"Let me bring down the Wards!" Amelia demanded, but it was more of a request. She had dreamed about her revenge for years and now that she was finally getting it, she wanted to savor the feeling.

Harry gave her a curious look before shrugging his shoulders… "Sure, be my guest" He simply pointed toward the house and stepped back.

Amelia took a deep breath and raised her Wand in the air… There was a moment of silence before she finally struck. Spells splattered against the invisible barrier and soon, the barrier started to flicker… After a few more seconds, the invisible barrier finally collapsed and Amelia felt a sense of satisfaction bubble inside her.

"Ohh… A Siege Engine!" Harry crowed excitedly and Amelia simply hummed as she gave him a nod. The Siege Engine was not a Spell, it was a group of Spells cast one by one in quick succession with the intention of overloading a Ward scheme. A Siege Engine was not something anybody could cast as it was highly taxing.

Even Amelia was left winded, but she refused to show it…

"Have you never used it?" Amelia asked in a curious tone. The way his eyes were shining, it was easy to see that he was excited, just like a normal child should be.

"No, I never needed to" Harry answered simply. With the amount of Magic he possessed, he never needed to use a Siege Engine, but maybe, he should give it a try and see how it turns out. "Looks like everybody is home" Harry announced as he glanced toward the house.

Amelia's eyes grew wide at the declaration. "You can sense them from here?" Amelia asked, looking stumped.

"It's not that hard" Harry waved his hand dismissively in the air. At least, Kaecilius managed to teach him something good before he went around the bend, so if it came to him to kill the man, then he decided that he was going to make it painless. Maybe, he should pay the man a visit and see what the hell he was up to.

Amelia felt like she had sucked on a lemon at his casual dismissal… "Fine. Can you deal with the house elf while I deal with them?" Amelia asked.

"Okay" Harry simply accepted. If Amelia wanted to take the lead, who was he to complain… Yes, he wanted to kill all the Death Eaters, but as long as they were dead, it didn't matter to him who cast the Spell. "However, be careful. I don't want you to die" Harry pointed, surprising Amelia.

"Do you care if I live or die?" Amelia asked, sounding truly surprised.

Harry gave her a stern look as he began to speak. "Didn't I tell you that you are one of mine now, so it is obvious that I care about you" Harry explained with a huff. "Look alive, we are here" Harry announced as the two of them walked up to the front porch. "Knock knock!" Harry exclaimed childishly and cast an Exploding Charm at the door.

Amelia blinked owlishly as the display… 'Did he just do that?' Amelia asked herself. 'I have joined a fucking lunatic with too much power trapped inside a child's body' Amelia groaned as she followed Harry inside the house. However, Amelia was taken by complete surprise when she found all the Averys kneeling inside the drawing hall.

"Look Potter, I will do anything. Anything! Just leave my family out of this" Malcolm Avery started to beg, completely ignoring Amelia.

To be honest, Harry was expecting Avery to at least put up a fight, but this was just lame… "Color me surprised! A smart Death Eater. Would wonders never cease?" Harry exclaimed with a mock surprise on his face. Richard Avery, Malcolm Avery's father gritted his teeth but didn't do anything.

After all, what was there to do… He had seen what Potter could do and with the Dark Lord defeated, there was no one who could help them… Then he glanced toward the person accompanying Potter and flared his nostrils. So, the bitch had joined Potter… What was he expecting?

"Where is your house elf?" Harry asked, looking around. He wanted to check out the decor and according to him, it was quite gaudy.

"Jix" Malcolm called and the house elf appeared with a pop but moments later, a red beam struck the creature and it fell on the ground, completely unconscious.

"Now that the little issue is out of the way…" Harry clapped his hands and turned toward Amelia. "What are you waiting for? Didn't he say he would do anything? Kill him" Harry gestured toward Malcolm Avery, but then all of a sudden he froze. "Ohh… Sorry, for presuming you want to kill him. You can do whatever you want with them" Harry urged.

However, now that she was finally here… Amelia felt her throat go dry and her hands started to tremble. Rolinda Avery was tightly hugging her son while sobbing and Jasmine Avery was silently sobbing while looking at her pleadingly. A part of her growled at her for faltering at this stage, but the rest of her screaming at her to stop…

========================

****DEATH-EATER-HUNTING (III)****

Harry stared at Amelia dispassionately… |I suppose not everyone is strong enough to take revenge| Harry hummed internally, expecting something witty from his Mom, but surprisingly, his Mom remained quiet… "It looks like she wasn't determined enough…" Harry pondered aloud before his gaze focused on Malcolm Avery.

"While she gets a grip, why don't you come here so we can chat?" Harry offered and Malcolm seemed to be at a loss for a moment. He gazed nervously at Harry before he gazed toward his father and his family.

"Why don't you leave my son out of this? I was the one who asked him to join the Dark Lord" Richard Avery spoke up before standing up on his feet. Richard Avery was a proud man. He would admit that beating Harry Potter might be impossible for him, but that didn't mean that he would die kissing a half-blood's feet.

"Is that so?" Harry asked as he raised a brow at the man. "Then you are saying that your son isn't responsible for his actions, but you are? Is that what you are trying to say?" Harry asked calmly without giving away any of his emotions.

Richard seemed to frown at the question… He could feel that there was something wrong, but he couldn't figure out what. "Yes, that is what I am trying to say" Unable to find the pothole, Richard agreed with Harry, admitting that he was responsible for the actions of his son.

"Does that mean that you fucked your own daughter-in-law and turned your own son into a cuckold?" Harry asked, looking agitated. "Is that your son, you old fucker?" Harry raged as pointed at the little boy in the arms of Rolinda Avery. All the Averys were mortified before rage and humiliation took over their reason.

"You dare-!!" Richard snarled and stepped forward threateningly, but before any of them could even blink, Richard found Harry's hand around his throat. For a moment, he wasn't even able to fathom why he couldn't even speak anymore. The grip around his throat tightened and he started to choke.

"Richard!" Jasmine Avery screamed in worry as she soared to her feet.

"Father!" Malcolm screamed at the same time with a look of worry on his face and tried to whip out his Wand, but then all of a sudden, the room was flooded with raw Magic, pressuring both Malcolm and Jasmine down to their knees before they dropped down to their fours, breathing heavily.

Harry simply threw them a glare and raised his free hand to place his index finger in front of his mouth. "Shhh…" Harry hissed before finally reining in his Magic. He loosened his grip around Richard's throat so that the man could speak. "Swear on you Magic that your fucked Rolinda and impregnated her and I will spare your son" Harry said in a cold tone while glaring at the man.

"You said you wanted to take responsibility for the actions of your son, right? I am giving you the chance" Harry added coldly as he continued to glare at Richard. After a moment, Harry relaxed, but he didn't release Richard. "You can't do that, can you?" Harry asked with a grin and tossed the man away like a sack of garbage.

The rest of the Averys whimpered when Richard slumped down on the floor. Then Harry turned toward Amelia, who was staring at him, looking completely aghast. Her hands were still trembling and after watching her in her current state, Harry couldn't help but shake his head at her in disappointment.

"I will be honest, Amelia, I am disappointed in you. It seems like your determination is lacking" Harry chided her soft-heartedly, earning a heated glare from Amelia.

"Not everyone can be as cold-hearted as you" Amelia growled as she continued to glare at him, but instead of getting angry, Harry simply chuckled.

"True, but I am at least avenging the death of my parents" Harry retorted. "I don't care that they are Pureblood fanatics, I don't care if they slaughter a bunch of Muggles, I don't care if they manage to take over Wizarding Britain, but I care about the fact that they are supporting a man who killed my parents" Harry explained softly, surprising everyone inside the room.

However, instead of getting angry this time, Amelia chuckled mirthlessly as she shook her head. Now that she was getting drawn into the conversation, she was starting to get distracted from her original line of thought. "You have been killing since you were small. I can't be like you" Amelia looked down at her own hands and sighed in disappointment.

"Don't get me wrong, I have killed before, but it happened during a fight. I don't think I can kill anyone in cold blood" Amelia looked lost as she continued to speak.

"I see…" Harry mumbled as he turned back toward the Averys. He was expecting them to try something while his back was turned, but much to his disappointment, they didn't do anything. "Well, I don't have all night. I have places to be and people to kill" Harry pointed out as his form blurred toward Malcolm Avery and before the man could blink, Harry buried his hand inside his chest.

Rolinda and Jasmine gasped in horror, but neither of them tried to do anything. Their sobbing simply grew louder and soon they started to howl. Harry coldly stared into the eyes of Malcolm Avery as life slowly left his body… Harry pulled out his bloody hand from inside his chest and the body slumped down on the floor.

He glanced toward the rest of the Averys… Richard was still out of it, so Harry didn't pay the man any mind, but Malcolm Avery's son was hatefully glaring at him while his mother was desperately hugging him. The boy was screaming at him for killing his father or whatnot, but Harry paid him no mind.

"As for the rest of you, you are free to come after me and mine, but if you do then I promise that I will kill you" Harry promised as he turned around. Amelia was staring at the corpse with a conflicted look on her face. "Come on, let's go" Harry said and opened a portal leading to Connie's house. That was where Amelia was staying for the time being since her Manor was destroyed.

Amelia followed him into the portal subconsciously… "Are you going to be alright?" Harry asked while staring at Amelia.

"No" Amelia answered honestly. "I think I need a drink and think things through" Amelia muttered in a low tone and started to leave. "Looks like I wasn't as strong as I used to believe" Amelia chuckled mirthlessly as she disappeared into the house, leaving Harry to his own devices.

|I think I might have pushed her too soon| Harry wondered inside his mind. |I should have taken a bit more time to condition her. I might have broken her| Harry sighed in disappointment. Amelia could have been a valuable asset to his force, but the way she was right now, she would never be able to reach her full potential.

|What a waste| Lily mumbled as she knew that Harry had high hopes for her. |What will you do with her if she doesn't come around?| Lily asked.

|I will leave her here to take care of the country… She may not be able to see it yet, but she is doing a good job as a Minister| Harry answered with a smile as he opened another portal and stepped through…
