Chapter 6

Aiden Walton, the future heir of The Walton Estate always had a look of indifference on his attractive bonny face. He had exuberant blond hair, the colour of gold, with boyish fringes covering his forehead giving the semblance of his youth. His looks were impeccable with piercing charcoal black eyes and he exuded an aura belonging to the upper class.

Deborah; Aiden's mother, was always worried for his son who always adorned an expressionless face making him look distant to everyone. He excelled in everything he did, whether it was sports, music or academics which were also one of the reasons for Deborah's distress.

She worried that he behaved too maturely for his age when he should be carefree and playing with peers. He didn't like to talk and he despised little kids especially the opposite gender which irritated him; leading him to keep a distance with almost everyone.

But Deborah had plans of her own. She adored the charming fairy-like Aleina who was always jolly and smiling whenever she met her. She wanted Aleina to influence Aiden with her sparkling cheerful personality; totally oblivious to Aleina's sufferings; for Aleina was the best at masking her own sorrows.

"Mother, I'm leaving if you're going to keep acting like this." Nobody could imagine that the chilly and stern voice; devoid of any emotions belonged to the 14 year old boy, who was staring at his mother with a fierce gaze for acting childishly.

Deborah came out of her fantasy world when she heard her son's grave voice.

'Seems like I need to work harder to break this block of ice, Hah~' Deborah thought and immediately went for her plan B.

"Aleina darling, you are going to school right? Accompany your Brother Aiden and go together, Mama Debby has some urgent work so I have to leave for the office" after saying this, Deborah didn't give either of the kids any chance to refuse and shoved Aleina right next to Aiden while closing the door and telling the driver to leave.

"Hehe! Try getting out of this one my son. You are just a kid compared to my schemes" Deborah murmured to herself while waiving to the departing car with a huge grin on her face.

In the car, Aleina was yet to register Deborah's words before she was shoved in the car, resulting in her losing her balance. She was just about to fall head first on the car seat, when two attractive small fair hands held her instinctively.

He had just held her and was about to leave her soft as cotton hands, when the car started moving abruptly and they both lost their balance, resulting in Aleina's weightless and supple body falling on top of Aiden's.

Both of them were shocked due the sudden closeness and they were staring and appraising each other with wide eyes.

They seemed to be lost in each other's eyes and when the car hit a bump they were suddenly aware of their position and a tinge of red appeared on Aiden's face while Aleina still seemed to be lost in his eyes.

Aleina looked like a confused and innocent child while she kept staring at Aiden without any intention of getting up any time soon.

Aiden was after all a 14 year old boy so he was embarrassed when he saw Aleina sizing him up and down and staring at his face an innocent and confused little kid.

"Brother Aiden, your eyes are so pretty. I thought that they were black but now I can see that they are the colour of charcoal. I want pretty eyes like you Brother Aiden" the adorably cute 10 year old said with a pout.

Aiden blushed at being complimented by the adorable girl and instantly pushed her away from his body gently and turned towards the window while hiding his embarrassment.

Aleina thought that her Brother Aiden was angry at her for falling upon him and he might've got hurt so she straightened her body and looked straight ahead while keeping her heads down, looking like a cute baby sulking silently.

"Your eyes are pretty as well." Aiden said when he saw her sulking from the corner of his eyes. He tried to lower his voice to sound gentle which shocked the driver when heard his Young Master talking so gently.

'Boohoo.... Young Master is so cute when he talks so gently. I'll have to report to Madam about this new discovery.' The driver rejoiced in his heart without having a change in his expressions.

Aleina's face was as bright as a thousand stars, mesmerising anyone who looked at her, and her whole face lit up when she heard the compliment from Aiden.

"Brother Aiden is the best. Thank you Brother Aiden." Aleina said in a cutesy voice while looking at Aiden with her bright, mesmerising face.

"Um." That was all Aiden could gather to say as he too was mesmerised by the adorable 10 year old.

For the rest of the car ride they both stayed silent until they reached the enormous campus of their school which could be easily mistaken as a resort.

Before they could enter the through the gate Aleina asked the driver to stop the car and alighted. She turned to look towards Aiden and said in a courteous manner.

"Thank you Brother Aiden for bringing me to school. I have to meet my sister so you please go in first. I'll take my leave."

Aleina knew she was lying and she didn't like it, but it was better to tell a white lie than to enter the prestigious Royal School with Aiden and his car.

She didn't want gossips about her to spread and reach her parent's ears resulting in another harsh punishment. Her sister would fly into rage especially at this scene and Aleina would again be condemned for her action.

She was just 10 years old but she had been addressed with multiple obscene words which were vile for her reputation and she wasn't bothered about that but, it hurt her deeply when those filthy words came from the mouths of her own family.

Aiden didn't like it when she stepped out of the car and tried to create a distance between them but he couldn't identify what and why he was feeling this way.

He simply grunted and ordered the driver in his usual cold tone to start the car while leaving her behind.

Since Aleina was 2 years old she had caught the eye of Deborah who yearned for a cute little daughter. So Deborah would always invite Aleina over to their house. Aleina has always been a charming little fairy, easily captivating everyone with her lovely looks and antics.

Aiden was always cold and rude towards the opposite gender which annoyed him with their crying and disturbing nature. So, at first the 6 years old Aiden also ignored Aleina's presence and gave her the cold treatment in order to scare her.

But Aleina wasn't like other kids who got easily scared by Aiden's fierce and cold gaze. No matter how much Aiden tried to scare her with his fierce gaze and cold attitude, Aleina always gave him a bright smile and greeted him with her charming and sweet voice "Brother Aiden".

Aleina was smart and had recognised his displeasure towards annoying and clingy kids so naturally she didn't cling to him or disturbed him unnecessarily. But that didn't mean she cowered from him, no, on the contrary whenever she saw him at the Walton house, Aleina always greeted him with huge happy smile on her bright face, and asked him if he wanted to play with her.

Aiden rejected her most of the times but she didn't get sad or started crying, instead she gave him a bigger smile and told him 'it's okay' or 'maybe next time'.

Aleina was always smiling and she still was, but Aiden had noticed the slight difference in her demeanour, where she was trying to keep a distance now, with a similar smile on her face but it didn't reach her eyes like earlier.

Aiden was a very perceptive for his young age but he was truly a young genius so it wasn't that surprising for his parents.

"Find out what happened this morning and why was she walking on her way to school." Aiden told the driver who was responsible for doing his bids. He suddenly remembered her tired eyes which she was trying to hide behind her bright face and gave another order.

"Deliver mango juice and a chocolate pastry at her desk. And remember don't tell mother about this."

The driver was shocked by his young master's considerate behaviour but still kept listening to his orders without any change on his face while thinking.

'Boohoo~... young master please show me some kindness as well. I'm sorry but I have to report this to Madam. Please spare me!'
