Chapter 11

*WHIP*

The study room which should be filled with silence was at the moment filled with hard whipping sound tearing through some flesh.

The horrid sound reverberating through the entire room coming from the leather belt of Aleina's despicable father, who was striking with all his might at Aleina's frail and soft body.

*WHIP*

"Tell me, do you know what you did wrong?"

*WHIP*

"TELL ME!"

*WHIP*

Dave was ruthlessly striking with his leather belt, one after another, without a single care towards her own daughter's well being.

With every strike, Aleina's skin turned blue and purple forming a horrendous bruise on her back, and part right above her knees.

The leather belt pierced through her skin resulting in her wounds bleeding out but even that didn't seem to affect her father's ruthless and cruel strikes.

*WHIP*

"I TOLD YOU TO SPEAK!"

*WHIP*

"HOW DARE YOU DISOBEY ME!"

*WHIP*

*Seems like you still haven't learned your lesson."

Aleina's silence at Dave's questions infuriated and provoked him further more; and what came next was another round of hard and relentless beatings.

It wasn't Aleina's intention to ignore him at first. But her mind and body had turned cold due to the same ordeal she had to go through, again and again; irrelevant if it was her fault.

She was suppressing her screams when the belt pierced through her soft skin; turning it to a horrifying colour of purple and blue.

Aleina didn't want to give her sadist father the satisfaction from seeing her screaming with pain. She was tightly biting her now pale lips, with her white teeths; making it bleed.

Her back and thighs were filled with terrifying, blue and purple bruises which looked awful on her thin and fair body.

It was truly a petrifying sight.

"Hmph! You really are fucking stubborn aren't you."

Dave was gasping for air as he finally grew tired from the relentless beatings he has been giving to Aleina since the last 2 hours.

But there was still not even a whimper coming out of Aleina's lips.

She just kept taking the cruel strikes with tightly shut eyes and her shivering body.

"Tsk... Get up and go clean yourself up promptly. Your cousin Maria has invited you over to her house this evening. Remember to hide those properly this time." Dave said while pointing to the bruises on her weak body.

"Get lost now!"

With that Dave left first, leaving the heavily battered young lady on the cold floor all alone with her pitiful self.

Aleina was lying on the cold floor like a lifeless doll; with a blank face staring mindlessly. Her wounded body which was a terrifying sight to behold; was sprawled, devoid of any strength.

After what felt like an eternity, Aleina attempted to pick herself up failing multiple times to do so. With the same lifeless expression she, eventually stood up but then hunched because of the excruciating pain all over her body.

She walked towards her room, with a hand on her stomach, where her father had kicked earlier. She took support of the wall and walked aimlessly towards her room, then to her washroom.

Aleina got inside the shower, with cold water running; trying to wake herself from the endless nightmare which was her life.

After the cold water hit her wounded body did she realise that she was not waking up any time soon and what followed was the loud wailings and devastating screams, which engulfed her surroundings.

Aleina had finally stabilized her emotions and she was applying ointment on her wounds while she was getting ready to go to her Cousin Maria's house.

Her cousin, Maria Robert was married to a well- known Entertainment company owner; Edward Robert. They were a lovind and devoted couple and always invited her over every now and then.

Aleina loved visiting them. For her, Maria's house was like an escape from the Kallis family.

*Knock* *Knock*

"Young miss, The car has arrived to pick you. Are you ready?" The maid announced.

"Yes, just a moment."

Aleina hurriedly wore her clothes and stuffed some extra into a small suitcase, for her overnight stay.

Aleina grabbed her bag along with some necessities, and exited her room swiftly.

She crossed the living room when she heard some laughings coming from the dining room.

'Huh! Couldn't even bother to call me once, could they?!'

Aleina ignored their laughter and left the Kallis Villa, without bidding them and sat inside the car that was sent by her cousin Maria.

"Let's go!"

She told the chauffeur and then sat back, laying her heads down on the seat, consumed by pain and tiredness from the whole ordeal.

"Thank god sister Maria invited me over today, otherwise I would be tormented the entire night. No matter what, Father can never deny her invitation in order to please brother-in-law, after all, brother-in-law has higher status than the Kallis family."

Aleina was happy at her escape and was thankful for her cousin's invitation. She thought that atleast now she wouldn't have to face anything horrible.

If only Aleina knew that by accepting Maria's invitation, Aleina had taken her first step towards something even more terrifying, which she would regret for the rest of her life.
