7 Chapter 6: Establishment of Royalty

Mi | Gobumi | Day 3 | Goblins Den

It was another day.

I'd only recently been born, so there wasn't much I had knowledge about. As a goblin, everyone was generally the same. Most males look the same, while females might have features that stand out. It kinda depended on the person, really.

There was nothing much to do other than watch the elders go on about their day. They'd feed us large, lumpy bugs every now and then which I was happy about. Though from what I'd seen, we'd probably have to start searching for our own food like the other older ones soon.

Immediately, there was a problem. I didn't know how or where to get food, and I was pretty sure the others my age didn't either. Like I said before, most of us were generally the same. While us females seemed to be smarter than males, we were also lacking in strength.

Even with all that in mind, I thought that maybe I would still be alright. Some goblins left and never came back. It seemed occasional, but I did notice. If that was the case, then I might be facing a lot of trouble in the near future.

It was a scary thought.

But I didn't have the chance to think too much about it. I couldn't. No, not due to fear. An error had been made in my earlier observation. I realized this when a unique kind of goblin caught my eye.

I was shocked beyond words.

How could there be someone like him…..

A male goblin with hair. No, not just hair, but smooth skin, sharp facial features, and intimidating red eyes. He was too hot…Too cool! I didn't even notice when my heart began pounding in my chest. My cheeks also felt warm, it was embarrassing...!

At that moment, my body moved on its own.

"Y-you're so cool...! A-and handsome!"

I said.

No matter what, I couldn't keep calm, nor could I keep my eyes off him. But the most exciting part about it is—he was also smart. Probably even smarter than me.

I loved it especially when he complimented me. How could anyone be so nice and amazing...

I wouldn't mind mating with him, and it seemed he didn't either. Later on that day, we'd even made each other feel good. It was as if he was my destined one.

My head felt like a jumbled mess. I couldn't properly put it into words—

I…

I wanted to be with him a lot. I wanted to stay beside him for as long as I could. It didn't matter where, I just…

Didn't want to be without him.

Day 3 | Goblins Den

It was already late into the evening. Night was fast approaching, only a few hours away until the skies darkened completely.

Goblins returned to the cave one after another, preparing to rest until the sun rose once more. It wasn't just due to the fact that they were tired, but also because more powerful monsters roamed the forest after nightfall.

One didn't need to be wise to realize where obvious dangers lie. The many goblins held up inside were a perfect example of that.

However, as an overlay of orange and pink dyed the horizon, a single figure could be seen walking, already visible to those within the cave. It was short, small, and frail, seeming as though it would perish beneath the touch of any creature.

Although this was merely an evaluation at first glance, it would still be difficult to believe even if one saw what it was carrying in its hand.

A trail of blood followed behind the unique looking goblin, immediately drawing the attention of its kin. It stepped into the den, dragging the corpse of a Horned Rabbit across the ground.

The others stared on with a mixture of disbelief, greed, and wonder. That kind of prey wasn't anything close to what they could catch.

And yet, the unique goblin strolled right through. He gave each of them an amiable nod, his lips curving into a lively grin.

...Though it would've appeared a lot more pleasant if it weren't for the intoxicated light red hue coloring his cheeks.

Even so, the rest only watched him with hunger filled looks. That was all they could do. That was all they dared to do.

This unique goblin, even if born recently, had managed to kill something they couldn't. None of them believed that they could successfully take it from him.

Thus, they gazed at his passing figure, silently wiping away their own drool. They weren't qualified to partake in his meal.

No matter how low their intellect, this much could be recognized instinctively.

The difference between them wasn't just appearance wise.

Their strength was also far from equal.

Ezra | Ra | Day 4 | Goblins Den

I woke up feeling like a fresh egg that had just been hatched. Like a butterfly breaking free from its cocoon.

It's one of those mornings where every cell in your body is in agreement with your schedule. Damn, just thinking about it. That's a hard thing to come by.

There's also a strange sense of aggression building up in my chest, seeping down into my liver, circulating in my intestines, and rushing into my penis.

It's a mixed feeling. It can't be helped if I want to shed skin like a snake. I'm afraid this cold, hard earth can no longer contain something like me.

Hoo~ I'm fine now. Sometimes you just have to let it all out. The accumulation of stress and testosterone becomes life threatening at times.

I looked around at my fellow brethren stirring awake. There was a single corner of the cave already designated to this king, so no one could be seen within the range of a few feet.

That's what you call certification, not infamy. You have to build a reputation so that no bitch would dare play with your toes. All foot fanatics have no choice, I made them take a step back.

That's all well and good though. It's one of those consolation prizes since I had a pretty shitty time last night.

—Wow. 'Pretty' and 'Shit' don't mix well at all.

I'd drained most of the Horned Rabbit's blood while dragging it back to the cave, so all I had to do was dismantle each part before eating.

But that's exactly where the problem started. No, I didn't really have to go through that kind of procedure. I could've just eaten the creature raw—fur, bones, and all.

You can't blame me for deciding against it. You see, I just wanted a nice furry pillow to sleep on. Is that too much to ask for....?

It's like seeing a nice, ripe nipple right in front of you. Is it really too much to suck on it.…..?

C'mon, C'mon, C'mon....?!

I was tired, my shoulders were drooping, my legs were wobbling, why couldn't I have managed to Not brutalize that damn carcass.....

By the time I was done with it, it looked like a preschooler's art project.

Ahhh, I was frustrated. Nah….I was…I was enraged...

I had no choice but to sleep on my butchered piece of pubic hair that had been clumped together. It really wasn't half bad.

I ended up gaining a new weapon(a sharp Horn), filling my stomach with good food(whole Rabbit), and falling asleep with animosity in my heart(bullshit).

I also gained +100 DP for killing the Horned Rabbit, so there's that...

Now, in total, I have 650 DP saved up. The skills and items listed in the <<Shop >> are expensive as hell, but they're definitely worth it.

I guess it won't be a problem when I start genociding the creatures in this forest for points. Then I'll have all the skills I'll need, right?

Tell me that isn't a good idea....

C'mon, C'mon—

Okay, okay, I'm done.

As I had leveled up quite a few times from my two subjugations, it meant that there were finally some free stat points to use—45 to be exact.

I used them immediately. Most were spread around evenly with the exception of luck and agility. Mhm, the majority was poured into agility for obvious reasons.

If you're weak and stranded in the wild, the ideal scenario isn't to fight back—you're already weak, that would be pointless. You can't negotiate with a predator or prepare traps for it if it breaks your spine in less than half a second. Even if you have high defenses and vitality, you'll just be a punching bag until you croak.

So, would it not be in our best interest to—I don't know—run away...…..?

It's only a thought...!

The importance of being able to escape shouldn't be taken lightly. Plus, agility doesn't only amount to movement speed. It involves things like reaction time, flexibility, acceleration, coordination, and accuracy.

I could easily pick up the soap in case I dropped it.

Every attribute has its purpose. Some are just more useful than others.
