1 Prologue

Somewhere in the multiverse,an all powerful being was watching lives of people across the multiverse, "time for the first one", he said in a condescending tone.

"Chen He from Universe 101,step forward,"

At the moment,Chen He was in his dormitory room thinking about life and was planning on how to confess his feelings to his childhood crush and friend, Shangguan Bing Xue, not only was she the most smartest person in the school aside from him,she was the most beautiful too and because of the love he had for her he couldn't bring himself to ever see her sad especially since her day to day personality was always cold and calculating to almost every body including him her childhood friend,so when it came to academics, he always tried to get a lower mark by scoring lower than her in exams.

He was a very handsome 22yr old young man and a lot of admirers but he only ever loved Bing Xue and other guys naturally knew they couldn't stand around her when he was there.

"Maybe I should go to the archery lounge to calm the stress before I go to meet her then", he was feeling nervous and wandering what to say, when all of a sudden his consciousness felt like he had gotten sucked into a black hole.

When he looked around,he saw space all around him and he saw a man sitting on a throne and felt great reverence and respect for this man.

The mysterious man then looked at him and smiled then said"Take a look into the mirror of time and reality and you will get a vague but detailed sense of what is about to happen in your life", even though what the man said seemed unrealistic he still looked into the mirror and the look on his face kept changing, from negative to positive but he still had more negative looks.

He slumped to the floor and looked at the mysterious man and said"this all can't be right right?,there are freaking zombies and my life becomes Soo...and Bing Xue", he almost broke down from what he saw. "Never!that can't be true right being ridiculed to that extent, having the only woman I ever loved... it can't be true!".

" Aaaah,we humans always fail to accept fate but it isn't about accepting fate it's about molding your own path, don't let anyone dictate how u live your life but my advice for you is to look at what you saw and shape your life the way you want it to be shaped, because if u don't believe it or not that was how your path was written I am giving another chance to write your own path"

Chen He had not yet come to terms with what he had seen yet but he asked the man "why are you helping me?" I am still going to help you a little more but the answer for your question is "I was also a side character too".

"Huh?",he didn't understand what the man just said but before he could finish contemplating.."ok time for you to go now."

"Time for you to go now am already affecting enough of the space-time continium as it is, just as I said thread your path better and how you would want it to be,ok."

"O-ok?" Chen He still taught his mind was playing pranks on him and he probably was asleep and having some wonky dream." "You might not believe me now but hopefully you have seen the heartbreak and you will understand how to thread when the time comes".

"Woah, what happened?", Chen He was drenched in his own sweat

and was seeing vivid things from his dream. "Maybe it could have been real,oh what am I kidding, zombies pfft, I really need to head to .the archery lounge to clear my head".

He didn't think he was under so much stress that he started thinking crazily, "Bing Xue liking some random guy nah". He then stood up and started heading off to his destination, he met a couple of people, almost everyone greeting him as he passed since he even though his family was wealthy and he was also handsome and smart.

He was always kind to other people having a very good reputation in the school."If Bing Xue opened up a little more she would have a way better reputation than me" he thought.

Despite him being an all rounder in many sports,archery was his hobby,he easily dominated everyone in the school with his outstanding accuracy and it also was a good way for him to vent.

As he was getting his bullseyes over and over again and some people were cheering for him...At this moment he saw something in his retina displaying information.

When Chen He saw this,he was dumbfounded because this was one of the things he saw in his dream.

He felt proud of his stats because from what he can see the maximum human stats were 10 and he got a pretty good rating but then he remembered the guy from the dream probably had higher.

But then he heard screams and cries for help and he was not fully expecting it but he couldn't imagine what he was seeing,"Zombies!!".

But he then remembered his dream so he kept calm and he then aimed three arrows at the zombies that were coming for him,and two other guys,with perfect accuracy,he hit them point blank in the head.

There was another guy who at the further end of the room was about to be caught by a zombie but before he could fire an arrow. An hammer smacked the head of the zombie off clean.

Chen He was surprised at the brute strength the man used to smash the zombies head into meat paste.

While he was still stunned,the man started introducing himself,"Hey am Liang Peng,nice to meet you but we need to get out of here."

Chen He introduced himself and as they were about to leave the lounge he saw something in his retina.

[Second Order Versatility Lv 3.You can utilize any weapons/skills and acquire more, skill is limited till you discover more,(can evolve if enough requirements are met.]

"This skill is pretty good. "Yeah of course it's good, you would have normally killed a level 1,2 but since you killed a level way higher,the skill will be stronger and you should find a way to evolve it too."the strange voice in his head said.

As they were going they continued saving students along the way who started following them.

At this moment in a space void," I wonder how he will cope with this" the mysterious man in Chen He's "dream" chuckled.

After going on for some minutes and the amount of people they had saved were almost 30, Chen He suggested they go to the gymnasium to rest and Liang Peng and the others agreed so they started making their way there.

Since he was wearing sports clothes it was easy for him to move about and the quiver on his back wasn't really a problem but the other people hadn't started evolving yet so they were probably tired.As they were moving, Chen He spotted two zombies were about to attack some survivors and he killed them, he was at level 7 now and he had been adding his stats points to Stamina and Mana with few to Strength.

As he was picking the two arrows up and was cleaning them with a rag, he felt a burst of air to his face then he saw a dead mutated dog(because animals also evolve with the Soul Record).

Then they continued going to the gymnasium and when they got there, Chen He saw a ordinary looking guy with a sword standing by the gymnasium entrance and saw about 50 zombies in front of the entrance, but it looked like the guy with the sword was talking to himself "Well that's weird". Chen He thought.

"But let me see if I can help him",he then nocked his bow and fired 5 arrows hitting the zombies straight in the head. But since he was getting close he decided not to waste any more arrows.

"This is really hard,it took me the same amount of zombies I killed to level up from 1-7 to level up to level 8".He then went to a proper place in a building to see If he could shoot better from there, at that moment,Liang Peng had already joined the guy in front the gymnasium in fighting the zombies.

"He's moving really fast"as he was watching them fight, he saw ice bullets flash into the zombies heads...

Shangguan Bing Xue and the other group.

He was overjoyed because it was Bing Xue. He started firing his arrows once more not missing one shot. Even though her cold personality and hate towards men was very obvious he still loved her.

After two minutes, with the joined forces the eighty something amount of zombies were annihilated.

He then came to meet Bing Xue,it seemed like weight had been lifted off his shoulders and he smiled,"Bing Xue, am glad you're okay..."

Though it hurt because when she saw him the cold and indifferent expression didn't go away, at least the hatred and repulsion in her eyes had dimmed greatly"I am glad you're okay too,Chen He". Chen He was at least glad she cared for his well being.

"Hahaha this woman doesn't care about you romantically at all,her expression doesn't even change after seeing you," the mysterious man said, his words being vaguely conveyed to Chen He's ears but he brushed it off.

The ordinary looking guy was about to leave when Lieng Feng called out to him"How about you stay here with us, we can wipe out the zombies here and live a better life".

But the guy with the sword said he wanted to get the people he saved earlier.

In the void, "M.C uhn,to be expected". As he was leaving, Bing Xue started leaving too so he followed her quickly and started chatting with her.

Ten minutes later,they all formed a group of 70 people. And they proceeded to the gymnasium entrance.

When they tried to open the door it wouldn't budge, so they asked if anyone who was inside should open the door, the people inside the gymnasium were arguing with them about how they were probably infected and they could bite them.

But after five minutes and Lieng Feng threatening to break the door down, they finally opened it and the ordinary guy moved to the cafeteria, while Chen He followed Bing Xue.

After chatting for a large amount of time with him talking 90% of the time, they heard a noise coming from the cafeteria and rushed over there with Chen He holding his bow ready to shoot any moment when they got there, he sucked in a deep breath because what he saw was surprising, the guy had actually crippled all of the zombies leaving their heads intact and no blood was leaking.

Lieng Feng had a noticeable change of expression and Bing Xue had a slight frown on her face and kept moving her eyes from the zombies to the guy.

People outside started panicking and Bing Xue asked him "what are you doing?" and he said"the cafeteria has food to last a hundred people for a week and I don't like crowds so I am making this place my temporary space".

Then he took some table cloths, tied them together and started dragging the zombies out.

Chen He then asked"May I ask how ... Right we still don't know your name you are...?

"Bai Zemin" he casually replied." I see ...Bai Zemin.It's a pleasure to meet you".Chen He said.
