On a mountain distant from civilization stands a compound covered by mist all around the seasons known as the Zen'in clan, skilled in martials arts and breathing techniques pass down through generations. On one fateful day deep in the clans compound the clans mistress was giving birth. In this room barely lit by the candles, three nurses helped a lady known as Kie Zen'in whose in labour to give birth. After some hour Kie Zen'in was able to give birth to a boy. After confirming that Kie was healthy the nurses check on the baby's healthy after noticing nothing was wrong with the child was handed back to Kie. As if a ghost, a man appeared in the room frightening the nurses and with a shaky voice a name was said leader of the Zen'in clan, Tanjuro Zen'in with that all bowed.

With one look at the Kie scowled with noticeable discomfort no woman should have after giving birth she asked "what are you doing here?" Without a second thought a wild smile came across Tanjuro's face, "can't I name our own child you are my wife after all or have you forgotten?" After hearing that response the room fell silent with tension in the air, Kie relented and asked "do you have any suggestion for a name?" With that they began listing possible names eventually but after a long dispute they when with a simple name called tanjiro. As if to remember the name Kie the name tanjiro she repeated it a few and looked at her child and realized that it was quiet. With a bit of concern she observed the child with so much focus Tanjuro's had caught on to the abnormality with the child's behavior. 

As if knowing it was being watch the child opened it eyes, what had look back was not purple nor red eyes of the family, but a soulless black with red slit eyes of a cat or of a demon. With that the both couple where shocked and and slightly disgusted with its eyes due to its resembles of humanities enemy Muzan Kibutsuji. The only thing on Tanjuro mind was how will this effect the clans reputation, the first born of the leader of Zen'in clan eyes resembles a demons how ludicrous. With that Tanjuro whispered "something had to be done." Either not hearing Tanjuro or to just focused on the eyes just stared at it.

Either it was a sick joke played by fate or it was destiny for this child to be cursed it was unknown. But as soon as those eyes where seen its own mother distasted from it. Not wanting anything to do with it, Kie gave it to a nanny. To be cared for in separated part of the main compound of the clan . Without its mother no one had been there for Tanjiro, there was no mother to feed him, he was fed goats milk by nanny. Neither the clans nanny nor Tanjiro's mother wanted take care of Tanjiro Zen'in. This when on for 5 years until one day news came, informing that Kie Zen'in was pregnant again. tanjiro was only able to meet his mother five times a month. 

Tanjiro couldn't help but feel as if he was a stain to the clan." The only way to be recognized was to get stronger." Those where the last words of his nanny either it was of pity or something else, she left me with those as her last words. So he started training his body, pushing its limits all five senses where trained to its max for any situation that could happen. after some time he started training in martials arts and doing weapons' training.

Kie only spoke with him a few times ever month about his lessons in martial art, he had mastered all martial art taught to him by the clans martial arts master and was skilled with a few weapons to note. A few weapon to note is San Jie Gun or known as a three section staff, katana and kyoketsu-shoge.

As stain of the clan he was still seen as a failure, to his own clan because he lack some things vital to be a Zen'in? It was a breathing techniques as if his fated to be curse his body was unable to coop with any breathing techniques. He was the laughing stock of the clan. A shame to the clans leader they gave his curse a name the heavenly restriction. After a few months Kie stop visiting. a few days later the clan was happy a normal child was born, it was a girl named Nezuko Zen'in. 

After while almost all eyes where off him lifting a weight. two years flew by and a young child in a pink kimono walked around followed by servants in the compound yard it was Nezuko. Without looking she turned the corner after getting lost from her servant bumping in to someone falling down to the floor. Nezuko couldn't help but to start crying the culprit was a boy in a black kimono, it was tanjiro the small child had came out of no where and colliding in to him falling down in the progress. Tanjiro been was a bit confused of the crying but did his best to comfort them.

Some how he was able too ask her out of concern if she was okay. The child hearing the question nodded her head tearfully tanjiro hearing the answer he wanted, sighed in relief. Wanting to know this Childs name he asking getting a reply back "my name is Nezuko Zen'in." It took tanjiro a moment to realize he was talking too his younger sister. Tanjiro couldn't help but saying "what a nice name." That seemed to have made the young Nezuko very happy giving the world her best smile shocking tanjiro and making him smile. He didn't know when the last time he smile but it was nice. 

But to ruin his mood a shout came from behind him saying "stay away from her you wolf!" A servant ran to Nezuko who was still on the ground after the fall "miss Nezuko did that wolf hurt you, did he push you?" The servant asked frantically turning around and asked "how can you push your young sister down, you damn wolf?" after saying that she tried scowling at me but froze and took a step backed form me after looking in my eyes giving her annoyed look. Tanjiro asked "if I'm a wolf why are you standing in front of me? I might attack are you not scared? don't tell me your scared of a seven year old child how sad?" with that begin said tanjiro walked past not giving the servant his attention no more.

Young Nezuko begin shock ran with all her might to tanjiro with little legs almost making her falling she caught up to tanjiro grabbing on to his sleeve of his kimono shocking tanjiro. Nezuko couldn't help but to ask out of curiosity leaning her head "big brother?" still shock he nodded his head with that she ask "lets walk together?" Tanjiro just smiled and said okay to her request for a walk. The servant pleaded not to go with the wolf but her pleads where not heard. After a few years tanjiro gained 4 more siblings now been 20 years old he had become close to Nezuko even after know he was cursed she did care she would train with me and know she's 16 years and our siblings take up her time for training for Final Selection for our clan, we've work with the demon slayer corps a few times.

Now on Tanjiro's 20th birthday he saw his dad Tanjuro Zen'in with his mom Kie Zen'in in private they both handed him a gift and said a few words and left, tanjiro would've of liked to had talk more but what could have been said. They had gave him two gifts, one was wrapped in a long soft black silk securing the object was gold cord tied on and the other was in a small red box. opening the small gift it was iron dog tag with the name tanjiro Zen'in the black wolf after looking at tanjiro just place to his side the next give was have unwrapping it was a Ōdachi katana. Unsheathing the it was bigger than a average katana unsheathing was a bit trick but was confused why such a large sword taking a closer look the sword turned black had Nezuko had gotten her katana when she was 15years old hers turned blue so what the difference tanjiro thought to him self. without think to much he when to sleep with the dog tag on. It was the start of summer Final Selection will be starting soon tanjiro said his goodbye to Nezuko, tanjiro prayed for successes in the Final Selection.
