2 Formation of Team 7 [Edited]

After 3 years...

Naruto was now 12 years old. The day was special because it marked the conclusion of the academy, the final day before graduation. This, of course, assumed the successful completion of the required exams.

The young boy with blonde hair and a blindfold was confident in his abilities and fully expected to pass, given his exceptional strength.

The 12-year-old had yellowish blonde hair and bright blue eyes obscured by a blindfold. He was dressed in standard clothing, similar to Canon.

Naruto stood in front of the academy, subsequently reentering for what he believed would be the final time.

Two figures, he could always feel guarding him, accompanied him. "I suppose these circumstances will need to change now that I will be becoming a shinobi today," He thought.

How was he able to sense them, you might wonder? The answer lies in his eyes. He gradually realized that his eyes were not like those of others; they were somehow different.

These remarkable eyes granted him extraordinary abilities such as heightened perception and sensing. With these eyes, he could discern details that were imperceptible to others.

As a result, even with his eyes closed, he remained cognizant of his surroundings, which took a toll on his mental well-being.

Therefore, as advised by the ophthalmologist, he always shielded his eyes with dark glasses or a blindfold, yet he remained acutely perceptive.

Naruto entered the academy and took a seat beside the window.

"You're here? Naruto... What a drag," a voice echoed in Naruto's ears, prompting him to look up and see a boy in a standard Shinobi suit staring at him.

"Hello, Shikamaru! What can be done! I am the top student after all, and it wouldn't be appropriate for the brightest and strongest ninja to arrive late."

Shikamaru was one of the few boys who didn't distance himself from Naruto or let adults influence his thoughts.

"Well, I agree with you on that."

"So, Shikamaru, what are your plans after graduation?"

Shikamaru scoffed, "What a drag... I guess I didn't planned anything."

"You didn't plan anything?"

"That's too much work, I skip... Anyway, what do you want to be?" Shikamaru asked, closing his eyes.

"I don't know. Maybe I'll become the strongest so no one can look down on me."

Naruto was excited about becoming Shinobi and was thinking about it when suddenly a girl with a pair of white eyes, dark blue hair, and fair skin entered the room. It was Hinata Hyuga.

A memory of the past flashed in front of Naruto. He remembered an incident 5 years ago when he was 7 years old. He saved the girl from two bullies.

She used to get bullied quite a lot. Her featureless lavender eyes, a signature of the Hyuga Clan, freaked many of her classmates out. This resulted in many kids her age beginning to bully her ruthlessly.

Naruto many times stepped in and protected her because he knew what it's like to get insulted by others as he was insulted by everyone too.

Naruto grew feelings for the girl, but he couldn't say it to her as she was too shy and whenever Naruto was around her she blushed and her face turned red like a cherry.

So, Naruto thought to take things slowly. This was another trait of his eyes that he could understand others' feelings, which made him understand others in a better way.

His thoughts were stopped by a sudden voice, "Hey! Naruto.... How are you?" A girly voice was heard. Naruto looked towards where the sound came from. It was Ino.

Ino was one of the girls in the class who had a crush on Naruto. Ino was a friend of Shikamaru, so because of Shikamaru, she gets to talk with Naruto often.

"I'm fine," Naruto replied to Ino.

Naruto again understood her feelings but was never interested in her. He knew that she was one of those girls who liked him because of his prodigious nature, but he didn't care. He only treated her as a friend.

After that, another voice came, "Hey, you all! What're you guys talking about?" It was Choji who had a packet of chips in his hand, eating them as always. They all started to have a conversation.

Naruto and his friends' conversation was interrupted by a sudden voice. It was Iruka, a Chunin, and their teacher at the academy.

"Today is your last class before officially becoming Shinobi. You'll start as genins first. But tonight before giving you the headbands of Konoha, you'll be tested in Taijutsu matchup. The results don't matter much as we have already decided the students who will become genins this year."

"Taijutsu matchup... What a drag," Shikamaru said without any interest.

Naruto got excited and said, "I get to showcase my strength finally tonight and test it as well."

Everyone started whispering about the Taijutsu matchup and everything.

Iruka stopped them, "The matches will be held in the ground, outside."

When a student asked, "So, who is going to face whom, how will it be decided, Iruka-sensei?"

Iruka, looking at a paper, said, "The matches are already decided by academy higher-ups and all the teachers. Let's go to the ground and then I'll tell about the matchups."

After they went outside, 13 matches finished one by one, and it was time for the main event. Everyone was very excited for this match.

Iruka announced, "And the last match of today, the topper of this year's class Uzumaki Naruto and 3rd of this year's class Uchiha Sasuke, I'd like to have them in the ground."

Sasuke came first, which made his fan girls erupt in a huge cheer.

Naruto, on the other hand, came there using body flicker technique in style, saying "Uzumaki Naruto is here."

Sasuke twitched his brow, "Always showing off, huh Naruto, but we'll see if you can show off after you lose," he said arrogantly.

"Yeah, we saw what happens when we face so many times before. I beat you and say you'll see me the next time, and the next time never comes," Naruto said in a taunting voice.

"You...." Sasuke growled in anger.

Which Naruto just laughed off.

Naruto's fan girls started cheering for him, calmly destroying Sasuke with their voices.

"Boys, please cease your conversation and proceed to demonstrate the Unison," Iruka said.

After that, "Fight begins," the fight started with Iruka's instructions.

Sasuke went on to Naruto, but Naruto, without moving a single inch or even flinching, stood there, as he saw Sasuke's all attacks getting caught in his limitless.

Sasuke, after a lot of tries, spoke, "Hey! Stop playing your stupid game and fight me directly with all your power."

Naruto smirked, "I don't need to try hard, after all - You're weak," he said in a mocking voice.

Sasuke got more angered at Naruto and went on to attack Naruto again, shouting "Naruto..."

Naruto caught all his attacks with limitless and as Sasuke was trying to punch him he dodged which made Sasuke lose his momentum and all of a sudden Naruto kicked him in his stomach, sending Sasuke flying away.

"By attacking like this, you won't be able to touch me let alone beating me," Naruto said in a calm voice.

Naruto had his eyes blindfolded and still he didn't have to drop a sweat to fight Sasuke, which made Sasuke angrier and angrier.

"Huff... huff," Sasuke gasped for air.

"Yeah, Naruto is so cool," girls from the side who were watching their match started whispering, with loud cheers, from them Ino with the loudest cheer.

Naruto was searching for Hinata and he discovered her positioned behind, near a tree. Naruto lowered his blindfold slightly to reveal a single eye and winked at her, causing Hinata to blush and her face turned rosy. This also stirred whispers among the other girls who began saying "Naruto-kun just winked at us, he's really awesome."

"Look at how beautiful those eyes are! I can watch those eyes all day," one of the girls commented.

Naruto put the blindfold back over his eyes.

Sasuke's fan girls were silent. One of them being a girl with pink hair and a huge forehead, Sakura, who had a crush on Sasuke.

Sasuke ran towards Naruto saying, "Don't avoid me... you bas…tard...."

Naruto with swift motion caught Sasuke and punched in his stomach which made Sasuke drop on his knees. Before he could continue though, Iruka came between them and stopped Naruto, announcing "Naruto is the winner."

Naruto went to Sasuke, offering him a hand. "You're okay, right? I just went with the flow, sorry if I hurt you too much!"

Sasuke took Naruto's hand and stood up, saying, "Yeah, fine. But next time I'll beat you for sure, that's a promise."

"Yeah, the only thing I can say is we will see, like every time," replied Naruto. His fangirls were cheering loudly at his win, with Naruto waving back at them.

Iruka cleared his throat. "So, that's it for our matchups tonight. Let's go inside where you'll be given your ninja headbands."

After distributing the headbands, Iruka began to speak. "As of now, you are all official shinobi of the Konoha village, and you'll have teammates. Each team will consist of three genins."

He paused before continuing, "So, I'll announce your teams now, listen carefully."

"Team 7, consisting of Uzumaki Naruto, Haruno Sakura, and Uchiha Sasuke, will be led by Hatake Kakashi."

"Team 8, consisting of Kiba Inuzuka, his Ninken Akamaru, Hinata Hyūga, and Shino Aburame, will be led by Kurenai Yūhi."

"Team 10, consisting of Shikamaru Nara, Ino Yamanaka, and Chōji Akimichi, will be led by Asuma Sarutobi."

Sakura was thrilled to be teamed up with her crush Sasuke and the most popular boy in their class, Naruto.

On the other hand, Ino was angry that Sakura, and not she, was teamed up with Naruto, but couldn't do anything about it.

"It seems we're on the same team," Naruto said, looking at Sasuke.

"Yeah, and I'll beat you next time," Sasuke replied.

"Even if you beat me next time, the score will still be 99-1," countered Naruto.

"99?" Sakura exclaimed in shock.

"Shikamaru, congratulations to you and your team," Naruto said, looking at the members of Team 10.

"Thanks, Naruto-kun. I just wish we could've been on the same team," Ino said while looking at Naruto.

"It doesn't matter, do your best," Naruto confidently told Ino.

Naruto then went over to Hinata, who was sitting alone in a corner.

"Hey, Hinata! What's up?" Naruto greeted as he approached her.

Hinata started blushing just from looking at Naruto. "Fine, Naruto-kun. H-h-how are you?" Hinata asked so softly that it was almost inaudible.

But Naruto heard what she said. "I'm fine as well. Congratulations on becoming a shinobi," he told her.

"Thanks, Naruto-kun. Congratulations to you too," Hinata replied.

While they were talking, mostly Naruto talking and Hinata listening, Kurenai came and took Team 10 and Hinata away.

Naruto said goodbye to her and went to sit with his teammates.

Every team went with their mentor except for Team 7, who were still waiting for theirs.

Everyone was gone and the room was empty, leaving only Team 7.

After a while, they saw the door to the room open and a young man enter.

The man was tall and fit, with fair skin, spiky silver hair, and dark grey eyes, save for his right eye which was covered by a face mask.

"Hey, I'm Kakashi Hatake, and I'm your mentor," the man introduced himself.

"Yeah, you're right on time. I would like to learn how to be this disciplined about timing," Naruto said in a sarcastic tone. Sakura nodded in agreement.

Kakashi told them some stories and then instructed them to meet him on the rooftop of the academy building where they were to introduce themselves.

After a while, they all gathered on the rooftop, with Kakashi standing in front and the three genins sitting in front of him.

"Okay, I'll start the introductions. My name is Kakashi Hatake. I don't want to share my hobbies, I've never thought about my dreams, and my likes and dislikes are none of your business," Kakashi said.

"So, the only thing he said about himself is his name," Naruto said, to which Sakura nodded in agreement.

Naruto then began his introduction. "I am Naruto Uzumaki, one of the last members of my clan. My dream or goal is to become the strongest of all and reestablish my clan," he said with a confident smile.

Then Sasuke and Sakura introduced themselves as usual.

After the introductions, Kakashi told them about a test for the next day and gave them each a paper where the information about the test was written.

He instructed them to arrive there in the morning and to not eat anything beforehand.

"See you tomorrow," Kakashi said before leaving.

Reading the information, Naruto smirked, thinking, "So this is their plan, huh? You can't fool me."

Sasuke looked at him with a question in his mind, but Naruto stopped him and said, "I understood something, and I'll tell you tomorrow."

Sasuke nodded in understanding, and Sakura also nodded, though she didn't understand what they were talking about.

After saying their goodbyes, they went their separate ways.

[ Here I Would like to end the chapter, I Know it's slow paced . But I Think I tried my best to make it entertaining for you. Also I Had to write the last part twice as I forgot to save the first time , so that's why it took a little long to complete the episode.
