7 CHAPTER 7 A Powerful Enemy Appears.

'Hey why didn't I get any levels after killing this guy' Di Tian complained inwardly seeing that he didn't get to level up.

>>Do you think levelling up is so easy, the rodent you killed just now was more or less around your level. <<

>>You won't instantly level up just because you defeated an enemy as strong as yourself. <<

>>The previous incident with that squirrel was only a lucky encounter, if it hadn't gotten injured due to your sneak attack that creature could've kill you ten times before you could even move from your original position. <<

The <Wise One> berated without holding back.

'Whatever, for now let's just go back to the cave' Di Tian didn't talk back either because he knew that she was speaking the truth.

He simply decided to head back and get some quality sleep, a long time had passed, and it was already evening.

Di Tian turned around and slowly walked back to the cave.

'Finally, I can see the cave' a sight of relive escaped from him as he got near the cave.

'I'm so exhausted mentally that I will probably sleep until the next sun rise.'

Just as Di Tian was walking towards his cave...

GROWL!!!

A loud growl resounded in the surroundings, in the dark gloomy forest aside from the previous growl the whole forest was silent, so much that even a pin drop could be heard.

'What was that?'

Di Tian was frightened by that sudden growl, it didn't sound as though it came from a far away.

Whichever creature made that sound is nearby, this is the conclusion he came up with.

This realization made him afraid, now that he noticed there wasn't any small creature in the surroundings either.

Normally even in nighttime there would still be some creatures going to their abode, but right now there were none.

>>There are only two possibilities. <<

>> First being that all of the creatures are gone. <<

>>Second, a fierce predator is nearby, so they don't dare to come out of their hiding spot. <<

>>I would lean on the second possibility. <<

The <Wise One> further confirmed his suspicious, he wasn't alone in this area.

Di Tian hurriedly activated <Lesser Extra Senses> to its fullest and began to scan the area of around hundred meters around him.

There was no creature around him, but...

Right on top of the entrance of the cave a fierce predator was standing proudly while gazing at him with its cold vertical pupils.

Its eyes were shining like amber in the midnight.

The creature was already standing ready on the spot indicating that it was waiting for something or someone for hours now.

Its sharp claws were spread-out and its dangerous looking fangs that threaten to tear any prey were on full display.

'But how did this thing even come here?'

This was the only question that rang in his mind as Di Tian stared at the creature.

The one standing on top of the cave was none other than the wild cat that Di Tian had previously seen.

'Did it really sensed my energy waves at that time?' he began to question himself as he recalled the moment when the creature looked around with vigilance as soon as he tried to send out energy waves.

>>It is impossible for the creature who has not even come in contact with Spiritual energy to sense your energy waves emitted by <Lesser extra Senses> for they aren't tangible. <<

>>The only explanation is that the wild cat in front of you has extraordinary sixth sense, I estimate that it had felt someone spying at him at that time as a result it kept searching for anomalies around the area. <<

>>That should be how it got here. <<

'Damn me and my accursed luck' Di Tian cursed inwardly when he heard <Wise One> explain about the theory it came up with.

There was no reason to deny, even when he had checked its status, he had seen a skill that said that the creature had extraordinary sixth sense.

'Do I really have to fight this guy' Di Tian frowned upon thinking of fighting the predator in front of him.

There was no suspense, he knew that he won't be able to survive under the claws of this wild cat, even with his enhance stats their position as hunter and prey remained the same.

>>With your current stats and skill set, the chances of you coming out of a direct confrontation here is 0.1%. <<

'I Don't have even 1% chance, even with my current stats and my new skills?'

>>The base damage of your skill <Roll> is ineffective against the creature in front of you, and to deal more damage your skill needs to build up momentum The creature would've already killed you ten times by the time you are done building up enough momentum. <<

'What are my chances of escaping usefully if I run using <Roll>'

>>You will use your stamina in order to use <Roll> your opponent has many times more stamina than you, before you are able to escape your stamina will run out. <<

Di Tian and <Wise One> began to discuss with each other as Di Tian thought of coming up with a strategy that will allow him to successfully survive his current circumstances.

Yet it seemed like his enemy wasn't in the mood to wait for him to come up with a plan of escape.

GROWL!!!

All this talking and discussion he had with <Wise One> took less than a single second, but the creature wasn't planning to wait for his prey to prepare itself.

With a low growl it calmly ran towards him at a steady phase.

'I guess I have no choice but to fight to my death' Di Tian strengthened his resolve as he prepared himself for the upcoming fight which will definitely be the hardest since his coming into this world.

He once again glanced at his and wild cat's status.
