Chapter 45: Chased By Maid

On the lower deck, Ada gradually approached sector C. Originally, she was supposed to go straight to the cargo hold to get things and meet up with Li Yexing, and then leave, but since entering the lower deck, a series of unexpected situations had left Ada a bit caught off guard.

However, if the rate at which the host obtains nutrients from food cannot keep up with the virus's metabolism, the virus will begin to damage the host's body. The clinical symptoms are hair loss, skin ulcers, and further destruction of the brain. Infected individuals begin to lose their sanity and eventually become monsters controlled by their hunger, namely, zombies.
Of course, all of this is based on the premise that the rate of food intake cannot keep up with metabolism. But what if the rate of food intake exceeds metabolism? The answer is evolution, infected individuals will become a type of monster called Lickers, which are more agile, stronger, and more ferocious.
Li Yexing suspected that this monster might be a similar creature to a Licker. The characteristics of the infected on the ship were very similar to the Ooze infected with the T-Abyss virus. Assuming that the virus that broke out now is a variant of the T-Abyss virus or another virus developed based on the T-virus, is it possible that the infected individuals on the ship will also exhibit Licker-like characteristics?
Thinking of this, Li Yexing felt his scalp tingle. He had already wasted too much time and could not delay any longer. "Speed up. We will enter the lower deck directly from sector C," Li Yexing turned to Lilith and Helen and said.
