Chapter 20

January 1, 2020

"Hey, Elly ready to head over to Lou and Harry's" Niall yelled through the house.

"Yeah, I'll be down in a second" I yelled back and finished tying my shoes, grabbed my purse, and ran downstairs to find Niall waiting by the door. "Let's go," I said and we walked out of the house.

When we got to Harry's house everyone was already there and hanging out in the backyard. "Hey boys," I said as we walked into the back.

"Hey Elly, hey Niall" they all cheered.

We all sat around and talked until dinner was ready. When the food was ready and set on the table we all sat down and started to eat, talk, and laugh... a lot.

"Hey Elly," Liam said looking around the table at the other boys.

"We have something to ask you," Harry said.

"Ok?"

"So you know how we are getting back together, which means you are out of a job," Louis said.

"Thanks for reminding me," I remark.

"Well maybe you won't be," Zayn said.

"I'm confused," I say.

"Well we were wondering if you wanted to be our manager," Harry asked.

"What? You guys want me to be your manager?"

"Yeah," they said in unison.

"Why? I'm 18, and this comeback will be huge. You trust me with that?"

" Elly you did an amazing job managing Haz" Zayn said with a smile.

"We talked to management and they agreed so it is official you are One Directions new manager if you want," Liam said.

"Are you kidding, of course, I would love to. I'm just a little surprised you guys want me to be" I laugh.

"Trust me we do," Niall said.

"Hey your bias," I say squeezing his hand under the table.

"Elly I think we are all bias" Louis laughed.

I laugh and say "Oh thanks that make me feel great."

January 2nd

Niall and I pulled up to the airport and grabbed my stuff out of the back. I was going back to Colorado for a couple of weeks before the boys announced them getting back together. Niall will come down next week then we go back home. "I'm going to miss you," I say into Niall's shoulder.

"Baby I will see you in a week, but I am going to miss you too" he replies.

"I love you," I said pulling back from the hug a little so I could see his face.

"I love you too baby. You going to be late for your flight" he says but still not letting go of me.

I leaned in and kissed him then pulled away and grabbed my bags and said "I will see you in a week, I love you."

"Bye baby," he said and I walked into the airport.

When my plane landed I headed to my parent's house and honestly it feels weird because I haven't been here in a year. I spent Christmas with Niall's family and I hadn't even seen them in persons since the tour.

"Mom, Dad" I yelled through the house.

"Elly" my mom yelled running downstairs.

"Hi mom," I said hugging her tight.

"I missed you, baby girl".

"I've missed you too, where's dad?"

"Work, the hotel is very busy right now," my mom said with a small sad smile.

"I'm sorry," I said.

" it's ok, so how are the boys," my mom asked curiously.

"Niall is great and the boys are good as well but I do have some news," I say and we walk over to the couch and sit down on it.

"Ok? You making me nervous".

"The band is getting back together so I'm not Harry's manager anymore," I said with fake sadness.

"Oh Elly I'm so sorry, I know you loved that job but I also know that 15 years old you are happy they are back together," she said sympathetically.

"Yeah, she is. I bet she would be even happier to know that now I managing the band" I say with a huge smile.

"What, Elly that is amazing but you suck for making it seem like you are sad," she said as slapped my arm.

"I'm sorry and thanks."

"It's ok. So when did they ask you?"

"Yesterday, we all had dinner at Harry and Louis' house and then they asked".

"Oh Elly that is amazing, I am so proud of you," my mom says hugging me again.

The next day I decided to give Lena a call and we decided to hang at her house for a bit. After a few minutes, I noticed that Lena is acting a little stange, so I asked "Hey Lena are you ok? you seem a little off."

"I'm fine I just started my period that's all". And then it hit me when was the last time I got my period? Lena must have seen my face pale because she asked "Elly are you ok?"

"Ummm I-I'm fine. W-what's today's d-date?"

"It's the 6th, why?"

"Shit... Lena, I think... I think I'm pregnant... "

"Are you sure?"

"Well no but I haven't gotten my period in a while. Lena, I know this isn't your problem but will you come with me to get a pregnancy test? "

"Elly I am your best friend that is basically my job."

"Wait shit where am I going to take the test? I can't make it here because then your family will think your pregnant and I can't take it at my parent's house because my parents will figure out that I am or am not. Where am I going to take it? "

"I guess a public bathroom."

"Ok" and with that, we headed out the door to find out if I was going to have a baby. I mean I have always wanted kids but I'm 18 it's a little early but then again that's how my life has seemed to work the last few years. I got my dream job at 17, met me, dream guy, at 16, started dating said dream guy at 17 even though he was 25. I came back into reality when the car stopped but when the car turned off and Lena opened her door I just sat there. "Lena I'm scared".

"Hey you stop for one we don't even know if you are, but if you are pregnant you have Niall, Harry, and Louis, plus you will be an amazing mom."

"Thank you Lena that means a lot but I'm 18 and the manager of a huge boy band that all my support happens to be in."

"Elly do you know how amazing that is you will always be with them and you have Harry 'ooh pregnant lady' Styles... Wait did you say, boy band... And you are managing them?" She asked and I nodded. "Thanks for telling me, but we will discuss that later. Like I was saying Elly you will do better than fine this kid will be raised by Liam, Harry, Louis, Niall, and you... This kid is going to be a superhero or something like that. "

"Thank you, Lena, I have made me feel much better and also Zayn."

" What? "

"Oh yeah, that's another thing Zayn is back."

"Wow not only did you not tell me you are now managing one direction, but Zayn is also back... What a friend you are" with that I opened the door and got out of the car and so did Lena.

"I'm sorry that's not how I wanted to tell you, I wanted it to be a surprise or something," I said as we walked up to the store.

"It's ok, I forgive you," she said and wrapped one arm around me as We walked into the store and over to the pregnancy tests.

I stared at the boxes for a little bit but then I asked "Which one do I take?"

" I don't know just pick one? "

I said "Ok" and grabbed a random test.

We walked over to self check out and I bought the test. After we finished checking out we walked back to the bathroom. We got there and I went into a stall to pee on a stick. After I was done I walked out and sat on the floor to wait the longest three minutes of my life. The timer on Lena's phone went off signaling the three minutes were up but I could not seem to bring myself to look. Lena and I waited on the bathroom floor waiting for me to have enough courage to look at the thing. "I think I'm ready," I say and turn over the little stick. "I'm pregnant ."
