33 Drunken Night

Jaune and I tested our Nichirin after we received it, we spared for a bit instead of swinging our blades aimlessly.

Clang- clang-!

I moved at a speed that broke the sound barrier and aimed at Jaune's vital spots without hesitation, and he countered every attempt I did.

I believe that he has improved again, he isn't showing many openings as before, and his attacks are actually sharper than before.

The audience couldn't tell what we were doing but, both of them had a look of awe as they witnessed our sparring.

They weren't greenhorns, they saw plenty of demon slayers every year and know what's common and special amongst them, and our performance is Hashira's level!

They never saw a new character that had just finished their final selection exam demon slayer that has too much skill a Hashira.

Though it's not the first time it happened, this rarely happens! They are truly lucky that the people that are going to use their creation are skilled.

I swung my blade one last time, and Jaune deflected it with a grin on his face, proud of what he had done, he knew that he was better than before and he was satisfied with the result of his daily training.

"You've improved." I praised him, I'm a bit jealous because unlike him I've reached a bone neck. I couldn't improve unless I fight a battle with everything I have and break my limit, the limit of humanity. If I could break it I wouldn't be a 'human' anymore, at least in physical strength.

Jaune couldn't exactly give me a battle that could break my limits, but Archer could.

I'm seriously considering asking him to have a battle with me.

"Haha, thank you but I'm still not at your level even though I have an aura and you don't." Jaune sheepishly replied, and scratched his head.

I wasn't sure what to say after hearing the inferiority in his voice, when did he have that? He doesn't have a reason to lower himself.

"Is that inferiority I hear? Stop that, don't ever think that you are inferior to me, it's bad for your health," I said seriously, I'm not going to let that inferiority complex of his grow, it would be a problem to deal with in the future.

Jaune was embarrassed that I noticed this, "I-i'm sorry! I can't help it y'know?"

"Then help it, because I never considered you as inferior to me, you're a rival and a brother to me, you hear that? Don't think of negativity."

"Yes! I'll do that!" Jaune with more strength in his tone.

Good, he must remain positive because nothing good will happen if he succumbs to that unhealthy mentality.

After our exchange, we both gave the blacksmiths that made our blades a grateful expression, we aren't petty nor we're ungrateful.

That night, we celebrated because it was the start of our 'temporary' job, so we closed the restaurant earlier than usual.

Of course, we invited the blacksmiths to celebrate, they both refused at first but we managed to convince them and I made sure that they wouldn't regret it.

The people that are here were Tamayo, Archer, Lucifer, Echidna, Makugo, Jaune, Akihito, and his blacksmith companion, and surprisingly Kanao.

Kanae and Shinobu left her here because this is where her 'father' lives she's in good hands (Or not because it's Archer) the reason why they left her to Archer's care is they had a extermination job to do and because they didn't want her to be left alone in the Flower Mansion which is going to be the Butterfly Mansion in the future, because for obvious reason.

Everyone enjoyed the dinner without exception, and yes including Lucifer she finally accepted the fact that Archer is a good cook, regretfully.

I don't usually drink, but today I did, and this shit burns! My throat feels dry after one drink and I was sure that this was the highest percentage of liquor I have had in life, and surprisingly I didn't get drunk immediately which was a surprise.

I know myself, I'm a light drinker, even a 5% glass of liquor could get me drunk, this was my first cup of liquor so my mind is still clear.

I stared at the blacksmith with an amused expression, because they had already finished a bottle of liquor. They began to laugh with just the slightest movement and they moved funny.

As I was about to take my second cup, suddenly Echidna moved beside me, and greeted me with a slight smile, "Having fun?"

I didn't expect her to get beside me, I was a bit overwhelmed by her action, but despite that, I replied, "I do,"

"That's good this celebration is for you guys, after all, it wouldn't be fair for you if you don't enjoy it."

"That's true, but hey isn't this the first time in a week that we actually met and talked?" I tried to meet and talk to her after our date, but she was always in her laboratory at that time, she basically shut herself off into the world with Tamayo that week.

Echidna shook her head with a regretful face, "Sorry about that, I went all out last week and I only got out today from my laboratory, and the good news is I have finally created a sample of my research, a serum that makes you immortal though it's still a prototype."

Wow, that's all I can think of. It's amazing that she really managed to create such a miraculous invention billions would kill to get such a sample from her!

"That's amazing, even though it's still a prototype you still managed to make it, that's not something anyone could just make you know?"

"Indeed." Even Echidna admits that not many could create something that makes people immortal, she only got lucky because she had some samples and a smart brain.

Then she added, "By the way, I heard from Jaune that you wait outside my laboratory every day hoping that I get out. You miss me that much?"

Echidna gave me a teasing smile.

I became flustered because it's partially true. As much as I want to blame Jaune for spilling the beans, I know very well that even without him telling her about my actions, she would sooner or later know about it because it's hardly a secret.

So in conclusion, lying will only lead to digging a bigger hole. As much as I am embarrassed, I have to admit it.

"Yes I do, but can you blame me? You made an impression on me during our date."

Echidna was pleased with my answer, she had a smile, not just any smile but a smile that was so beautiful that I can't help but stare at it in awe.

"Oh? I did? I didn't know that I had such an impact on you." Echidna said in a foreign tone like she didn't expect such a reaction from me, which she did.

I gave her a stinking look, this woman was playing ignorant.

"Yeah, bite me, you sure did." I rolled my eyes.

"Fufu, should I?" Echidna gave me a predatory look as if saying 'try me'

"Should you?" I challenge her.

Echidna did the unexpected, she leaned close to me and bit my neck enough to get me a hickey.

After she separated her lips to my neck, I looked at her stunned. I didn't expect her to do it, how bold.

And the worst part is, everyone saw it and each one of them had a different reaction, but mostly amused by the sight.

I know it wasn't supposed to be me that should be embarrassed, however, I received the second hand of it.

Damnit, if this continues I might start simping for her, which is the thing I wanted to avoid because the last time I did. It didn't go well.

Boys, there is nothing wrong with being a simp, but too much is unhealthy.

"Echidna…you really did it…"

"Yes, I did. Do you want another demonstration? Because I don't mind repeating it." Echidna said amused, but I can tell that she was serious.

I gulped, it was tempting but no, I must fight the power of horni.

"No, thank you but I'll wear your 'hickey' with pride." I wasn't sure what I was thinking at that moment, but I said it.

Echidna's eyes widened a little, then her lips curved into a smile, "Yes..of course, you do.."

Everyone started giggling around me, and it was embarrassing to me. I wish I could dig a hole and bury myself inside it because this is just embarrassing!

In a spur of a moment, I took a bottle of liquor and started chugging it, hoping to forget the embarrassing moment that occurred a moment ago.

The blacksmiths cheered at my bold action, not many have the balls to drink an entire bottle of liquor such as this in one go!

I earned their awe and respect, but the price wasn't worth it, or maybe it did?

After that, I didn't have any memories of what happened that night.

I slowly opened my eyes, and I could feel my head splitting into two. It was so terrible I felt nauseous at the same time, it wasn't a good morning at all.

In the middle of my terrible headache, I suddenly noticed that I'm half-naked, then I felt something squishy in my right hand. I looked at the source and froze.

It was an equally naked Echidna beside me, at that moment I felt like time had stopped.

"No way! Did I finally lose my V Card?!"
