Samuel's diary part 3

It has been 16 years since that incident and now that I am 22 years old, I decided to accept the offer of the man named Kenneth and have become one of the followers of the cultus demonic. When I was 16 years old I decided to become an alchemist because of my interest in herbs, poisons, and so on. I also often conducted various experiments when I succeeded in making potions. I wanted to see what effect happened when the potion entered the body. At first, I did it with animals as test subjects, but my curiosity grew until I finally started experimenting on humans.

At first, it was very difficult to find humans as test subjects because the activities I was doing were illegal experiments, I decided to make the homeless in the slums as test subjects because they had no homes plus the indifference of the community towards them must have made it easier for me to make them as test subjects. I began to kidnap them one by one and brought them to the house that I bought specifically as a place to conduct experiments and create a research lab located underground.

As time went on, people began to find out about the mysterious disappearance of the homeless and linked it to the slave trade and such. I, who felt that my actions were no longer safe, tried to find another safer way to conduct illegal experiments. Finally, Mr. Kenneth came to see me and suggested that I build an orphanage to cover up my illegal experiments. Mr. Kenneth said that my experiments should continue for the sake of the cultus demonic, he was so interested and pleased with all the results of my experiments that he decided to give me more support.

I also discovered another interesting fact, namely the fact that Mr. Kenneth had a cooperation contract with the King of Jordan Rudess so he had a very large influence in the Golden Kingdom, I immediately followed the advice given by Mr. Kenneth after receiving approval from the King of Jordan Rudess I started building an orphanage in the city center of the Golden Kingdom, the residents were enthusiastic about the plan to build an orphanage, many of them began to praise myself as a generous and kind person. It's all because I also often participate in social activities and do charity work which aims to avoid the suspicion of the residents against me.

About 5 months later my orphanage was finally completed and inaugurated on the next day the abandoned children began to arrive at my orphanage although some were recommended to come to the orphanage. I also set up a medicine or herb shop as additional income, my medicine shop is the best in the Golden Kingdom.

I'm currently in my shop checking the inventory of potions and medicines until I hear a commotion downstairs, I start to leave the inventory room and go downstairs. Arriving downstairs I could see a grandmother who was sitting on the floor while pleading with one of my employees.

"I told you that nothing is free in this world, if you want medicine to cure your granddaughter you have to pay," said one of the employees.

"Please my granddaughter is seriously ill, I have to give her medicine right now otherwise my granddaughter could die, I will pay when I have the money. I promise to pay on time but please help" said the grandmother putting her hands together while crying begging the employee for mercy.

"Don't you understand I said no..."

"What's going on?"

Before the employee could finish his sentence, I cut him off. The employee who saw my arrival immediately greeted me and said.

"Ah... Mr. Samuel, this lady wants to buy medicine for her granddaughter who is seriously ill, but unfortunately, she has no money I told her that if she wants to give medicine to her granddaughter then she has to pay for it first."

"Oh... I understand"

"I beg you, Mr. Samuel, please give me the medicine that can cure my granddaughter's illness, I promise to pay later," said the grandmother as she prostrated herself at my feet.

"Stand up grandma, tell me what illness your granddaughter has," I said as I helped her up.

"I... I don't know either Mr. Samuel, my granddaughter suddenly fell ill after playing with other children in the northern forest near the Golden Kingdom. There was a rash all over her body, my granddaughter also had a high fever and until now the fever has not gone away. Her eyes are also red, I don't know what to do Mr. Samuel, I have no money to take my granddaughter to the hospital."

"Hmm... I have never seen symptoms of such an illness, please take me to your granddaughter's place so that I can check her condition so that I can give her the appropriate medication."

The people who were in Samuel's place began to praise his actions, they regarded Samuel as a role model, and not a few of them even idolized Samuel.

I started walking after the grandmother, after a few minutes of walking I finally arrived at an old wooden house where some of the wood had been damaged by termites. The grandmother invited me into her house and we started walking towards the room where her granddaughter was, after getting there I saw a little girl who was sleeping with a wet towel on her forehead. I started approaching the little girl and started checking her condition, I started checking her eyes. I opened her eyelids and after I opened them, I could see that the cornea of the girl's eye had turned white with the sclera of the eye being red like someone had broken a blood vessel in her eye. I continued to examine her skin there were many red spots with veins protruding on her body you could say the condition of this little girl was very bad but what made her become like this, was it because of the poisonous plant or something else, just thinking about it made me excited anyway I had to get something that made this little girl dying, I might be able to make an evolution that would make my research perfect.

"Her condition is worse than I thought, the symptoms that this little girl is experiencing are too severe, and now she is in critical condition"

"Really, what should I do Mr. Samuel, I don't want to lose my granddaughter again...hiks...hiks" said the grandmother while crying at the sight of her granddaughter's condition.

"For now I can't do much but I will give the antidote to suppress the poison in his body although I don't know the type of poison from flowers or animals these symptoms make clear that he has been poisoned."

"Here take this money and go to the hospital for further treatment, I will come to the hospital later to check the poison in her body," I said as I handed over some gold coins.

"Thank you very much, Mr. Samuel, I will never forget your kindness," the grandmother said and started carrying her granddaughter to the hospital.

I left the grandmother's house and started to go to the northern forest mentioned by the grandmother, after walking for a few minutes I finally reached the forest in question. I started walking around the forest to see if there were any poisonous flowers or animals around. 2 hours I kept looking until I finally found a flower that had a strange shape, the flower was shaped like a lily but in the middle, there were petals shaped like a snake's tongue and had a striking blood red color. I had seen the flower in a book about poisonous plants before but I couldn't remember the name of the flower. I finally decided to take the flower home by using my aura to pick the flower, I didn't dare to use my hands for fear of being poisoned by the flower.

I took out the special jar that I always carry in my storage bag, after which I immediately put the flower into the jar and put it back into the storage bag. After everything was done I decided to go to the orphanage to check on the children and choose one of the children there to use as another of my experiments.

After walking quite a long way I finally arrived, at a 2-story building with a large yard and many children were playing there. Just as I opened the fence, the children playing in the yard started running towards me with their happy expressions. I squatted down while spreading my arms and smiling.

"Uncle Samuel," the children said enthusiastically.

"Ohh... hello children how are you, did you miss uncle"

"Yes we miss uncle," The children said in unison.

"Hi Samuel, looks like you're quite busy huh?"

I who heard the voice immediately looked forward and there was a woman in silver armor. I who knew her identity began to speak.

"Oh... it's you, Ainsley, what makes a great warrior like you come here?"

"I just came here to see the children, especially Amber," said Ainsley while rubbing the head of Amber who was beside her.

"I see, you've been coming for a while, why didn't you say so? I would have come sooner if you had stopped by" Samuel said as he rubbed the heads of the other children.

"I didn't because I knew you must have been busy lately, now my business is done and I'll be back now"

"Huh... why are you leaving in such a hurry come to my room, let's chat a little longer"

"Alright if it doesn't inconvenience you"

"Of course not, then can we go now"

Ainsley only answered Samuel's question by nodding her head, after which Samuel and Ainsley walked into the orphanage and went to Samuel's private room. After arriving Samuel invited Ainsley to sit on the sofa that had been provided while Samuel prepared hot tea for them. After finishing Samuel came to Ainsley while giving the hot tea to Ainsley. Ainsley happily accepted the tea.

"Thank you, Samuel."

"So you just came here to see how Amber is doing"

"Yes, because I consider Amber as my favorite little sister."

"If you think of her as your little sister why don't you adopt her"

"Hahaha... I can't because I'm too busy, I'm afraid Amber doesn't have friends to play with, while here she has many friends who can make her happy"

"Whatever it is I'm very grateful Samuel"

"Hmm... What are you thanking me for"

"I'm grateful because you want to build an orphanage for abandoned children, I know how it feels when you don't have a home even finding food is very difficult"

For 16 years I was also affected by endless nightmares and regrets, after thinking things through I decided to build this orphanage so that no more children would have the same fate as Julian."

"You are a good person, Samuel, I'm sure Julian will be very happy to have a friend like you," Ainsley said with a smile.

"Oh... yes, I heard that Amber will be adopted by someone soon," Ainsley said.

"Hmm... oh... yes you're right Amber will indeed be adopted by a couple"

"Can I see the documents about them, I know it's rude but I just want to make sure that Amber gets good parents, is that okay Samuel"

"Amber's future parents are Wilson and Beatrice. They have also been married for more than 7 years but they were not blessed with a child at all. After Ainsley left my room. The smile on my face instantly disappeared and was replaced with a flat face. Ainsley was an annoying woman that I should stay away from as much as possible. But when Ainsley had just left my room, suddenly came someone wearing a black robe right behind me.

"What's wrong?"

"Mr. Kenneth gave you a message, he said how the experiment to turn humans into monsters is progressing?"

"For now there is still no progress, but I managed to find a plant that might be the key to my success," I said as I took out the flower I had just picked in the forest.

"Are you sure you'll succeed?"

"Of course, because my ambition is to create an army of the strongest monsters that even a great empire like the Malvyn Empire would collapse to its knees before us."

"Well then, I will immediately convey it to Mr. Kenneth and good luck Samuel we expect a lot from you," said the mysterious man and immediately disappeared from the place.

I just stood facing the window while watching the children playing in the orphanage yard.

"I will not fail," I said with a smile.
