7 Stalker Man Finally Goes Home

Feng Jiao lounged on the bed of her now locked bedroom. She had nothing to do other than sit on her bed, staring at the wall, and cursing her boss for being such a dictator.

Of course, she had stacks and stacks of books, but Feng Jiao had never bought a book that wasn't part of her core compulsory courses.

That meant every book in her room, was a book she had never touched in her life. Textbooks. The bane of her existence. Much like some sort of specialized torture method to get children to crack under pressure.

And the only applying the pressure here was her boss.

It might have seemed like her obvious choice would have been to run away and never look back at her boss, and live the life of a gangster criminal on the run from the law. But that simply wasn't true. Feng Jiao might be punished once she got back, but at least she wouldn't have to sleep under the bridge.

Feng Jiao snuggled under her blankets with a contented purr. She was warm and comfortable unlike some people.

Outside the building, Gao Longwei stood, waiting for the maiden of his dreams, the one fate had tied him to, to arrive. He was usually a pretty sharp witted man, considering he was a CEO, and the CEO of the largest arms trading company in the country at that.

Somehow though, that common sense seemed to have completely evaporated now that he was standing here.

The chilly wind blew through the empty streets, sending a shiver down the backs of the bodyguards and even Gao Longwei's secretary, but Gao Longwei refused to budge. He was there to wait for his mate, and wait for his mate he would.

It was a good thought, but Feng Jiao always entered the building from the back gate, so there was no point waiting there. It was just a monumental waste of time, but there was no way for Gao Longwei to know about that.

He sighed and eventually gave up. It simply wasn't working out for him.

He resolutely decided to show up the next day as well in hopes of spotting his mate. If she didn't show up tomorrow, he would come again the day after tomorrow.

Secretary Lan completely understood going nuts over your mate, but he didn't understand how nuts Gao Longwei had gone. It was simply ridiculous for a cold man like Gao Longwei to be acting like a lovestruck fool after seeing his mate a grand total of one time.

It was certain that they were going to end up together sooner or later, unless one of them died, so that amount of desperation was just sad.

The concept of mates came from perfectly compatible people being tied together by the moon goddess. There was never a situation when someone got along better with a partner that wasn't their mate, that with their mate.

So if they were going to end up together either way, why exactly was he standing outside in the chilling weather, just waiting for either the mate girl or frostbite, whichever came first, lamented secretary Lan.

Gao Longwei didn't feel the same way.

He was a famously cold man. Tempted by none, wanted by all. It was the standard trait of dominant alphas. Except ones that had spiralled into degeneracy of course.

But the ones who spiralled into degeneracy almost always ended up getting themselves killed. Either through their own actions, or the government.

The government couldn't exactly control dominant alphas who had gone rogue, so the only thing they could do was take them out. It was common sense.

What do you do with a dog with rabies who's super big, extremely dominant, and can control large populations of inferior werewolves? Especially ones who want nothing more than to take your government down and send the country into chaos.

You put them down.

Lethal injection, poison, anything to get rid of the big bosses who were uncontrollable.

Gao Longwei's field of work had an incredible amount of crazy people, especially the ones in power. It was basically the job description.

Secretary Lan had thought that he had secured a good job with a responsible boss, but instead his boss turned out to be crazier than the other bosses, just in a less harmful way.

The road was still empty and it was getting dark, so secretary Lan hesitantly walked up to Gao Longwei. His demeanour was obviously nervous, but it was getting late. Secretary Lan's wife would murder him if he were to come back home late and wake her up.

The other option was to not go home at all, but that would make his wife angry too.

As a newlywed couple, and a mated one at that, the two of them were somewhat inseparable. It was the moon goddess's way of saying 'copulate, you dumb werewolves'.

The hormones were just like that.

One sniff of your mate and you had no option but to be their slave for a good amount of time. Your entire lifetime.

That was why Gao Longwei was trying to get his lifetime started as soon as possible, but it just wasn't working. His mate refused to show up, and now Gao Longwei was doubting himself. Were his hormones not strong enough to influence her, the way she had influenced him?

That was impossible. He was a dominant alpha after all.

The petite girl most definitely didn't seem like a dominant alpha who could resist his hormones.

"Sir, I need to go home. Should I drive you back?" secretary Lan mustered up the courage to finally stand up to his dictator like boss who wanted him to work overtime every single day.

The pay was worth it, but the stress wasn't.

Secretary Lan didn't want to be bald by thirty.

Gao Longwei frowned but didn't say anything. He had been standing outside the building for a good eight hours already. It was time to leave.

"Drive me home." he ordered.
