3 School Isn't That Bad, But Can I Please Not Go?

The grenade exploded just as it was meant to in the distance. Disguised as a firework. It was completely unsuspicious and the guards all relaxed around the muscular man.

"For such a muscular man, you sure need a lot of guards." taunted Feng Jiao.

For the first time, the muscular man saw Feng Jiao's face. His sharp eyes instantly seemed to brim with shock as soon as he caught a glance of her. He pushed a guard that was standing in front of him aside, and walked over to Feng Jiao.

"My name is Gao Longwei. What is yours?" he said tenderly, as he squatted in front of her and stuck his hand out. It looked like he wanted to shake her hand so Feng Jiao put her hand in his, but he pulled her up instead.

Feng Jiao looked around in confusion. She hadn't expected tenderness from the frosty, grumpy looking man. Something about it set off her alarm triggers and gave her shivers.

"By any chance?" she said tilting her head. Gao Longwei looked into her eyes and kept staring as he waited for Feng Jiao to finish. The whole process gave her shivers but she sucked it up, "Are you a human trafficker?"

Most dominant alphas were rich considering the power and influence they wielded over lower werewolves and even humans. Just the problem was that they had such adrenaline rushes and mood swings that they often engaged in illegal trading and what not.

Now that Feng Jiao had realized that, she took a closer look at the car, only to realize it was from the B brand. A couple million dollars had been sunken into that black car that she casually smacked.

She thanked the heavens that they hadn't demanded compensation for the little palm shaped dent in the otherwise shiny car. That would most definitely send her into spirals of debt.

"You're a human?" asked Gao Feng curiously. His frosty exterior had suddenly changed to one like a golden retriever, wagging its tail at every word she said.

Humans were relatively rare. It was normal if you assumed natural selection was at play. The strong live, the humans don't. Also werewolves were just so much better at adapting, and stronger to boot. They were like humans with steroids pumped full in them, but without the side effects.

Feng Jiao didn't know whether to answer his question or not. She decided to ignore his question and make a dash for the homeland. School.

She blew her 'mom' a kiss as she ran, crossing the road, "Bye mom! See you after school~" she yelled. It was early morning anyway, so it was completely believable.

Feng Jiao did have to go to school. She was a high school senior. But she was also a slacker. She wasn't going to go to school right in the morning. In her schedule, school was in the evening.

Within seconds Feng Jiao was out of sight. She sprinted to school joyfully, now that she had all her bombs with her. Then she realized that she didn't. The bombs had all scattered over the rough tar road. She didn't have a single one with her.

She walked in through the school gates, her head drooping the entire time. No bombs, going to school early and a scolding waiting for her when she got back.

There were many chances that the day could get any worse but she wasn't going to take any chances. It was done. There was no use pondering about it.

"You're here on time today? What a shock-" laughed the principal, "No ID card but your points are already in the negative. No point deducting anything. Just go to class quick"

Feng Jiao nodded and strolled into the school, hand in her pocket. She unwrapped a lollipop, stuck it in her mouth and stared at the cloudy sky. She kicked the pebbles in front of her as she walked to the classroom.

"Arghh!" she growled, trying to force the negative energy out of her body to no avail.

School was going to be extremely boring as usual.

Back at the crash site, Gao Longwei was still standing there as if he had been one hit by the car instead of Feng Jiao. It was odd how shaken up he looked, but the guards thought he was just contemplating some business strategy or something of that sort.

The minds of geniuses are beyond our comprehension.

However, the only thing Gao Longwei was thinking about was the eyes of that girl he had just seen. They were pitch black like a vortex, and sucked him in just like one too.

The second he saw her, he knew that he was mated to that girl. It was obvious that as a human, she felt none of the connection that he felt toward her, but love could be worked on. All he needed to do was start working on it.

She was his mate after all.

His partner for life and the only one that he would ever be attracted to. It was unfortunate that he didn't know too much about the girl. All he knew was that she was still a teenager, and that she would come back to this location later.

He had two choices.

Have a private investigator come to her and snoop out all her details. Then he could read them from the luxury of his office and make a more sound decision. This was the logical choice for a rich man who was trying to go after a girl.

Wait here like a stalker and probably freak her out. The only positive to this one was that he would get to interact with her. Everything else about this option was creepy and weird and uncomfortable.

So like any fool who had found the one, he decided on option b.

Plan 'wait here and personally be a stalker instead of hiring a stalker'.

Feng Jiao was going to have a heart attack when she came back.
