32 The Aztec People

Denver had told stories of how he managed to survive their escape from their previous home which was the Fang empire all the way to the Mirror valley.

Many times, she had bled through her legs and they had thought that he had died. In fact, Denver, as a mother and a werewolf, could tell that Gray had died inside her. But somehow, when the time for delivery came, she birthed him, her little boy, dark skin like his father, Ironclaw, with an inheritance of the gray eyes of Ironclaw's father.

It was for the reason of his eyes and the gray circumstances surrounding his birth did she named him Gray.

The werewolves were instructed by the hunters to form a straight line.

This was not how it used to be. Normally, the werewolves would just be beaten straight or the hunters mounting the females to extract pleasure from their bodies.

However, this time around, it was different.

It was as if they were being put up for display.

It was at this time that Gray noticed the second thing.

It was a luxurious carriage far off in the distance. This carriage also had a string of slave carriages behind it. Some of them already had different creatures in them. All of whom were either supernaturals or even human slaves.

Beside the slave carriages were thick buff men with long spears. They had an assortment of tattoos on their bodies and rings piecing their brows, ears, nose, and some others, the nipples of their exposed chests.

Some even had the rings joined together by a string of silver chains.

Most of them had thick black moustaches and their skin was tanned a shade of brown and red because of the sun. Aside from the spears in their hands, each of them had long curvy knives by their hips.

One look at them and Gray could tell who, or rather, what they were.

After all, in his time before this life, he had had encounters with these kinds of people. They were known as the Aztecs.

A tribalistic group of people netted tightly by their superior view of their race being higher than other human beings. Although being humans, the Aztecs had their vile fingers in everything.

They trafficked humans, sold their body parts, and even ate them. As long as the person was not from their tribe, they were considered as a fair game.

For a time in his former life, Gray had thought that they were supernaturals and had gone on a killing spree to end them all. He only stopped realizing that they could also use soul energy. And only human beings could use soul energy.

They cultivated a unique kind of soul energy which was translated to the outside world in raw power as a result of the tattoos on their bodies. It was also with these that they increased in their levels.

If human beings were on their menu, it was not surprising to see that supernaturals, as long as they could be either edible or profitable were also on their menu.

They came from beyond the land, through an expanse of water to the east of this place.

Being born for a second time, Gray had not known where he was but with the constant tutor from his mother, Denver, he had learned quite a lot, especially on which continent he now stood.

Of course, he had been around the world, but a lot of things had changed since his former life on earth. After all, there was always one battle like the one he had with the Vampire god that was capable of dividing the earth, drying up waters and even forming new lands.

This continent was called the Flower continent. The reason for this was because of its shape from an aerial view. It was shaped like a flower blooming to the rise of the morning sun.

To the east was the island that belonged to the Aztec people. It was also named after them.

Rumors had it that these people had already succeeded in eliminating all the supernatural beings on their Island.

Gray believed that it was a result of their terrible savagery.

Even now, he could see the different supernaturals in their cages. There was a range of them. Fairies, one eyed Golems, a few Elves, Werecats, etcetera.

All of whom were in a terrible state.

Over there, he could see Andrew and White talking with a fat man with a bow-cut hat and similar exposed skin like the other Aztecs.

By Andrew's side was the Werecat mother and daughter. The two that had tricked his former pack to save them.

They stayed humbly by his side, like obedient dogs.

From time to time, Andrew would pat their heads making them wag their tails in excitement. They were truly his playthings.

Gray remembered that only a night before, while the hunters made camp, and the other werewolves were tired and asleep, he had seen Andrew take the mother and daughter pair into his tent, extracting intense sexual pleasure from the both of them at the same time.

They were both his lap dogs and sex toys.

One of them caught him looking. The younger one. She sneered at him a little. However, Gray did not break eye contact with her.

By means of luck, Rose was able to have escaped, but that did not mean that he had forgiven this Werecat that had hurt his sister. If not for his quick thinking, he might have lost her too.

Gray did not shift his gaze from her. Staring her down fiercely.

It had suddenly become a staring competition and for a brief moment, it seemed like she would rush at him to smack his face.

She sneered at him again and again. However, Gray did not flinch. Instead, his stare only became fiercer.

A web of misery that this Werecat was going to suffer for hurting his family weaved in his mind like the trap a spider laid for an insect.

It was in no time did Andrew, White, and the fat man notice the confrontation between the two.

White wanted to stop the Werecat, but Andrew held him back.

"Let's watch!" he muttered.

There were a few things that constituted a challenge between supernatural creatures that had animal lineage in their blood. Eye contact was one of them.

Unable to take the provocation anymore, she kicked against the ground as she rushed for Gray, her claws and fangs all out with the purpose of slaughter...
