27 Speech to save them all[Bonus chapter]

The Idea that he might lose yet again another person that he loved pushed Gray and he could not help but scream for the Hunter to stop, he would not have it.

After all, Dan had just swatted one of them like a fly, effectively beheading the fellow.

Immediately, Gary's mind worked in over gear, and he seemed to slow the world around him a bit.

This was a martial art technique, his mind, working overdrive as his eyes looked around the place, the objects, and even the people, searching for a solution.

It was not the first time that Gray had ever entered this state. It was one of the many gifts he was capable of when he was a human hunter.

Gray realized that so far, he had been allowing the events to ride him instead of riding the events.

A reason for this was most likely because of his new body being filled with so much pumping of hormones. Then again, he was young. He was only twelve years old, it was not his fault.

However, if he continued like this, he would not be able to help anybody. He had already lost too much. He did not want to lose any more than he already had.

Like a fire unwilling to go out, he wanted to burn in the anger and hunger of his revenge but not now. One of the many skills he had learned over his many years was the ability to control one's impulses and make the best decisions.

Yes! He was a grown man in the body of a child, carrying the memories of many years of experience.

It was time he acted like it.

Controlling his breathing in and out, he finally calmed down. However, unlike Cherry who cried and screamed as she saw the hunter about to behead Dan, Gray turned away from the Hunter to another person.

He looked up the tree at Andrew. And then with a loud voice, he spoke.

"For an Anchor, you are really stupid!"

The moment he said that all the Hunters paused and looked at him. This included White who had now stood up to put on his clothes.

The reason Gray's words had caught all their attention, was because of his use of the lingo 'Anchor'. It was a term coined after boats that old hunters used when exploring the old world.

It was a term usually referring to the leader of a Hunting campaign.

An Anchor held the ship down from floating away.

The term was used to refer to the one that holds the Hunting campaign together.

What surprised everyone was that Gray knew this term. Even the older Werewolves like elder Tam did not know what this was. After all, to them, a Hunter was a Hunter. They were all Hunters.

No one ever cared to know whether any person held any position of value or not. Then again, only the slaughter of their foe had ever been important.

Seeing that he had gotten Andrew's attention, Gray continued.

"It's either you are a stupid Anchor or just plain dumb."

Andrew frowned a bit, "Do you really want to die that badly little one?"

However, unlike what Andrew expected, Gray smirked, "My point exactly. And that is why I said you are a stupid Anchor."

Another Hunter, vexed by Gray's words, stepped forward clamping a fist for a beating. However, Andrew raised a hand to stop him.

"You have my attention boy. Now! Be very careful with your next words or I'll show you how stupid Anchors drink wine from the skull of young Werecubs."

Gray took another breath in, feigning an attitude of not being moved by the obvious threat. This was something that actually surprised Andrew.

It made him look at the young cub in a much brighter light.

"If I am not mistaken, your only reason for not killing us is because you see value in us. I suppose, slavery or even sell us off, and yet, you are so willing to continually kill us just to satisfy your ego." Gray pointed at Ironclaw's corpse.

"That there is a descended of the royal family of the former Fang empire! Do you know what that means?

It means that one carried a Bloodline ability that would have fetched you a lot of money, especially with Soul Mages."

The moment Gray said this, there was already a low murmur amongst the Hunters, their greed was evident in their eyes. Seeing that it was working, he decided to push even further.

"It is bad enough that you have already lost such precious cargo. But yet again, you want to lose two more!?" He pointed to Rose and Dan.

"Yes, these two are his descendants. I am sure from the Bloodline ability Berserker that was just shown, you know this is true. instead of you to find a way to secure a good paycheck or even some social recognition for capturing such rare bloodlines, you rather squander them because of your foolish ego. Do you see why I said that you are a stupid Anchor!?"

The murmuring between the Hunters became louder and even the hunter that had intended to slaughter Dan stopped, dropping the machete in his hand.

The idea that he was about to be the reason for such a significant loss of gain was scary to him.

Andrew came down from the tree he was resting on and walked forward a bit. He looked over Dan's wounded body, and then back at Gray.

A hunter immediately stepped forward as he whispered some words into his ears. "My lord, If what the boy says is true, then it means that we will definitely get the favor of the king if you arrive with such a fine specimen for his collection."

Andrew nodded. He walked towards Gray and then he squatted a little, "Not a bad speech boy! What's your name!?"

"Gray... Gray Ironclaw!" Gray answered.

Andrew chuckled a bit, "what a coincidence. I also bear a similar name."

Gray did not understand what Andrew meant but the Hunter behind stepped forward, "You are in the presence of Prince Andrew Gray Waterfell.

The grand son of the Grand Duke of the Stone Bones, Gray Waterfell, Who was the Slayer of Unnaturals, Eraser of the Unforgiven world, and Titled messiah of the New Order."

Instantly, Gray froze...."My grandchild?"
