10 The Confrontation
"I'm going to tell her the truth."
"Zeph, are you sure? I was alright with you dating her but this is a big deal. Her family is of hunters."
"That's one of the main reason why I have to tell her myself. His father is alright, but her family is filled with Psychopathic killers like her aunt and grandfather. I have to tell her before they poison her mind."
"alright, I'm gonna trust you but please be careful. I can't loose you too. not after you father."
Hearing this he hugged her and said "don't worry mom, I'll be careful."
"but how are you gonna tell her? It's not like you can just go over and say 'hi allsion I'm a supernatural creature and you are from a family of hunters who kill supernatural creatures."
"I haven't decided yet but I'll figure it out." he lied. he had already decided that the best chance to tell her would be after the night school incident where peter traps the gang in the school. and that was tonight. he had already invited allison, jackson and lydia for a group study at school. he couldn't just allison because then that would raise the question of why couldn't they just study at his or her place.
*at night in school
Zephyr was sitting in the library with Allison, lydia and jackson when the school PA system turned on and then a voice came that sounded liked a cat being choked to death. everyone looked around in confusion while Zephyr thought 'and so it begins...'. then suddenly a terrifying roar came from the speaker which made everyone jump out of their seats.
"what the hell was that?" lydia asked while panicking
"it sounded like a roar." jackson said
"more of a howl." zephyr replied and then added "but that doesn't matter i think we should get out of here."
and they got out of the library and just when they started walking towards the main door they bumped into scott and stiles.
"what the hell are you guys doing here?" lydia asked
"was is you who played some kind of recording in the PA system?" jackson asked
"not it wasn't us, we don't have the time to talk. we have to have. its right after us."
"whats right after you?" lydia asked
"like I said, not now, lets go."
and just like that in the canon they reached the cafeteria but couldn't stay there because of the windows and ended up in the chemistry classroom. Zephyr grabbed both Scott and Stiles by the neck and took them away from the others.
"whats happening?" he asked them
"its the alpha. its here"
"And that wouldn't have anything to do with you howling in the speaker, right scott?"
"all right, in the hindsight, it was not a very good plan." said stiles
"where's derek?"
"dead, probably. he got impaled by alpha's claws and then flung about 20 feet in the air."
"no that won't be enough to kill him. all right listen, tell them that it was some guy in a mask who's chasing us and that he did all the murders and also murdered the janitor."
"how do you know about the janitor?"
"i can smell the blood."
and just like in the canon, they told them that it wasn't a mountain lion who killed everyone but some crazy guy, only this time they didn't name derek.
"Alright we can have to get the key to that door, then we'll get to the fire escape and run away to the station." Zephyr said "me and scott will go and get the keys, you guys stay here. lydia, you keep trying the 911."
"No! you can't go out there. please, don't go!" allison cried
"allison, i have to, don't worry, I'll be safe."
"You don't know that! and i feel like you guys lying to me about this whole thing. first my family and now you too, please tell me the truth!"
He took allison by her arms and led her away from everyone.
"After all of this is over, I'll tell you the truth. about everything I know. I just hope you don't hate me afterwards because I... I love you." this was the first time he had said that to her and allsion was a little surprised by the sudden revelation.
"you don't have to say it back, i jus-" he tried to hastily explain but was stopped as allison put her lips on his.
"No matter what happens, i could never hate you. because i love you too." she said
they just stared at each other, until scott cleared his throat. and then scott and Zephyr set out to find the keys. they were about to reach the gym where the janitor's body was hanging under the bleachers. Zephyr stopped scott.
"the body is under the bleachers. you get the keys. I'll see how alpha reacts, maybe i could get something that should reveal his true identity."
"but what if he attacks?"
"if it gets dangerous then I'll step in."
"all right." scott said and went to retrieve the keys. Zephyr watched as alpha appeared and started closing the bleachers. Zephyr took out his phone and started taking pictures. he was going to use these pictures to introduce allison to the supernatural world. he would first show her these pictures and when she accepted the idea of supernaturals he would tell her his identity.
Zephyr watched as scott came out of the bleachers and he and the alpha started fighting. Zephyr continued taking photos while scott was getting his ass beat up and down the room. finally alpha roared at scott and he started to shift.
Zeph took a few pictures of transformed scott and then put his phone away. he started tranforming into his bipedal beast form. while he could defeat peter in his normal enhanced form he didn't want peter to know his identity. he stepped into the gym looking like a bipedal white tiger on steroids.
Scott now in peter's control saw him and ran towards him, he tried to slash him but Zephyr caught his hand. he swung Scott around and threw him at the wall. he came crashing down and crumpled, completely knocked out.
Peter saw this and ran towards Zephyr trying stab him with his claws but zephyr ducked and weaved right in front of peter and gave him an uppercut that lifted him off the floor before he came crashing down. the only thing more dangerous that a bipedal tiger was a bipedal tiger that knew boxing.
peter stood up and started a furry of strikes that Zephyr dodged with ease before he placed the claws of both of his hands on his chest and slashed down. peter roared in pain before retreating. Zephyr was about to go to him when he heard a groan. he turned and looked that scoot was getting conciousness. he turned to look at peter again to see that he already escaped. he could give chase but he didn't really want to. he walked back to scott and transformed back to his human form. he gave scoot a nudge a few times but he didn't wake up, so finally he gave scott a crisp slap with got him back to his senses.
"huh? what happened?"
"I'll tell you on the way back."
they made their way back to the chemistry classroom. meanwhile, Zephyr could hear the sirens approaching.
