Consequences

After the incident with Allison, Scott disappeared after the school ended. No one saw him anywhere Stiles was searching for him and came to ask Zephyr. He told Stiles what happened between them and Stiles actually apologized on Scott's behalf. This was what he liked about Stiles, he maybe sarcastic like ninety percent of the time but he was a genuinely good guy.

2 days passed and Scott still didn't return. about this time everyone was getting worried.

Meanwhile, in a clearing deep in the woods, Scott was pacing around, fury all over his face.

"It's all his fault! He showed up and took Allison, who should've been mine. He took the place as the best player on the team. everything was ruined because of him and now he's humiliating me in front of Allison. Just you wait, Zephyr. I'll get back at you for it!" While he was talking to himself, his anger was increasing by leaps and bounds at every passing moment. and before he knew it he lost all control and started to shift. He left the the clearing and started running towards a particular direction.

Zephyr was at his home, doing his homework. Even though he knew everything that was taught he still had to write his assignments, which didn't really take much time. He was also kind of worried about Scott's disappearance. It was less about his disappearance but more about how it would affect the canon. Although he had plans to disrupt the canon, it was too early for that right now. He had to get some information and move some pieces in place before he could truly do that.

He was also unsure about whether he could actually make major changes, Although his presence caused some minor changes they were rectified as if something was controlling how everything went, like because he got with Allison, Scott found Amelia. All the things that happened in Scott and Allison's relationship were happening exactly the same with Amelia. He was just thinking about that, when he saw a familiar scent approaching. He let out a sigh of relief thinking 'well, at least the idiot's back.'

But his relief suddenly vanished from his face when he sensed where Scott was actually going. His face twisted in anger.

On the other hand, Scott was approaching Allison's house at a high speed. He climbed up, and stopped at her roof. The place he chose had a clear view of her room. She was walking around the room, adjusting things. Scott slowly approached the window as Allison got close to it, She closed the blinds and at that moment Scott saw his face and stopped in his tracks in fear.

Although he was shocked at what he was about to do, the shock was largely overshadowed by a primal fear and despair when he saw the a figure behind him with a cold purple glint in its eyes. He didn't even have a chance to turn around before the figure grasped him by the neck and ran towards the preserve.

The figure came at stop deep in the preserve and threw Scott. he Crashed into a tree and fell to the ground. When he looked up and saw Zephyr and he looked like wrath incarnate. He waited until Scott got up and then spoke in a chilling voice.

"you know what Scott, I think apologies are in order."

"I- I'm-"

"hahahaha, I think you misunderstood me Scott, I think I should apologize." hearing this Scott was confused. He thought Zephyr wanted an apology from him and he was extremely relieved that he was about to be spared.

"I'm sorry because it looks like I didn't make it clear to you about what would happen if you put allison in danger, so let me tell you."

"please I-"

*SMACK!

Before Scott could say anything, Zephyr appeared before Scott and slapped him so hard that his jaw broke.

"I'b thorry-" Scott tried to speak with a broken jaw but but before he could completed anything he could say anything-

*POW!

Zephyr kicked him straight in the chest breaking his ribs and sending him flying. Blood came gushing out of Scott's mouth as he landed. It looked like some of the ribs pierced one of the lungs.

Zephyr arrived in front Scott and held out his hand. Scott thought that it was over and took his hand but-

*CRACK!!!

Zephyr took his hand with both of his hands and broke it. And then he broke it in five different places in quick succession.

"Ahhhh!!!" Scott screamed in agony and fainted.

"Don't pass out on me yet. We're just getting started." Zephyr said kicking Scott in the stomach jolting him awake.

By the time Zephyr was done Scott's hand and leg bones were basically crushed powder. His ribs, backbone and jaw were also broken in places.

Zephyr looked at Scott lying in a puddle of his own blood, every breath was a struggle for him. Zephyr took out a white handkerchief and started to clean his hands and face of the blood that splattered on him when he was pummeling Scott.

"I guess your mother as an anchor isn't working out great for you. I think its about time to change your anchor. I think your new anchor should be fear. Because the next time you lose control, this won't end with me just beating you. Be afraid Scott, be very afraid about what I would do if you lost control again and tried harming those I care about." Zephyr said while pressing his claw on Scott's throat.

"Now, just stay here for the rest of the night and heal. go home tomorrow and cook up some bullshit story about why you were missing for two days." And with that he left.

*Some days later

It was the day of the full moon and tensions were running high. Scott was becoming more and more unstable and it was obvious that he would lose control tonight. but even then he remembered that night and didn't even look towards Allison. after school ended Zephyr met up with with Stiles.

"Hey, you want my help today? you know, with the full moon and all."

"No, I appreciate the offer but I got it, I also have to talk to him about some things," Stiles said in a low voice. It looked like he wasn't too excited about it.

"Alright. but call me or Derek if something happens." And with that, he left to meet up with Allison.

He saw her by the lockers and silently sneaked up to her. He wrapped his hands around her waist and put his head on her shoulder. He didn't know what it was, but being with her, the feeling of her body in his arms just always filled him with comfort. He didn't know if it was her soft lips, sweet smell or beautiful smile but something about her filled him with indescribable happiness.

"Hi." he said softly.

"What's got you smiling like that." Allison asked with a chuckle.

"Who else but you?" He turned his head and then softly bit Allison's earlobe with his lips and ran them along the length of the ear.

Allison let out a sharp exhale almost melting in Zephyr's body before she remembered where they were and composed herself. She cleared her throat and changed the topic.

"So what are we doing today? Martial arts training in the clearing?"

"No, not today. It's not safe."

"Oh yeah, I forgot about the full moon."

Zephyr was worried about Allison, especially after the incident with Scott. Even though the urge to kill Scott was strong, he knew he couldn't and shouldn't do that.

"How about you stay at my place tonight?"

"That's a tempting offer and I mean really tempting," she said with a mischievous smile. "but if I do that I'll be grounded till I graduate."

"And I'll be fine at home, I'm pretty sure no werewolf would be stupid enough to break into Hunter's home."

"I don't know about that, some of them are pretty dumb."

"Let's just study at your place tonight."

"Just study?" Zephyr asked, the meaning of his words apparent by his suggestive grin.

"Hmmm~ maybe something more. Something like..." Allison didn't finish her words and just left with a smile.

"So you're just going to leave me hanging?" He called out.

"yep." She said and left.

"You're a cruel, cruel woman." He whispered with an amused expression.

*Later at Zephyr's house

Zephyr and Allison were on the bed, cuddling with Allison panting slightly after their 'Exercise'.

Zephyr passed his hand through her bare back, causing her to shiver. the hand came to stop at her brown hair and he started twirling them with his fingers.

"Don't you feel it? the full moon, I mean." Allison asked. She had seen Scott throughout the week and it was like he was a different person. Getting frustrated at the slightest inconvenience and starting fights for no reason. Zephyr, on the other hand, was just like his name. A soft and Gentle breeze that brought about a sense of comfort and security. The only time she had ever seen him angry was when Scott attacked her.

"I do feel it, just not to the same extent as other as other shapeshifters. Weretigers' struggle is usually more about controlling your emotions. And considering how ferocious normal tigers in the wild are, you can guess that it isn't an easy task. Many weretigers struggle with anger issues.

"That's surprising, considering that I've basically never seen you angry."

"Well, I'm a rex. we have better control over ourselves than normal weretigers. And trust me when I say, that even after I became a rex it was extremely hard to get my emotions. completely under control. It took a lot of training and meditation to get in control and find my anchor."

"What's an anchor?"

"It can be anything, a person, a memory, a feeling or even yourselves. It's something that gives your human side control. Something you can attach yourselves to."

"What did you choose?"

Zephyr hesitated a bit and then said "It used to be my father." The heaviness in his voice was evident.

Allison immediately regretted asking the question, "I'm so sorry, I shouldn't have asked."

"It's Okay. anyway, after my father died, I also lost my anchor and my emotions started overwhelming me. I started distancing myself from everyone and everything. I did something that I still regret and I would have gone off the deep end, if my mom didn't snap me out of my frenzy. After that, I chose my new anchor as myself. I vowed to be my own strength, as my father's only descendant and the only rex on the two American continents."

After hearing the story, Allison felt really complicated. She was sorry that Zephyr had to go through all that, she was proud that he got through it and became stronger than ever. She was also a little amazed about how unique her boyfriend was, being the only rex on the two continents.

"I know it's a bit much."

"Yeah... I mean no! umm..." Allison replied absentmindedly and then realized what she said.

"I know it may not mean much but, I promise I'll be with you. No matter what happened in the past or what happens in the future, I'll be here."

Zephyr's eyes started getting moist after hearing this. Allison didn't even know what he did but she still didn't push him. The simple promise of unconditional support was enough for Zephyr to shed some tears.

"It means much more than you know." he said with a heavy voice.

Allison wiped the tears off his face and kissed him.

"How about I stay here tonight?"

"what about being grounded till you graduate high school?"

"I'll make some excuse." She said and huddled even closer to him. with her head on his chest and her legs over his.

The two lovers said laid in comfortable silence looking at the beautiful moon until they fell asleep in each other's arms.
