Time Flies... I Can't... At Least Not Yet

'After my run-in with Dumbledore, everything's progressed quite smoothly for Aurora and I. After a couple of weeks of the first-year curriculum, I approached Dumbledore again taking him up on his offer to speak with the other teachers. After giving him a rundown of what I'd learned ahead so far, the other teachers started to give me more challenging work to do.'

'Other than class, I've spent most of my time either in the library downloading knowledge into my digital storage or practicing magical applications in the Room of Requirement. Speaking of the room... After realizing I'm not yet equipped to fix it, I decided to take the Vanishing Cabinet home over the winter holidays to see if Father can help me to repair it. I had already asked Kreacher to pick up the one from Knockturn Alley and put it in my room at the manor. After the final repairs, there will be no more stumbling throughout the castle for me! I'll have free access to the RoR, whether I'm at Hogwarts or not.'

'The only real bump in the road that we weren't expecting, unfortunately, had to do with my most important personal goal, the acquisition of knowledge. One thing that all those damn fan-fictions got wrong was the availability of book scanning spells. And by availability I mean zero availability, as in they don't exist! We've got a handful of helpful magics like charms to facilitate a conducive learning environment and potions to help with concentration and comprehension. There are even spells to duplicate and read books aloud... just no book scanning.'

'With this, I either need to read each and every book for Aurora to download from my memory or design some type of book scanner and digitizer. Aurora estimates that even with a more automated process, it will be around sixth-year before we are finished robbing the school of all of its knowledge.'

'With the addition of the RoR, spell practice has officially moved out of the Violet Jade Immortal Realm and into the castle. Access to real target practice is something I didn't even know I was missing. With this, I've started to work on my spells using the energy movement diagrams that Aurora has been creating. Although in the beginning it was tremendously more difficult than ordinary silent and gestureless casting, the benefits were immediate. After successfully casting the levitation charm using only internal energy movement, it became very noticeable that my energy was becoming easier and easier to move. After a planning session with Aurora, a new goal was set up to complete the spells from year one through three using only internal movement by the time of final exams.'

'Another goal from that session was the practice and perfection of my lost magic, Arc of Embodiment. Although AoE can operate as a basic creation skill such as the one used by Kami in Dragon Ball Z, that is really just the tip of the iceberg. The reason Arc of Embodiment is so broken is that it allows for the instantaneous creation of magical artifacts. Great right!? It's almost perfect, aside from it's two major glaring flaws, knowledge and mana consumption.'

'The ability to create something from your imagination should seem like a major advantage, which it is. But without proper knowledge of the item and how it works will limit the efficiency of the item itself. Without knowing how fire is created, a magic flamethrower won't be as hot or mana efficient as it could be with proper knowledge.'

'On the flip side is the mana consumption needed for certain items. The size, complexity, and knowledge about an item's composition determines the amount of mana needed to create it. This is especially true for magical artifacts. It is much easier to create something in pieces and put it together than create it as a finished product. While creating an item, if you don't have the necessary mana to complete it, the process is stopped and item destroyed.'

'The practice of this ability will be crucial especially in worlds where modern technology is non-existent. Through practice we can make energy use for magical and non-magical items more efficient and increase the speed of creating complex items.'

'As soon as the break is over I'm going to start creating some magical items I remember from stories in my previous life. I may even be able to create a scouter like in DBZ! It's over nine thousand!!!!'

At this, Lucien stopped his monologuing and turned off his pockets video recording function. It was time to finish packing up his belongings and head downstairs for breakfast before leaving on the train.

"Kreacher!"

Kreacher bows and asks, "How can I be helping you Master Lucien?"

"Can you please help me pack up my belongings and bring my trunk to the manor? I have everything I need for the ride in my moleskin pouch, there's no need to bring it on the train," replies Lucien.

"Of course Master Lucien, I will finishing packing and bring it now," he says performing some elf magic to tidy up the room before leaving in a loud pop.

'Perfect,' thinks Lucien as he finishes getting dressed in his casual clothes.

Meeting up with some of the other first years in the common room, the young ravens start walking to the Great Hall for their last meal before the holidays.

While everyone had thoughts of seeing their family and the melancholy of leaving their friends, there was only one thought going through Lucien's mind.

'I wonder how much bacon I can sneak for the train ride before the elves cut me off again...?'
