New Friends, New Family

Tae Hui began to laugh at my surprised expression, "What are you...?" was all I could muster, "Making sure you're okay." he smiled he realized an explanation was needed as confusion began to creep over my face. "You have been with us for a year now, that makes you family and we don't abandon family when they are in need." he answered in a gentle tone, "We don't care what you are, because you have shown us who you really are and that is the people we want to protect and keep forever." he said as he walked over from the other side of the bed and sat next to me. Tae-Hui held my hands when he sat down after explaining himself, I smiled at him, part of me knew that this was going to be dangerous for them but they decided to stick it out with us. There was a knock on my bedroom door Tae-Hui got up with me and we both walked to the door, the door slowly swung open as the wolf laid motionless on the rug on the floor. "What a guard, at least move a little." I chided the wolf as he just raised and eyebrow, "He's a good boy." Tae-Hui said as he scratched the wolf's head. I just shook my head as I turned to look at Joo-won who walked into the bedroom.

Joo-won strode up to me and looked straight at me, "I'm here to tell you that running away is cowardly and us humans aren't cowards. If you all are that powerful then why are you running away like frightened little children. Teach us how to fight this battle and we will fight with you. You are like family to us and we don't abandon family, therefore we are all in this together." Joo-won stated as he continued looking at me straight in the eyes, "Really Joo-won was there no better way to say that without sounding..." Tae-Hui began, "It's okay Tae-Hui." I interrupted him, "Joo-won have a point to make." I said not breaking eye contact with Joo-won, "You think this is easy don't you?" I asked walking up to him, "Training with us isn't a game it can get dangerous, it can test your mettle, break you down and show you what you and your friends are really made of." Joo-won never looked away or flinched as I told him all of this, he instead looked more determined, "Are you ready for this?" I questioned as I finished, Tae-Hui walked over to where we stood looking at Joo-won.

Joo-won simply replied "I'm ready tell me what I have to do." not a hint of fear in his voice, I smiled and walked past him through the door and down the stairs and into the kitchen. "We begin training tomorrow with the humans." I announced, "HELL FUCKING NO!" someone stated in firm authoritative voice and that was when I noticed Simone and Stephen amongst the others in the kitchen. Kaylee stood up "I called Simone I thought she might be able to help." Kaylee stated not looking me in the eyes. "Stephen came over when Simone informed him of the problem." Nikki added. Stephen and Simone walked up to me, Simone hugged me tightly, "You are in serious danger." she said still holding me, we both then walked over to the sitting room, "Ace and Hades have been looking for you, they want you dead or alive." she explained looking me in the eyes, "They were abducting everyone who you are still friends with and are using the Greenly sisters to extract information on you from their memories and then killing them. Many of your friends have gone into hiding for fear of betrayal and death." she continued. I sat on the sofa with my head in my hands.

Ace and Hades both want my hand in marriage or my death either way they would get my family's legacy and name, "I will stay with you Remi, my magic is yours when you need it." Simone said as she smiled at me. "This house is now known and I need help in protecting my siblings and the humans." I answered her "Stephen and I are here to help however we can." she responded, "My brother and I will see to the humans safety so that Kaylee and Nikki can do what they need to." Simone finished, she then pulled out her phone and began making calls Nikki and Kaylee are very good at using their magic for subterfuge and trickery so they began to work on cloaking the house, creating an image that won't raise suspicion in the humans that pass everyday and for the supernatural beings that pass the house, they will not notice the house. Hades, Ace and the others that were in the house if they ever returned all their memory of the owner of the house as well as the people who live in it or the attack they staged on the house. Only the people in the house supernatural and human will continue to see the house and everything in it as it has always been.

My mind was still racing with all this information, the humans considering us as family I couldn't believe how close we had become over the year we spent together. Tae-Hui said that we are their family now not just their friends, maybe I haven't actually failed completely there may be hope for my siblings and I now, maybe we might just survive this. Tyler walked back in through the front door and the large gray wolf strode out the door past him, as I walked out of the sitting room I looked around and could see everyone was lounging around the house back into their everyday routine as if the events of last night never happened. Simone walked with me back into the kitchen where I was greet by Sang in the midst of cooking breakfast with Joo-won assisting while Kaylee, Jung-Hwa, Tae-Hui and Nikki were talking. They were asking Kaylee and Nikki questions about everything in an attempt to understand our world, "I called Stephen because I thought he could be helpful." Simone stated as she stood next to me, "We can discuss what our next move is." she announced and everyone looked up at her.
