Meeting new friends

I was in the kitchen cooking and singing, while I listened to Khalid's 'Bad Luck' on the stereo, halfway through cooking the front doors openned and all I heard was footsteps running up the stairs. "No running in the house." I shouted, "Need help?", I jumped at the sound of the voice "Tyler I didn't hear you enter, I thought it was just the kids." he laughed, "Nikki and I just came home with the kids." he said with a smile as he grabbed a knife to help. "Jadenne came home with some friends." Nikki said as she walked into the kitchen, I stopped what I was doing and looked at her and Tyler, they just smiled and motioned to the living room with their heads. I placed the knife that was in my hands down and walked into the living room and there was Jadenne with three other boys. "Ahem!" I cleared my throat to be noticed, the three boys looked over and smiled, while waving and saying hello. Jadenne never looked up from the television and just flatly stated, "Hey sis, I brought some friends home.", I am going to kill this little motherfucker, is he serious right now I thought. The three boys just looked at Jadenne and then at me, "Hi." one of them started, "My name is Choi Young-soo, this is Ahn Cho and that is Han Dae-Hyun. We all have the same classes as Jadenne." he politely responded. I can hear Tyler and Nikki chuckling in the kitchen, they think this is funny.

Instantly there were footsteps coming down the staircase, Mimi and Galaxy were dressed up, "Where are you young girls going?" I asked, "No where." Galaxy answered, "We always dress like this Remi, stop being silly." Mimi added with a smile. My eyes widened, is that make-up they're wearing? Tyler is now outright laughing loudly and Nikki walks out of the kitchen in tears from how much she is laughing with Tyler, "Come back in the kitchen Remi let the kids be, better here than out there." she says to me through bouts of laughter. My siblings have gone mad in one day, as I was walking back into the kitchen with Nikki, the door bell rang, I walked over to the door anticipating almost anything. I sense the twins and Jadenne tense as they looked up, a voice then shouted, "Open up I don't bite, unless you want me to." and the person laughed loudly, I closed my eyes "No, why me" I muttered. I openned the door, shaking my head, "Kaylee," I smiled, "Hey bitch missed me?" she said pulling me into a hug, Kaylee is one of the few sorceress's besides her mother and Nikki, whose powers were so strong, that it earned her a seat on the Council of Witches and Warlocks since she was fifteen. So when her mom steps down, she gets her mom's seat.

"What are you doing here?" I smiled at her, "Well I got a call and when I heard the situation, I knew my best friend needed me." she stated as she walked past me. Kaylee and I went to College together in New York until the Council and duty called us back to out respective families, but we kept in touch. As Kaylee walked in she turned to the kids in the living room, "Ooh company." she purred, "Hey Mimi, Galaxy, Jade." she said as she smiled and lowered her voice, strolling into the kitchen as she winked at Jadenne. She squealed and jumped onto Tyler's back while screaming Nikki's name, "The gang is back in action." she giggled out while Tyler groaned trying to throw her off his back and Nikki shook her head. Finally dinner was done, with no help from Kaylee, Tyler went to the living room and announced that dinner was ready, it was already six in the afternoon. Young-soo's phone rang as they were heading into the kitchen, "Ms. Kwon my brother asked if he can come over to pick us up." he said as he points to the other two boys, "Sure." I said "But call me Remi." I added. "Thanks Remi, he said he will be over in an hour." he finished.

Everyone grabbed a plate and left the kitchen, Dan ran back upstairs as he was playing fortnite on his desktop. Jadenne, Dae-Hyun, Cho, Young-soo and the twins went back to the living room so Nikki, Kaylee, Tyler and I sat in the kitchen. "So tell me what exactly is happening?" Kaylee asked becoming serious, "How stupid can Ace and his lackeys be?" she continued, "Very brain-dead apparently as they think they can kill me." I answered as I sighed. "Well firstly Tyler, I have a house two houses down from here so you can stay there and stop overcrowding Nikki's house." Kaylee said looking at Tyler, who turned to her pouted and stuck his tongue out at her, I just laughed. "Secondly I will help Nikki enchant her house, for the safety of all of you." she continued. Nikki already had her housed cloaked to supernatural beings that aren't family or friends, but as I was already promised and joined through a spell at birth to Ace Clarke as is Council custom. A stronger enchantment was needed to keep everyone protected, in case the house was ever detected. "And lastly training starts this weekend, all of you have been slacking off a lot." she ended. "Especially you Nikki, trying to settle into a normal human life and becoming lazy." she added with a smile, Kaylee's training is always a killer, we all groaned at this thought.
