Chapter 2-A new page

"Hey soldier!,another mission just came on.Are you in or out?".He heard a cracking sound of a device before he received a message from a voice coming from his portable communicator. A small device that could fit into his pocket.

"Definitely!".Leo responded as he threw the device back on his bed.

He was already at his home practicing on a punching which was conveniently hanged in his bedroom as he still could not get over his father's voice playing on repeat in his head.So maybe punching this might relieve at least some stress.

'Even weaklings still have some dignity'.

He calms down and sat on his bed, wiping the excessive sweats that enveloped his body then grabs a book that was also lying beside his portable communicator on the bed.

This was the same book he was quickly able to pick from the house that had exploded , as evidence of an arson against his targets but some thing about it had piqued his very interest, from the cover to the very contents.

--OBSCURITY OF A DRAGON'S BREATH

This was the title of the book.

His head hurt all the way.

He had been up all night since the day he found the book to try to search other sources for what the book was about, because apart from the words on the book-cover written in English, the main contents was pretty much unreadable .The language was made up of signs and symbols of unknown backgrounds .All of his searches were to nothing and this led to him venting all of his frustrations on the poor punching bag.

He was trying to crack it once more today and if not successful again, might resume to his violent meeting with his punching bag.

When he opened the book again it was pretty much like a normal book with table of contents and sh***,however, this was not what he was really after.

He adjusts his position very well and sat cross legged on the bed to pay full attention.

---prologue chapter.....Rules to follow to read on.

This was largely written on the very first page.He had wondered how he was able to miss something as obvious as this, though he could not really be angry at himself for long as he really hated books to begin with,so the first thing he does when he gets a new book is to open to the middle page and if it contained no colorful pictures of any sought,he instantly discards them and horribly, this book was not any different.

'Rule one...Player must practice a chapter each a day ,of the book's content.

Rule two....quests are top priority and must be finished before another chapter can begin.

...and finally,rule three'

He unknowingly started to speak as he read the written words on the page of the mysterious book out loud in surprise.

---Rule three...Must incinerate ten beasts each day as deserts to satisfy the lords hunger.....

He continued to read on with a wild smile that crept on his face.Although this time, not a smile of surprise anymore but a smile of encouragement for the child whose fantasies were so bright, he was able to write these words and make a book by himself.of course, who else but a child would have the time to write something like this and create a book again for it.

"Hah....what can defeat a child's fantasy!.He laughed inside remembering how in the past he had never won his siblings in any make believe games, however again, the next words written below these seemingly childish rules caught his attention.

-Ability granting procedures.Proceed at your own risk

He blinked properly and began to imagine the horrible childhood the child that might have written all of this must have had.

'Well,I guess...its too dangero....'

-hmm....Sicke!!

Hehe

He smiled hard strangely satisfied at his horrible sense of humour and instantly turned to the next page after the table of contents without any hesitation.

Even if it was a frog that came to him saying that he could give him an ability,he would speedily take his chances. There was no harm in doing this right!.

Abilities are widely accepted as an elite related characteristic all over the land, and so without having an ability, he had been stuck as a regular soldier for two years now while the ones with abilities get promoted as a superior soldier.

He had spent many time as a regular to easily recognize the crazy height difference between ability holders and common people and could not help it but keep remembering sad sh*** as he felt how desperately helpless he actually was.

'Lesson one...Fire force push'.

These words emitted bright light that shined in the book as he read along.

Immediately,little sprinkles of glowing dust

started coming out from the book and radiated around him for sometime before they finally all joined, forming into one small jewel and speedily entered into his already dropped jaws ,finding its way into the young man's body

The surprise caught on to him again. He had heard of scholars at big academies learning alchemy and other sought of magic to supplement for their lack of dragon affinity, but these books where never brought outside the school grounds and remained a secret. However ,before he started to consider that some one around the neighbour hood attended one of these schools,he quickly dismissed the idea after remembering how poor the people of the town were the house he had found the book were.

These schools were brutally expensive and since he had angrily left home, being 'broke as f***' could not entirely measure how horrible his plummeted financial status is.

He even started to wonder why the enemy would consider a town like this as a target.

*sigh*

He gives a moment of silence for this.

"b-but,how is this possible!".He struggled not to hastily jump into conclusions, but for somebody who had never had an affinity since when he was born, something as little as glowing sh*** entering into his mouth with no physical touch, made his excitement erupt.

"What the ****"

He adjusts his position again and sat down more comfortably to fully process all that had happened.

Leo looked around him in astonishment as even though the dust had all seemingly entered his mouth he could still find some pieces of it still lingering all around his body, clinging into his bare skin like an organic magnet.

"OK,this does not feel that bad".he could neither smile nor frown .How can one react appropriately to this kind of situation,he could only think as he immediately stood up and got on the floor to start to copy the actions of the pictures that began to appear slowly in the book.

-Follow the procedures to produce.....

"No,no,no,no!".Leo's eyes subconsciously started to read the words under the pictures that appeared but he snapped himself back.He had said it himself. He hated reading and wanted to see what was going to happen through his own naked eyes.

"Hips apart, partial twist sideways, hands in a fist form".All of these led him to a squatting position with both his hands placed closely at his sides with each holding a clenched fist.

'Could this actually be real!'.He pondered for a second before quickly trashing that thought right down the drain and performed the last bit of action drawn on the book.

--push fist violently forward!!

These words glowed brighter as if in itself it felt anticipation for what was going to happen .

*boom*

He carried out the actions perfectly and instantly,he could see fire in circular form that came out from his palm and exploded into the wall of the room he was, however, the force was too strong and he himself was also propelled harshly in the opposite direction.
