11 Riley Takes Command

Riley and the others waited in the room but it didn't take long before danger approached.

Riley who was still hugging Kai pulled the boy even closer and whispered in his ear, "enemies are approaching."

Niklaus and Lincoln also sensed the demons up ahead.

"I guess it's time to fight" Niklaus said.

"No not yet, Niklaus. The thing is they couldn't have known we would be here and I doubt they sensed us from wherever their prison was. Which begs the question of what their reason for coming here is" Riley said.

"What would you have us do young master?" Lincoln asked.

"Let's hide our presence for now and lay in wait. Lincoln you will remain here to greet our guests, find out why they came" Riley said.

"As you wish" Lincoln replied.

Masking their presence and hiding in the bathroom was easy enough. Now they just needed to watch how things would play out.

Not long after a group of six demons arrived. Lincoln wasted no time as he showed himself and asked.

"Who are you and why have you come here?"

The demons all looked at Lincoln surprised, "isn't he supposed to be asleep?" One of them asked.

"We mean you no harm, we came here on orders to wake you up" the demon which looked to be the leader of the group said showing a purple liquid in a small transparent bottle, it was a potion.

"However, it seems this potion was not needed at all. I expect nothing less from the ill fated demon who was tortured by his own family but then soon destroyed that entire family along with the village. You made a bloodbath and stood atop the corpse like a true demon" said the leader with admiration.

"What is your business with me?" Lincoln said with no emotion on his face or in his voice.

"Our master wishes for you to join him and rule by his side as one of his commanders in the army of strong prisoners he released to destroy the demon school DarkFall and take the demon lords Vincent and Darien captive" the demon said approaching Lincoln.

When Riley awoke from his unconscious state he could then feel the now completed blood contract he made with Lincoln. Every thought and every emotion was connecting the two demons by a bond that would never break.

Riley could tell Lincoln wanted to kill the group of demons but was holding himself back.

'Lincoln thank you, no need to hold back anymore I'm sorry' Riley said through the shared mind link.

'Master I should be the one apologizing. I was called the ill fated demon because I was the only demon born with no demon wings or horns and I also possessed blood control, an ability that was shunned in my family and because of that I was treated unfairly and tortured by my own parents and siblings. I withheld such information from you, I should be punished' Lincoln said with his head lowered in shame.

'Lincoln you belong to me and no one else. You are mine. The only one I chose to make a contract with. Lift your head" Riley said.

As if been told he was a precious gem Lincoln raised his head with a dazzling smile and pink sparkling eyes. He turned his attention to the group of demons and a smirk emerged.

"Die you scum, I serve only one master"

Lincoln said as he flicked his finger and all six demons fell to the ground with blood leaking from their eyes, ears, nose and mouth.

"Well now we know what they're planning" Louis said.

"Let me fight next time" Niklaus said to Riley with a sulking face.

"Don't worry I promise I'll let you have fun" Riley replied and Niklaus brighten up immediately.

"They said capture lord Darien and Vincent my dad. Does that mean they still aren't aware that lord Kerr is here as well?" Kai asked.

"That does seem to be the case" Louis said.

"But how do they even plan to capture two demon lords are they insane?" Kai asked.

"It does seem a bit absurd, but…" Riley said but he couldn't shake the feeling that there was more to this situation than what meets the eye. Riley knew that a prison break of this magnitude was not planned overnight.

Could they really capture them? And how, who is the one behind this?

Riley was oblivious to the deathly aura he was giving off when he stared at the six demons on the floor. His keen red ruby eyes pierced through the demons as if reading into their very souls. Niklaus and Louis who felt this both took a step back as if suffocated by his presence.

"You feel it too don't you?" Niklaus whispered in a voice that only Louis could hear.

"This immense aura….it reminds me of dad when he starts to get serious" Louis said.

Niklaus nodded in agreement. He was studying Riley closely from the moment he saw him. He was a first year who suddenly wandered into another dimension and was placed in a situation like this, but not once did he looked panic. The way he was handling everything reminded Niklaus of lord Vincent's calmness and strategic thinking. It was like he was in control.

"I can't help it but when I look at Riley I see my dad. He acts exactly like lord Vincent and I forget he is actually the son of lord Darien" Louis laughed lightly.

"Yeah…but those two seem oblivious to everything" Niklaus said directing his gaze at Kai and Lincoln.

Kai was standing by Riley's side unaffected and Lincoln happily hugged Riley resting his head on his shoulder.

"Yeah they're totally helpless" Louis sigh defeatedly.

A sudden bolt of light flashed causing the boys to look up. A huge crack had appeared splitting above in two.

"It's time, this space is collapsing we should make our move now" Lincoln informed.

"Where should we go? Louis asked.

"We're going up" Lincoln answered.

"I'm a shapeshifter our kind can't fly unless their bloodline animal has wings and I don't I'm a panther" Niklaus said.

"I don't know how to fly" Riley said. Truth be told, he didn't even know if half demons have wings.

"I don't have actually wings but I can use my blood magic to call on my butterfly to transform into wings. I can only make it to attach itself on one person. Of course I choose Riley" Lincoln said.

"Kai and I are the only ones with wings huh.." Louis said.

"Brother, you will carry Niklaus, Lincoln you will fly using your magical butterfly. I told Riley I'd stay by his side and I meant it, I'll carry him" Kai said leaving no room for arguments.

"Okay then let's go" Riley said as Kai hugged him from behind and his beautiful black wings showed themselves.

Louis also held unto Niklaus and took to the sky followed by Lincoln with his crimson wings.

Once high in the air they waited for the crack to opened wide enough and on Riley's signal they all went through it together.

What will await them on the other side? And will the demon lords be captured? What has befell the prestigious demon school DarkFall.
