I need a Hero

'Hello my name is Jessica White... Journalist for the South Park News. I know what your thinking. What's so special about South Park, Colorado to tell the entire world? Well I will tell you what the whole world must know.'

*Flashback to the first time I saw a hero*

My camera crew and I got lost. I was walking around with my camera strapped around my neck trying to find something good to make a story about. When all the sudden, we all nearly fall over when we felt the ground shaking and explosions setting off in the distance with fire erupting in a matter of seconds.

I panicked running away as I couldn't find my crew. I ran to an alleyway behind a dumpster hiding holding my camera tight in my hands.

I slowly peek my head out and I see a group of people dressed up in dark colored suits destroying the entire area.

My heart sank as I saw someone grabbing cars and pushing them like they were nothing. Someone holding fire in their hands and shooting flames at the buildings. Somebody else shooting electricity out of his bare hands destroying the power lines causing all the lights in the area to explode.

My heart was accelerating at a high speed while my whole body went into shock not believing anything I was witnessing. I slowly brought out my camera seeing my hands shaking. I focus on my breathing zooming in on the camera taking a bunch of pictures of them using these abilities.

'This is insane, these are actual people with powers with super strength, fire, electricity then...'

I see explosions due to cars blowing up, buildings and much more further in the distance. I see somebody creating explosions out of their finger tips. They had the sickest smile looking for more things to destroy.

'I should record this...'

I changed my camera setting to record the scene. I captured everything on video. I was making sure I zoomed in and zoomed out capturing all their abilities. Then I hear people screaming from a distance.

"We need some hostages then this town is going to be ours for sure!!!!!"

I tensed up hearing their threat. I looked back down seeing my camera still recording.

'I have all this on video.'

I see the strong villain lift a car throwing it in a building. My jaw dropped as my body was trembling in fear. I see a guy in a black cloak walk past the alleyway I was currently in.

My heart sank as I held my mouth tight feeling tears come. I see him with his hand in his pockets looking around. I tensed when I hear something behind me. My eyes widen as I quickly turn around seeing nothing. I felt my heart rate insanely high look back seeing the guy still there but he stopped in his tracks. I see a black hand come out of the shadow of the dumper I was hiding behind.

I screamed out falling backwards crawling away watching in fear. I felt a sharp pain on my ankle as a black arm grabbed me tight. I screamed out loud again grabbing anything. I was dragged harshly toward the dumpster. I grit my teeth fearing for my life. I threw my hand on the building digging my fingers in the brick wall feeling my nails bending back. I screamed out as I was losing my grip. Then piece of the brick I was holding fell off while I was sucked underneath the dumpster. All that could be heard was my screams.

I woke up feeling a strong breeze hit my face.

I slowly open my eyes feeling really dizzy.

I tried moving my hands but I couldn't. I look down seeing myself tied to a chair.

I look up freaking out even more as I saw I was on a roof of a building.

My heart sank deep to my stomach as a knot formed in my throat when I saw the group looking at me with wicked smiles.

"Looks like we have a spy, gentlemen. " The one with the black cloak said holding up my camera.

"I..... "

My eyes widen as I felt a hand over my mouth but no one was there. I glance down seeing the guy's shadow was stretched to my mouth coming from his shadow. Tears began falling from my cheek as I knew this wasn't going to end well for me.

He held up the camera recording me.

"Croc, why don't you introduce who we are to the camera?"

I see the big one approach me. I began shaking my arms and legs feeling the heavy rope burn on my wrist and ankles as I muffled in the cloaked man's shadow hand.

"Hello South Park!! We are known as the Dark Abyss. We are here to eliminate all the citizens that live here. Destroy everything and rule any town we come into contact with. There will be nothing left after one week. We can promise you that so if you have what it takes to stop us. Come at us. But I assure you, there is no such thing as a hero here.."

"Hmmmm interesting... "

"What?"

"Did you really think you could broadcast us without us knowing little girl?" The cloaked man said while glancing up at me. I looked up with the cold wind blowing in my face sending shivers down my spine.

I see the guy walk up to me with my camera still recording.

I struggled moving back and forth again muffling loudly.

He got the camera right up to my face.

"Any last words for the people of South Park?"

I felt the hand leave my mouth.

I look away hiding my face while choking up in more tears.

I felt a finger on my chin lift it up but it wasn't his. It was his shadow again.

I see him with a crocked smile striking even more fear in my system.

"Croc... Seems she doesn't have any last words. Finish her off."

I felt a tight grasp on my shoulders.

"W-wait!!!" I yelled out.

He looked back holding the camera at me.

"Yes?"

"You...won't get away with this.." I cried out.

They all laugh out loud.

"Oh really, and who's going to stop us?"

"I.....d-don't know how you got your powers.. But.. For every villain there is a hero."

They all roared with laughter.

"Oh my dear... You are an interesting one... "

He put his hands on my face squeezing my cheeks tight.

I look at him still shaking.

He smiled down at me so sinister like.

"So... Interesting.. "

He looked at the big guy behind me.

I felt the hand on my shoulder tighten crushing me.

I feel the chains get off my wrists and ankles.

He grabbed my arm harshly forcing me off the chair making me stand on my feet.

I see a shadow forming toward me pressing on my chest. I felt my whole body going into shock as he slowly pushed me toward the ledge.

"If there's a hero for every enemy... If I see you again.. I'll be sure to meet that hero you were speaking of. "

I see him hold up his hand waving.

I felt as if time slowed down when I was harshly pushed off.

I see them peek on the edge still recording me.

I grit my teeth closing my eyes knowing I was seconds from death. I let out a final scream when I felt a gust of wind hit me hard then hear a crash of glass and a thud.

I hear panting and wincing next to me.

My eyes widen in surprise seeing I was still alive.

'What happened...'

I quickly touched my chest feeling my heart and body slowing down from shaking so much.

I hear more groaning.

I quickly turn around feeling my face flush.

I see someone on the ground gritting his teeth with a lot of bad glass cuts and chunks inside him. I noticed his outfit was covered in cuts and blood also.

"Oh my god... "

I quickly rush to him kneeling down next to him.

He opened one eye looking up at me in pain.

"A-are you...okay?" He managed to say.

I tensed up in utter disbelief with his words.

'Did.. He just ask that?'

"I'm fine.. What about you?"

"I-I'll be fine..." He breathed out.

I felt tears come as I knew he was lying.

"Can I... Do anything to help you please?"

"I... Used up.. a lot of my energy.. I need time then I can heal myself. He slowly said breathing harder.

"You... Can heal?"

He lightly nodded groaning through his teeth.

"Hey... You have a lot of glass in you...I can help." I said touching his chest.

"Please.. Don't.." He said grabbing my wrist away from him.

"Please.. I..want to help somehow." I cried out.

I hear him sigh.

"Okay.." He said letting go of my wrist.

I slowly pick one by one. The longer I did this process the more I felt guilty.

'This is all my fault the least I could do is help him.'

He was holding in a lot of noises, I could tell.

"Oh my god... Their everywhere.. " I said seeing a lot of small glass shards deeper in his skin.

"I know.. I... Wasn't thinking.." he breathed out turning into a wince.

I look up at him.

"How did you catch me.. And end up in here?"

"I...have abilities.. "

I felt my heart flutter feeling my mouth gap slightly.

"W-wait.. Are you a... Hero?"

He slowly opened his eyes giving a small nod.

I felt tears come.

"I knew it.. I knew there was heroes.. At least.. I... Hoped."

He breathed out sharply as I pulled out the biggest shard of glass in his chest.

He grit his teeth hard groaning out loud.

"Your doing good.." I said trying to get his mind off of the pain even though I knew I couldn't.

I pulled out some more then I tensed when I hear yelling from a hall near us.

"WHAT HAPPENED TO HER?!?"

"I don't know... She's not on the ground I couldn't see anything it all happened so fast."

"ALL OF YOU FIND HER... IF WHATS SHES SAYING IS TRUE AND THERE'S HEROES, WE NEED TO KILL THEM ALL!! EVERYONE SCATTER THE AREA, FIND HER!!!" He growled out loud.

I felt hands on my arms.

I jumped in surprise looking down at him.

"Get out of here...if they see you they will kill you."

"What about you?" I cried out.

"Don't worry about me go!"

I felt tears come.

I hear footsteps coming nearby.

"Please... Go.." He said through his teeth.

I grit my teeth looking down balling my fists and ran for it.

I hide in the shadows panting hard seeing light slowly shine in the area.

I hear a dark laugh fill the room.

"Well, well, well...What do we have here?"

I see a guy walk up with a fireball looking down at the hero. I see the hero laying on the ground in no condition to do anything to protect himself. The villain looked at the window.

"Ohhh I see.. Your a hero... Huh? You saved her and took the all damage.. Clever move... Well... This will be an easy kill."

I see his fists erupt in flames then...

My eyes widen and heart sank as I see laser beams come from the hero. I hear the villain scream out loud crashing into the wall.

I was left dumbfounded.

'He....just did that? Laser beams... Healing and...'

I look at the window..

'Flight?'

I hear the villain spark in fiery rage yelling out loud.

"Try that again hero!!"

I see fire erupt all over his arms and hands.

"I dare you!!!" He screamed out.

I felt my heart accelerate. I see him walk up to the hero. The hero was struggling slowly crawling backward breathing hard out harder. I see him arms shaking and hands slipping off the floor.

'He can't do this.. He is too weak.. I need to help him... But how?'

I slowly back up and hear I kicked something. I look back and see a crowbar.

Before I could do anything I hear a sharp pitched yell.

"What now hero.... You hurt me... So I'll hurt you EVEN MORE!!"

I hear it turned to a blood curling yell of of pain.

I cried my eyes out feeling my body shaking in so much fear.

'Need to save him.. Need to SAVE HIM!!!'

I grabbed the crowbar and without thinking I ran as fast as I could. I see the guy with a fiery hand touching his chest burning him deep.. The hero was arching his back screaming out in so much pain.

I didn't think I just wanted it to end.

I grit my teeth closing my eyes swinging as hard as I could at the villain.

I was breathing hard with the crazy amount of adrenaline. I didn't hear anything but the hero groan in pain. I slowly open my eyes feeling my whole body go into shock and disbelief.

I let go of the crowbar seeing him collapse on the ground.

I felt my whole body trembling as I slowly looked down seeing blood all over me.

"I....killed...him..."

I was cut off of my panicking when I hear sharp coughing near me.

I tensed badly looking over at the hero wincing with his eyes closed.

I panicked getting on my hands and knees touching his face.

"H-hey...I'm going to get you out of here, okay?"

His breath was so sharp and weak. I look at the major burns on his chest.

'What do I do.. What do I do?...'

I hear his breath slow down.

"Hey, hey... No, no, no.. Please..." I cried out freaking out.

I see his body going limp.

I felt heavy tears fall off my face.

"Damn it he didn't deserve to fucking die!!" I cried out loud.

I looked for anything, anything at all then stopped when I see something flashing on his wrist. I grabbed his hand looking and seeing a watch.

I read it to myself.

"Young Alliance Call Button."

My eyes widen as I hit the button with no second thought behind what I just did.

Within a second I see someone appear next to me.

"W-what h-happened to h-him?"

I look up at someone with crutches.

My mouth gaped in surprise.

'H-He... Needs help.. Please...'

He looked at him.

"Is he passed out?"

"I don't know.. I'm scared for him he doesn't look good, please..."

He grabbed the hero wrapping his arm around him.

"T-thank you."

"Thank you for coming so soon."

"We w-will try fixing this..and s-save the town."

I smiled.

"Thank you hero."

He gave a smile and within a second he disappear.

'Wow... Crazy speed. If there's really heroes... Maybe the villains can be stopped for good..'
