1 What am I?
Nine years ago an energy foreign to us known as mana came to Earth and opened portals to another plaign called "Dungeons" also known as "Gates".Humans didn't know what gates were and left it to the government but because of ignorance they left the gates unexplored and after two weeks the gates broke and monsters killed,ate and destroyed everything they saw.
After the gates broke people learned about mana and started to awaken abilities they used to fight the monsters.But the monsters already took over most of the world and humanity was only able to regain a third of the Earth.
The surviving first people to awaken their abilities split humanities remaining territory into five separate continents which is ruled by the five strongest and only surviving members of the first awakend who took back a third of the Earth.
Now nine years later humans enter gates to eliminate dungeons and gain resources to further strengthen themselves.

"Please come this way"
I am really nervous because today is my testing day to see what rank my ability is.As the government worker calls me over to the testing room I get up and walk wobbly to the room.
"There's no need to be nervous.We're not going to bite you."
The woman says as she giggled.I smiled wryly and scratched the back of my head.
"What's your name and age?"
"Ender Ryley,age 20".
"Oh!Are you related to the S-rank hunter of "The Holy Guild"Sir Richard 'Enlight' Ryley by chance?"The woman asked excitedly.
"Yes,he is my father"I said with no emotion.
"Wow!It must be nice having a famous father.You must feel very fortunate."
My expression involuntary turn cold.The woman noticed and felt awkward because of my expression so she skipped the topic."Well then...put your hand on the crystal and I will test your mana type and strength and give you a rank."
I proceeded to the cristal and placed my hand on it.The woman then began to explain the colors and what rank they represent.
"The crystal will shine one of seven colors and we will give you a rank based on that.The colors are yellow,orange,green,blue,red,black and gold corresponding with the ranks F,E,D,C,B,A and S.Your type of ability will also show upon the monitor.Now please imagine yourself pouring your energy into the crystal."
To even have an ability you must have mana in your body and luckily I do because my entire family is a family of hunters.I imagined my energy flowing through my body injected some of my mana,the next moment a blinding light pierced my eyes and the crystal started to shine.It first started at yellow and then..there was no then it stopped at yellow.
"What,impossible!There must have been some mistake."
"I'm sorry but the machine was just updated a few weeks ago and it has worked perfectly,there would be no mistake."She said apologetically.
Damn!Now I will be even more suppressed by my family.With everyone being at least D-rank I will be the weakest.Wait maybe I have a useful ability.
"May I know what type of ability I have?"I asked anxiously.
The woman looked back at the monitor and was surprised "Oh!It seems to be a special ability!"
"Really!?"I was also surprised for there were four types of abilities namely:Attack type,support type,defense type and special type.And to have a special ability is really rare.
"What is it?"
"I wouldn't know that,you would be the only one to be able to answer that question.All you would have to do is just have to look at your status.You should be able to now that you know how mana feels,just imagine that feeling and move the mana too your eyes and say 'status'."
Following her advice I moved my mana to my eyes and said "status."My eyes shine with a yellow color and a screen popped up.

"Is something the matter Sir?"she asked seeing my emotions fluctuate between confusion and anger.
"No,nothing's wrong."
She then ignored my behavior and spoke again.
"Would you mind coming to the monitor so we can record your status on our system."
I didn't even hear her as I was confused.
What's a demi-human?
"Sir?"she called over."Sorry I have somewhere I need to be.Goodbye!"I rushed out of the room as I ignored her.
"Wait!We need to record your status!"
I ran out of the hall and exited the building and kept on running.

I was out of breath and sat on a bench in a nearby park.My head down and my hands covered my face as sweat ran down.
"What the hell did I just read?"
...
When I got to the bench I took a look at my status again and got detailed information about my race and ability.What I read made my heart beat so fast that it gave me a headache and made me nauseous.
"No this can't be,what am I?"
