Douxie POV:
I had to admit. Laylah had grown up a lot. But she hadn't changed thankfully.
I placed my hand on the door and it unlocked.
"Come on, then" I say according them inside the shop
"The answers to all your questions are within"

Laylah POV:
I walked inside the bookstore with Steve, Toby and Ararrgh. All sorts of things were floating around. I grabbed one of the books and opened it in interest.
"Ah! There's flying books" Toby said as the things were flowing around in a pattern.
I kneel my back on a wall as I read the first few pages of the random book. Douxie joins us in the library. I things flow around and Toby got his hand on a globe. Inside of it was a tiny ship with a crystal in the back.
"Put that down!" A voice said as we all look around.
"Thank ether your here! We haven't a moment to waste"
I don't look up from the book as I wanted to find out how to upgrade my magic bracelet. I've been looking for this book for ages!
I was basically blocking most of the conversation out when I heard Douxie reply to Merlin
"I tried, I couldn't find any changelings or the aliens, I'm pretty sure they left the planet"
"Merlin it's me! Toby Domzalski! You know war hammer, Guardian of Arcadia!"
"No one could forget you chatty" Merlin groaned walking around
"And Steve Palchuk, creeplayer!" He says in a slow voice and in slow motion
"I have no idea who you are"
"But we are desperate, thankfully we have the brute" Merlin says pointing to aargh
"But I swear there's one more, uh Douxie how many guardians of Arcadia were there?"
"Uh there were 4 of them" He says Merlin counting around
"No, there are 3, the troll, chatty and well I don't know who is..."
I roll my eyes. "ahem" I grunt as I pull the book down from my face. Archie fly's over to me and lands on my shoulder.
"Forgetful as always Merlin, see you haven't changed anymore then the last time we met"
I say walking over to him.
"Lay? What are you doing here?"
Typical of Merlin to ask me this.
"Well how about you use that head of yours and figure it out yourself" I say with a smirk as I go and stand next to Douxie.
"Guess my partner hasn't changed a bit apart from height and look"
Douxie nods and looks over at me. I give him a sweet smile in return.
But Toby interrupts us. "Wait, Where's Jimbo and Claire I thought they were with you?"
"Answers Forthcoming, maybe preparations, we've got a journey ahead and don't."
"But Master! -"
"But" Master me- "
"But. are you sure you want to count on these children, there clearly not ready for this"
"Jee thanks Doux" I say giving him a look of annoyance.
"No not you Lay, them" He says pointing to the group of 3
"Excuse me, college dude, these children fought off a 50-foot extraterritorial" But when Steve said that he knocks off the knight's helmet. He has it in his hands and the knight grabs Steve's head.
"Dude let go off his head!"
"It's got my head too!" Steve wines
I sigh and roll my eyes. I use a small spell and spark the helmet in Steve's hands and move it back to were it was before.
Merlin sighs "Thank you"
He says giving a wink.
I manage to give off a small smile when, Merin starts walking away and using his magic to levitate items into boxes.
"Master I'm ready for this" Douxie says with passion.
"Doubtful" Merlin replies coldly
"I've spent years preparing, centuries!"
"Silence!" Merlin yells as he stops in his tracks. Douxie rolls his eyes.
Merlin looks over to Douxie and see's he's annoyed.
"I mean silence all of you, can you not hear that?"
The room started to shake as everything in the room becomes dark. Some things turn red including the clock on the wall.
Toby grabs his Warhammer from his pocket and puts up to defend himself.
"Something wicked this way come" Merlin whispered as we peered out of the bookstores front window.
Then a whole herd of shadow mephits appear. The all growl and hiss as the try to get in.
"Shadow Mephits? Hisirdoux, did you lead them here?" Merlin says looking firmly at Doux.
"No! No! I mean I don't think so"
"Yes, we did" Archie says leaping onto a bench facing Merlin.
"He found us! The barrier won't hold for long we must make egress! Tobias take my things!" Merlin says and uses his magic that takes TP and his stuff with him to the top of the roof.
"All of you get to the roof!" But Douxie and I don't go anywhere.
"Hisirdoux! Lay! I said get to safety!"
"I've got this! I-I mean we've got this. We can help" Doux says grabbing my hand and squeezing it tightly.
We were all in a small circle blasting bit of magic at the shadow mephits. Flashes of each other magic fill the room with colour.
Green, Blue and Purple
"Yes! I've learned a thing or two since we last met" Douxie says still holding my hand tightly. I wasn't sure why he was doing it but I felt flustered.
"Use the flux rune second, it's stronger" Merlin says changing the spell on Douxie's magic bracelet.
"All right I knew that!" Douxie yells out to Merlin as he rushed up stairs.
"Douxie!"
"Arch!" Doux and I cry as we grab Archie using a leash spell and pulled him back to us.
"I'm fine no need to worry" Archie says as Douxie places him on the ground.
Douxie spins his bracelet to a spell and blasted it at the shadow mephits. It was balls of fire.
The spell seemed to be working! Which was a good and bad thing.
"Haha!" Douxie says with joy
"Fire?" Merlin says walking over to us
"Yeah, magic fire"
"In a bookstore"
Merlin did have a point. But what else were we supposed to do.
"But mephits are vulnerable to fire" Douxie says as we both get pushed by Merlin.
"Move it!"
Soon we were all on the roof. Merlin had a small globe in his hand. Which had a tiny ship inside of it. I knew exactly what it was.
"Stand back!" He yells throwing the globe to the ground. The tiny ship expanses into a life size one!
"Whoa! Ship just got real" Steve says with amazement.
"Everyone on!" Aargh says throwing all of us onto the ship. Not the best way to get on a ship.
Merlin hurries and places his staff in the middle of the ship. The sky burst with green magic as we were about to take off.
But then Douxie and I looked down to see a dark figure. He was wearing iron Armor. The shadow mephits surrounded him.
He looks up at me and Douxie and points his sword towards us.
Without thinking about it I blast sparks back at him. It lands on him but he doesn't move. I needed a Plan B
The sparks were still coming towards us. Without thinking I use my spell to hold the sparks but it wasn't much use.
The magic coming from the knight was to strong. The evil magic ran through my veins. The knight pointed to my as long ropes of magic grab me. I couldn't do anything since I had my magic focused on the spikes.
The magic from the knight ran threw my body.
"Laylah! Let go!" Douxie said trying to pull the ropes of me. It was getting hard to hold the spell. The figure was not only trying to pull me away he was trying to push the sparks toward the ship.
I grunt trying to hold the grip.
"Layah let go!" Merlin says
I had no choice. I let go of the spikes and hit the ship. I was still attached to the knights hold. I almost fly forwards as I let go of the spell. Douxie grabs my hand.
"Lay! Don't worry I got you!" He was pulling me back with two hands. Another long bit of leash tangled around my arm that Douxie was pulling.
"Archie!" Douxie yells looking straight into my eyes. I could see he was worried as anything.
"On it!" Arch says turning his form into a dragon. He starts blowing fire on the leash and it melted. Doux and I tumbled onto the ship. Another wave of sparks hits the ship. We all fall over once again.
Merlin quickly got up and grabbed his staff as we quickly were about to fly off.
Douxie and I get up and look over the side of the ship. The knight pointed his sword towards us. Doux and I quickly got our bracelets in fight formation spell mode.
"Girll...…." The knight echoes as we fly off above the clouds.
