(15-year-old) Douxie POV:
I walked around the castle halls really bored. There wasn't anything to do. Laylah was with Morgana and Merlin was with King Arthur.
Ever since I met Merlin I've always wanted to control magic of my own. But Merlin said I find it with in, but to be honest I don't know how too.
I walk inside the workshop and take a look around.
"What are you doing?" Archie asked walking behind me
I didn't answer. I was flicking books all across the room.
"Douxie! Your making a huge mess"
I still didn't answer.
"Aha! Found it!" I say grabbing a dark blue book I started to flick through the pages one by one.
Archie jumped on the table and look down on the book.
"Here it is, a magic detection spell casting bracelet"
"And why do you need this?" Archie asks crossing his arms
"Merlin said I had to find my magic within, this can help me get a head start"
"Are you sure Merlin would be okay with this?"
I shrug at this point I didn't really care what Merlin would say. I walk around the room opening draws and cabinets.
~- 5 hours later-~
It was around 10pm at night and I had finishing polishing the edges of my new magic possession. I slipped the bracelet on to my right arm.
I flick through the setting and started it up. I clicked a random spell and sparks of light flew around the room. I started to levitate off the ground.
"Woo-hoo!" I say punching the air.
I was so proud. This thing took 5 hours to make but it was worth it.
But suddenly Archie and other objects in the room started to levitate.
"Woah! Douxie!"
"Hang on! I got it!" I say quickly flicking through the spells again.
But Merlin and Laylah walking into the room and they started to levitate too.
"Hisirdoux what is happening here?!" Merlin asked
"No need to panic lets me just reverse this and it will all be as it was!"
Merlin rolls his eyes and grabs his staff
He punches it in the air as everything that was flouting turned green. We were all slowly placed down on the ground.
Merlin sighed.
"Hisirdoux what have you done?"
"What do you mean? I haven't done anything, all I have done is created a magic generated source into accessory"
I say show-casing the source on my arm.
"Woah, Douxie! That's amazing how long did that take?!" Laylah asked with astonishment.
"Hisirdoux, I told you that you have to find it within"
"I know, I know, but this will help me at least get a head-start"
Merlin sighed.
"Fine, but if a situation happens like this again I will be taking that thing away from you"
I nod in agreement
"Now, I must go and help Morgana with this new spell, and Hisirdoux clean this mess up, Laylah please help Hisirdoux with this task then off to bed both of you"
Merlin walked out of the room.
Laylah turned to me and I smiled she smiled back. I looked around the room.
"Woah, Douxie, jeez you did a number on this room" She sighs
"Yeah, sorry you must be tired, I'll clean up you go to bed"
"No, it's okay" She replies
She was already helping with picking up the books.
I sigh "Okay"
She was stacking the book onto the table.
I see a lot of dust on the floor so I go out of the room and grab a dust pan and broom. But when I walk back in the room Laylah was asleep in her chair.
Her head was laying on her arms that were placed on the table. I couldn't help but smile. She had been so busy all day she was exhausted. I pick her up off her feet and carry her upstairs.
Her head laid against my chest. Her breath was heavy she was really fast asleep.
I slowly placed her into bed as I placed a small blanket over her.
I stood up and smiled. She was just so cute when she was sleeping.
I pushed back some loose strands that were covering her face. I lent down a lightly kissed her forehead.
"Sweet Dreams"

(13-year-old) Laylah POV:
I woke up in my slumber in my room of the castle.
I rubbed my eyes as they adjusted to the light of the room.
I slowly get up and change into new, fresh clothes. I run down stairs and into Merlin's workshop. I really wanted to find out what Douxie had made. I wanted one of my own.
I open the door of the workshop and see Merlin and Douxie.
"What's going on here?" I ask
"Well, Hisirdoux here thought it would be good if you have one as well" Merlin replied
"One of wh-WOAH!" I gasp as Hisirdoux holds up a magic bracelet just like his except in purple.
"Oh my god! No way!"
"Thank you!"
"My-I mean our pleasure" Douxie corrects
I big smile forms on my face
I slip it on my arm and look at the settings. I use a spell and lift Douxie in the air.
"Hey! Careful there! I don't want to have to clean up the workshop again"
"And I know what I'm doing" I chuckle
"Woah, woah! Hey careful!" Douxie sighs as I lift him up and down
"My turn!" He shouts lifting me up
"Woah woah woah! Hey!!" I laugh
The 2 of us chuckle as we keep lifting each other up and down.
Merlin sighs but chuckles at the same time.
Morgana walks into the room and gaspes
"What in lords name is going on here?" She askes rushing over to us
"It's okay Morgana, these two are just having a bit of fun with their new toys"
"But may I remind you, use them well"
"Can do!" I shout back
As we kept lifting each other up and down.

Merlin POV:
I look at my partner and my apprentice having fun lifting each other up and down. I couldn't help but smile. It was so good to see the two children smiling with joy.
"The future will be really interesting for these two" Morgana smiles
"Future?" I question in my wisdom
"When you think about it, Laylah has a very strong power within but hasn't discovered it, from the past events when she was young has made her stronger, Douxie has also been through the same thing but he is more of a soft gentle person. Laylah has a more determined and has ambition. The two connect and together they would be unstoppable"
It all made sense. Morgana was right. The two were slightly different in personality but they have the same background. Both of them have been through the same thing. That's what makes them so strong. They have learned to adapt to the world around them at their own pace.
"Yes well, when the time comes when sadly we might be around anymore, however they will hopefully and fill in our shoes" I say smiling at Morgana
She nods and smiles back.
