'It's Stella,'

The next day as soon as the bell rang I got up from my seat ' Your not coming for recess today,' Reagan asked ' No today is my shift in the Library,' 'Really,' ' Ok maybe not but I need to catch up on somethings,' ' We'll come with you' and so Reagan and Tessa followed me to the library and stood in front of the counter as I went behind it and started to do my work as they stared at me 'What,' I asked them as I got really annoyed 'Spill the tea,' Tessa asked me ' What tea,' ' With you and Jayden,' 'Yeah what is going on ,' now Reagan also joined in 'Nothing, what are you talking about,' ' Oh come on Stella so many people saw that he was in the café with you,' Tessa continued ' Yeah so he was there to order,' 'So he ordered until your shift was over,' 'Wait how you know how long he was there,' 'We have our sources,' both Tess and Reagan said and started giggling ' Stalkers ,'I said and went back to my work. 'Speak of the devil see who just walked in,' Reagan said as Jayden walked in to the library and came towards the counter 'Hey,' I smiled at him 'Well we need to get going,' saying so Tessa dragged Reagan with her as I raised my eyebrows and motioned them to stay 'See you later Sel,' Reagan said and was out of sight.'Sel ,' he said 'That not my name, what are you doing here,' he handed me a book and while I was checking it in Jayden was trying to guess my name 'Selena,Selendra,Selcine,' 'Not even close,' 'Sellana,Selesa,' 'No where did you even get those names, by the way you need to pay 20 dollars as late fee, when did you check this out,' 'Two years ago,' 'That makes sense, why didn't you bring it,' ' I had to go for rehab,' he said looking me 'You really don't do anything than studying do you,' ' I do,.... just don't have time,' I said getting up and walking out of the library as the bell rang 'I didn't get your name still,' he yelled 'Because you didn't earn it,' I yelled back and was off to my next class.

School ended and I was at my locker getting my books with my friends when Jayden and a few of his friends came over and he asked me 'Sharpe tongue, I'm having a house warming party wanna join with your friends,' at that I looked at Tessa and Reagan and they nodded but though I wanted to go I also had a lot of stuff to get done and I didn't also want to go so ' We got a lot of homework and the thing is due tomorrow so,' I said 'Tomorrow is Saturday,' shit I forgot well I said another excuse then ' Well I live a bit far so ,' 'You live like five blocks away from me,' 'She'll be there,' Tessa jumped in 'Then see you at seven,' and he left. 'What was that Stella,' Tessa asked 'I don't want to go,' 'Well you are going,' and I didn't bother to argue back as I knew no matter what Tessa and Reagan was going to take me. They came over to my place after my shift was over at the café and we got ready. I went downstairs with Tessa and Reagan and as soon as Mrs. Lambert saw us she couldn't stop giving us comments I told her I'll come before ten o'clock so she could leave after babysitting my siblings. The three of us laughing and talking reached Jayden's house. It was decorated with so many colorful lights and various party decorations. We entered house and there were barrels of beer, jello shots and so much food, Jayden saw us and came ' Wow you look great,' he said to looking at my black varnished dress I blushed slightly and he showed us everything and then he went to get us drinks. 'It's packed in here,' I said looking around 'Obviously I mean everyone is here from school so,' said Tessa 'I guess so,' and they left 'Wait where are you'll going,' 'Well I'm sure you don't need us disturbing you love birds,' Tessa yelled through the noise 'Tessa get back here , I'm dead serious,' I said trying to scoop my way through to them but I lost them and was left to myself when Jayden came with drinks 'Where's your friends,' 'They saw someone and went to look and well basically I lost sight of them,' as he gave my drink someone who was really drunk knock me out of my feet 'Hey are you okay,' Jayden helped me up 'Thanks I'm fine,' I looked around and it gave me chills as it was so packed and I was becoming really conscious Jayden saw that I was uncomfortable and asked 'It's a bit crowded will go out side,' and he pushed me in front of him by my waist as he made way for us to go the garden. As we came a fresh breath of air passed and we started walking 'So how long have you been here,' Jayden started a conversation ' Well since I was born I lived her,' 'Only child,' 'No I have a younger brother and sister,' 'You seemed as a only child,' 'Why,' 'Just,'. We talked for a while and someone yelled 'Jayden,' when we reached the house after walking around the garden and he went up to check it.

The sky was beautiful it was a midnight blue and stars that shown like Fire files that lit the whole darkness. I stood there looking around when a couple of guys came towards me 'Hey, love,' one said 'Why you here all alone,' another asked I looked around but no one I knew was to be seen 'It's nice to me you'll but I need to leave,' 'What's the rush,' saying so he came closer to me. I wanted to leave but how can I out run them all. My breathing started to speed up with my chest pounding ten times than normal, my hand started to shake as I slowly walked backwards as they closed on me and until I hit a wall. One guy came closer and put his hand beside my face and I punched him which made him even mad. I bent down and closed my eyes as I screamed and heard someone yell 'What the hell man. Leave, get lost .If she has even the smallest scratch I'll make sure you'll regret it your entire life,' it was Jayden he came close to me and put his hand around my waist and held me up as they left and I looked so pale. 'Are you okay,' I looked at him almost tearing up I have experienced too much of situations like this to know that I was not going to win even though I struggled so I just screamed and tried to save myself. 'Why didn't you at least punch that guy,' he asked me helping me sit down 'But I did,' I said quietly 'Well I couldn't even see a scratch.' My head felt as if was about to blast 'I though you were tough than that,' and at that I was at the edge of crying so I hugged my knees and kept my head on my lap and Jayden put his jacket over me. 'You want me to take you home,' I looked at him like a wounded puppy pleased with his offer but I neither wanted to stay here or go home but I nodded and we were off.

After walking five blocks we stopped at my house a three floor house which was place peach and with old fashioned French windows. I turned back to face him and said 'It's Stella,' he smiled 'And thank you for today,' and I returned his jacket and opened my house door and went in. When I went in the lights in house was off and Mrs. Lambert was nowhere to be seen in the dining room where she always waited till I came home and it was impossible she could have left as it was only nine thirty still so I locked the door and walked slowly to the living room to see the lamp beside the arm chair lit and my dad sitting on it with a half empty bottle of bourbon in his hand. I was not prepared for it as he rarely came home early and at once I knew I needed to leave because I was too familiar with this situation. As I slowly walked he started to talk tone less 'Where have you been, 'My heart beat rose 'I went to a party few blocks away, 'I said quietly stopping dead as he turned towards me. 'I'm asking you again where have you been, 'he asked raising his voice, 'I went for a party a few blocks away,' I repeated not knowing what to expect and going very pale. As he rose from the chair I saw his face. He looked furious and angry and mad 'Damn it, where have you been, don't you dare lie to me,' he yelled and threw the bottle of bourbon at me. It nearly missed my head and hit the wall I was standing right in front and with the shattering sound I shook 'I didn't lie,' 'Oh don't you dare play that game with me Helen,' he got up and bent over the couch and got something and hid it behind his back and walked slowly towards me, all at once someone knocked on the door and my guess was correct it was Jayden 'Hey Stella are you ok,' he yelled through the door I knew if he came in the situation is going to be a whole lot worse 'I'm fine Jayden ,it was just a glass,' 'Are you sure why don't you let me in,' 'No, no it's fine I promise please Jayden leave, please I'll see you at school,' and with that the banging of the door stopped and I heard footsteps fading away. I didn't know what my dad had with him I couldn't escape so I slowly backed on to the wall until I hit it. 'Helen it doesn't have to be this way, just tell me where you've been,' 'Dad it's me,' I slowly mumbled. My heart started racing so fast my dad was drunk and thought I was mom and he hated mom. I knew I was done. He raised his hand and I saw it was a metal rod, I went pale I started to tremble and my legs gave up so I fell on to the floor, with his full power he hit me with the rod and my skin felt electricity going through it and it went red with the mark and then he swung the rod twice and then trice until I couldn't hold back my tears and pain as he yell 'This is all your fault,' over and over again and I completely lost it and screamed as he continued to beat my hands and my back as I curled myself onto a ball. 'Dad, dad, dad stop it please dad please,' I felt my back burning and my tears rolling down uncontrollably and as he yelled and cursed I screamed even louder 'Dad stop dad, dad , daddy please ,'and with that he suddenly dropped the metal rod and looked at me. 'Stella I don't even...,' he gave me his hand. I just couldn't, my hands were wrapped around myself my heart thumping loudly I slowly got up my eyes red, I was so so scared, my anxiety was creeping out on me as I looked at him painfully 'You really meant it, didn't you daddy,' and I ran up the stairs and peeked at Emma and Leo's room to see whether they were up and then to my room and locked my door.
