(Dimension 206)

1728, 1st August (Dimension 206)

Darkness enveloped me, but I could vaguely remember your warmth upon my skin. When your hand moves down my arm and your fingers meet mine to intertwine. Little moments like these matter, doesn't it? When your eyes meet mine, when our faces move a little bit closer just for your breath to be felt upon my lips.

It would feel like years passed us by, and slowly you would move in for a kiss. Nothing tasted sweeter then, nothing could taste any sweeter now. Now that you have gone away, further away than I could ever reach you. Nothing could have tasted any sweeter.

I opened my eyes and the next thing I knew I was in another body with the same face, same name but in a new place. A lady in a maid outfit, stood by the wide window and called out for my name. It might have all been a dream, but it felt real. I am currently in the year 1728, and yet you're not around. I am the eldest daughter of a known Dukedom, apparently I am to be betrothed soon to a man named Harold Quigley. A peculiar last name but he is not you, in fact I have a little hope that he could be you. How hopeful yet hopeless I am for you.

When I heard of it I was bitter. I felt bitter and angry, if it wasn't for the previous body's memories I could have been sure if it was all real but at this point it might have been an illusion, a figment of my imagination. How could I have been in the year 1972.It was an endless cycle of many different moments where we have met and I was stuck in it. Ridiculously entrapped in my own imaginary bubble.

Your last words clearly repeated in my mind, against my ears. It had been multiple times since this had occurred and every single time when I do find you, I end up losing you again. Your name had been Noah, Aaron, Melvin, Jacob, and many others but as time passed us by it didn't matter what your name was. As long as our path had crossed, but despite that, the pain I felt losing you every time we did meet had never lessened. I still felt it. Like the gun wound that I had received after your death in 1972. In some life, when our paths don't cross, I grow old alone never to meet you. Other timelines our paths meet and we fall in love, but I've never seen myself grow old with you. Loving you is always on my mind, may we meet in this life.

"Riley Baldwin! Are you ready yet? It's time."

Hearing my mother's voice behind wooden doors, I gave a quick reply and looked at my appearance in the mirror. Harold Quigley, let hope we can be civil.

"Coming, Mother!"

"Hurry on then love, he's here. I believe he would be just to your liking. Big hazel eyes, dashing good looks and he seemed to be quite athletic, why don't you go down to see him yourself in the drawing room?"

"My fiance is 'dashing' is he, mother? Should I tell father about this?"

"Naughty child, go along then…hmph!"

My dear mother held my hand as we walked down the stairs towards the drawing room and as I knocked the door softly, I could hear my father's chuckle as he asked me to come in. There I stood nervous, my eyes drawn to the patterns of the carpet in the drawing room. As my eyes looked up, there I saw a familiar man and my cheeks flushed red.
