Chapter 1 - A start of something new
In a small Café there are two students sitting down and drinking coffee. The vibe of the Café was lively, the staff was accommodating. Everything is beautiful around the Café, it is quiet, there is a lot of flowers around. When someone broke the silence.
"I'm really sorry! But we cannot be together, I'm already in love with someone else." Says by the girl while bowing her head towards Ace.
"No no, it is fine. I just wanted to tell you what I feel because we are already graduating, you know. You don't need to feel sorry for me." Replied by Ace.
Hi. My name is Ace. Yep, that's me. I got rejected again. I am 18 years old and graduating this school year. My hobbies are probably getting rejected cause this is my sixth time getting rejected this month.
When suddenly someone hit Ace head
"Yow, Ace. Wake up." Said by this bulky dude. "Why are you sleeping in the middle of the day, man? Don't tell me? Did you get rejected again?" added by the person that hit Ace.
"Aaahh, you don't have to rub it in me, Kyle." Replied by Ace.
This is Kyle, one of my best friend. We been through a lot. He was always with me whenever I am going through something.
"The teacher was calling for you, man. You gotta hurry up. He seems mad at you when he told me to call you. What did you do?" asked by Kyle.
"I don't know." Replied by Ace. As he was standing up someone kicked him from behind.
"HEY HEY HEYYYY!!! WHY ARE YOU SO DOWN ALREADY, ACE?" asked by Lance.
The one that kicked me is Lance. He is a taekwondo practitioner. I fell down when he kicked me from behind and just laid there not moving.
"Hey, are you alright?" asked by someone while extending his hand. This guy was Kayze, another one of my friends. I looked around and saw that Lance was being beat up by Kyle.
"Don't mind them, Ace. You need to go to the teachers office, right? Let me help you get there." Said by Kayze.
"Heeeeey hey, Kyle. Stop stop stoppp !!" screamed by Lance while defending himself from the barrage of attacks done by Kyle. "I was just playing with Ace. Please STOP HITTING ME !!" while running.
"ACE HELP ME! TELL KYLE TO STOP PLEASE" said by Lance while pleading for Ace's help.
"Let's go, Ace. You don't have to worry about him." Kayze said
"You deserve it, Lance." Added by Kayze while having his one eye closed and tongue out teasing Lance.
I walked outside the room with Kayze and we talked about what happened earlier.
"Why aren't you talking since earlier, Ace? Did you really get rejected again?" asked by Kayze
"Yeah, and this time I really thought that she liked me back" replied by Ace while sulking
"Man, I hate to be you. You always get rejected. I think it's time for you to switch teams, man." Said by Kayze to Ace while smiling
"Huh, switch teams?" asked by Ace curiously "What do you mean about that?"
"Be gay, man. A lot of guys are in love with you, you know?" said by Kayze while laughing hard and touching Ace tummy
"WHAT THE FUCK, MAN." Screamed by Ace while pushing Kayze away from him "And here I thought you were going to say something good or try to cheer me up."
"I am. Come on, man. Stop sulking, I'm sure we'll find you someone that will deserve you." Replied by Kayze while putting his hands on Ace's shoulders.
After walking for a while they got to the teachers office and Ace opened the door and saw a girl that is talking to the Mr. Zay and bowed after. She started walking towards the door and Ace hold it for her.
Mr. Zay is our homeroom teacher, he is sometimes strict and always pick on me. But he is a good teacher tho.
"Thank you." Genuinely said by the girl.
"You're welcome." Replied by Ace
The girl walked away from the room and Kayze pushed me inside cause he saw the teacher calling from me.
"Go now, the teacher is calling for you. Goodluck, man. Hope you come out of this alive." Said by Kayze while smiling and slowly closing the door.
"I'll get you later." Said by Ace silently
"Come here, Ace." Said by the teacher while waving his hand to come closer to him
Ace walked towards the Mr. Zay and I looked around the room. The room was full of books, laptops and papers that is probably our quizzes and assignments. And he is the only one sitting in the room full of that stuff. As I was walking towards him, he gestured me to sit down in the chair.
"Do you know what you want to do after senior high school? You still haven't filled out the form that I've given you guys." Said to Ace by Mr. Zay.
"Do you really not want to continue studying? Do you really want to stop and just start working? I mean it's fine but I hate you to waste your intelligence on some silly things." Added by Mr. Zay
"I still don't know, Mr. Zay. I still have a few days left to submit it, so I am just taking my time with it. I still haven't decided on what to do." Replied by Ace
"I want you to have this and look at it. I want to hear your answer tomorrow, you know you don't have a lot of time." Said by Mr. Zay while handing Ace a pamphlet
Ace looked at the pamphlet handed to him by Mr. Zay and began to read it. It says something about colleges that has an enrollment for next week. The college school is one of the biggest school in the country and has a little acceptance rate.
"I know what you are thinking, why did I give you that? I see something that is not seen by others, Ace. You have what it takes to get into that school if you get serious for once." Said by Mr. Zay to Ace
"I want you to really think about it. I'll wait for your answer. You should go now."
