An...interesting day?

The sun was rising and the pair were still asleep, but Bucky didn't notice that Estela was in cold-sweats and was shaking. God, being in the same position all night can't have been comfortable.

Estela's breathing had became short and shallow, her shivering had become twitching and more sweat had started to cover her body. Bucky had noticed a little bit of movement but not enough to wake him up and surprisingly, he was still holding Estela's hand.

Estela jolted awake, panting. Pain seared through her top half and she tried yanking her arms towards her but it didn't work, she grunted and tears stung her eyes as she continuously tried. Bucky had awoken but not "awake" awake, he rubbed his eyes tiredly but then he saw Estela struggling.

'Hey, hey, hey.' He whispered soothingly, jumping up. Miller had tears sliding down the side of her face and was still struggling to get her hands free, Bucky grabbed her right hand and held it tight. 'Estela, look at me.' She turned her head the opposite way but Bucky used his metal hand to gently grab her chin and make her look at him, she tried to move her head away but it didn't work. Her ice blue eyes constantly looking around the room. 'Estela. Stop. Look at me, in the eyes.' So she did.

'W-What?' She managed to say with a broken voice.

'You're okay, it was just a nightmare.' Bucky said quietly, cupping Estela's face. Estela took a shakey breath, she clenched and unclenched her fists to try and calm her down but it wasn't working.

'When c-can I get out of these cuffs?' Miller stuttered, trying to get out one last time. 'I don't want to be imprisoned any longer.'

Those words broke Bucky's heart, he knew how it felt and he didn't want guilt and horrible memories to return. He let go of Estela's face and looked at his phone, deciding whether to text Steve or not.

'I-It hurts.' Miller mutters, placing her head back on the bench in pain.

'You know what, stuff it. F.R.I.D.A.Y?' Barnes snapped.

'Yes Mr Barnes?' The A.I asked politely.

'Get Steve and Bruce.' There was a minute of silence, Bucky could see that Estela was in a lot of pain.

'They're on their way now.' F.R.I.D.A.Y. announced, a minute later, Steve and Bruce burst in. Bruce rushed over to the bench where Estela was and checked all of the monitors, the best Bruce could do was inject some plain killers.

'Bucky, did anything happen from when we left you last night to now?' Bruce asked urgently.

'Not really, we slept but then Estela had a nightmare but didn't wake up until about 10 minutes ago.' Barnes explained.

'Memories could be triggering her, did she tell you what it was about?' James shook his head.

'She was saying that she wanted to get out of the handcuffs and that something hurt but I didn't get more than that.'

'Could it be the same with Bucky?' Steve asked, Bruce shrugged unknowingly.

'Possibly.'

'Can we let her out? Just to see what she does.' Barnes questioned.

'I don't know....'

'Please! She's just getting more hurt by staying in the cuffs.' Bucky said desperately, Bruce began to feel guilty, realising that this is probably what Hydra did to Miller.

He sighed and freed Miller from the handcuffs, she immediately sat up but then groaned in pain and put her hand lightly on her wound.

'Where the fuck am I?' Miller hissed.

'Langauge.' Steve mumbled.

'Estela, look at me.' Bruce said calmly, beating Bucky to it. Estela looked at Banner and narrowed her eyes at him, he put his hands slightly above his head to show he was harmless. 'You're in a safe place, so you don't have to put up a strong wall and act like you're bad. Trust me, trust us. It doesn't end well.'

They expected a different reaction from Miller, like attacking them but they got something different, she just sighed and looked away.

'Okay.' Estela mumbled, Bucky slowly walked towards her with caution but she glared at him. So he put his hands above his head and stopped walking.

'How about I show you around?'

--------------------------------------------

So he did, Bucky showed Estela every room except for the lounge room which is where they were heading now.

The elevator doors opened and showed the lounge room which was filled with people, they all turned around and looked at Estela. A shiver goes down Miller's spine, all the people had a smile on their face except for the one with a hippie beard.

Bucky led Estela towards the group with a gentle nudge.

'Hello!' They all greeted at different times, Estela looked at Bruce and Steve who were in the lab before but couldn't figure out how they got here before them. I guess that's what happens when you spend all day being showed around an enormous building.

'I'm Steve Rogers.'

'Clint Barton.'

'Greetings, I'm Vision.'

'Hi, I'm Bruce Banner.'

'Scott Lang!'

'Tony Stark.' Hippie beard grumbled.

'Hello! I'm Peter Parker!' A teenage boy exclaimed excitedly, waving.

'Greetings mere mortal, I am Thor Odinson, God Of Thunder!'

'You already know me.' Wanda and Natasha said in unison.

'We're the Avengers.' Steve said, standing up and walking over to Estela. She took a step back with caution.

'Avengers?' Miller mumbled with a questioning look, Rogers nodded.

'Yeah! Superheroes!' Parker said, Miller gulped.

'Right....' She said.

'Hydra probably mentioned we're the bad guys before brainwashing you.' Stark said plainly with venom in his voice while scanning his nails. Estela's eyes widen.

'W-What?' Estela stuttered with fear, everybody glared at Tony and Bucky covered Estela's ears. She saw them yelling at each other but no noise was coming out of their mouths, Bucky led Estela away from the lounge room until he uncovered her ears.

'Hey, hey, it's alright.' Bucky said when he saw the terror in Estela's eyes, he put a hand on her shoulder and she tensed. Estela's eyes met his, his were gentle and concerned.

'W-What were they talking about?' Estela murmured, Bucky sighed.

'We freed you from Hydra, the organisation that took you when you were a child.' Estela stayed silent. 'You don't have all your memories back yet, do you?' He asked quietly, Estela still didn't answer him.

He took Estela back to the lounge room where the Avengers were arguing with Stark.

'HOW ABOUT WE HAVE A MOVIE NIGHT TO CALM DOWN!?!?' Bucky yelled over them, everybody stopped and looked at the two. There were lots of "yes!" and "YAY!!"s.

'What's a movie?' Estela asked with confusion, Parker gasped with shock.

'You don't know what a movie is?!'

'No....is it something good?'

'Hell yeah!! We can show you now!' He said excitedly.
