Raven Xie

She didn't have anything since last night. She also threw up whatever was left in her stomach so now that he was asking that question, she realized that she was actually starving.

She shyly nodded her head and mumbled, "Yes..."

He ended up chuckling upon seeing her sudden shyness. He took out his phone and messaged his assistant to bring food for her.

While waiting, Violet decided to ask the stranger some questions but before she could, the man took the word out of her mouth.

"I believe that we haven't got each other's names yet." He said, keeping his phone back in his pocket just to give her his full attention. "My name is Raven."

"Raven?" She prolonged his name just so he could mention his surname next.

The side of his lips curled up into a smile. He smiled in amusement as he rested his back on the chair's backrest. "Raven Xie."

Upon hearing his full name, she could feel how her eyes almost puffed out of its sockets. Note that exaggeration. That was how surprised she was.

"R-Raven Xie?! THE Raven Xie?! You don't look like you're 38! You must be joking, right?"

The man in front of her was clear of wrinkles. Could his silver hair be actually a sign of old age? But the black roots growing deemed that impossible.

Raven Xie was the Founder, Chairman, and CEO of the leading company in the business world, Rosarium Corporation.

No one has ever seen him since he was considered a high profile person who was given immunity by the government. He led the business world for almost 10 years now.

He was rumored to be a cold, scary man. What's so scary about him? Ever since she first saw him, he was full of smiles! Aside from that, how could he look like he was just in his early adulthood?

Her reaction was normal. Actually, Raven had already received such reactions from others.

"Do you want to check my identity card?"

How could he be the rumored walking iceberg when he was treating her this kindly?

Could he be... after her?

"I'm sorry, you're not my type." She suddenly said out loud which caught the man off-guard. "And I have a boyfriend." She lied. "I really appreciate the kindness you've been giving me but if you're doing this just to make me fall for you then it's impossible. My heart and body belong to my boyfriend."

Raven raised an amused brow at her. He didn't know whether to laugh or cry at what she said.

He stood up and took a step towards her which only made her shrunk back, away from him. "W-what are you doing? I-I'll scream if you attacked me... You may be a big shot b-but I-I won't back down!" She grabbed the pillow beside her and used it as a shield but at the same time, she was holding on it as if it was her killer weapon.

He reached out his hand to her and before she could even scream, he flicked her forehead hard.

"Ouch!"

"Did that finally put your brain in the right place?" He leaned back and straightened his back.

Eh?

She rubbed her forehead and pouted as she looked up at him. "What's that for?"

"You're imagining too much. Also, I just helped you in putting your brain back in its right place." He replied, crossing his arms.

Just then, a knock was heard, catching their attention. The door was pushed open and a man who looked like he was in his 50s entered the room, carrying a plastic with food inside. The man may look old but he also looked so refined especially when he was wearing a suit. "Sire, I have brought food."

"Good." Raven turned his gaze back to Violet who was still hugging the pillow. "This is my assistant, Lance Yang. He will be accompanying you while I'm not here. If you need anything, just ask him."

She blinked a few times, "You're leaving?"

He let out a helpless smile upon seeing how relieved she was about him leaving. "I have to attend a meeting."

"Okay. Good luck with that then." She even waved at him as she shooed him.

He heaved out a sigh. Just then, he leaned down to her level all of the sudden, startling her.

Their faces were only a few inches away but she could feel his breath against her face. When he closed in, she thought that he was going to kiss her but he ended up leaning to her ear just to whisper in her ear. "I may not have your heart and body right now, but I have your soul."

The hotness of his breath, the way his whispering voice sounded so sexy against her ear made her blush hard. Her heart even began racing restlessly all because of that!

He pulled away and when he saw her reaction, he let out a satisfied smile on his lips. "Until we meet again, Ms. Violet Song."

As she watched him leave, she suddenly noticed something.

How... How the hell did he know her name?!
