Long nap

There were times where Violet can be easily embarrassed and times where she was this bold in asking for a favor. Lucas couldn't help but get more intrigued by her as he discovered more of her.

He ended up facing her this time and with an amused chuckle, he said, "Your requests are getting weirder and weirder."

The moment their eyes met, he noticed a small blush appearing on her cheeks. With that, he realized how flustered she was when they made eye contact.

How cute... really cute. He thought.

"And I'm getting weird for complying for such a request." Since he was sitting on the floor, he leaned his head forward just enough to let her have a closer look at their eyes. He slightly looked away while his face was facing her just so she won't feel embarrassed.

Now with him close, Violet couldn't help but smile as she once again looked into his beautiful eyes. They really were so pretty, so bewitching; it was as if their roasted-coffee-bean rim had diffused into a cream-hued iris, mixing until it was the color of sun-dried beech wood. For some reason, she couldn't help but feel that his eyes had magic in them. She didn't realize that she unconsciously reached out and touched his cheek, leaning forward just so she could have a closer look.

On the other hand, Lucas maintained his composure when he felt her touch. Although his lips slowly curved into a smile, he even doesn't know why. Since he couldn't hold back the urge to look at her, his pupils moved just to see what kind of expression she was making.

Violet was so focused on his eyes that she didn't realize how close their faces were already. It only made her stare into his eyes when his pupils were now directed to her.

Lucas' smile grew wider at the thought that he now has his own trance in staring into her eyes in return. His own reflection in her beautiful black eyes we're mesmerizing enough for him. She didn't have big, round eyes. Her pointed, slightly slanted eyes somehow looked so sexy and alluring. The more he stared at them, the urge to kiss her grew.

Just as he was about to lean in, occupying the little space between them just so he could kiss her, he was interrupted when a black shadow jumped on Violet's lap, making her pull away.

They both turned just to see Virus, the black cat on Violet's lap. The cat even rubbed his head on her before turning its sharp gaze to Lucas.

Lucas raised a brow and smirked, "What? Jealous?" He chuckled and lightly tapped the cat's nose. "Too bad we'll be married soon."

Violet's heart raced and suddenly grew restless but she tried her best to remain calm. She looked at Virus who was now sitting at her lap, licking its paw. "Uh..." She turned her shy gaze back to Lucas. "Should we get going or do you want to stay longer here?"

"Can I stay longer here?" He asked with no hint of hesitation. "The energy in this place is different than mine. I suddenly want to have a nap..." He yawned a bit before crawled from the floor to the couch. He somehow looked like a cat himself when he did that.

She blinked a few times. She turned towards the wall clock and saw that it was really a perfect time to have a nap. "Well if you say so..." She mumbled and looked at him. "I can prepare the guest room for you, the cats might disturb you."

"Cats usually mirror those who are around them, especially if sleeping. Besides, I think sleeping here is better." He chuckled.

"Alright, if you insist." She carried Virus up in her arms before placing him back down on the ground. She stood up and picked up the tray just to bring it back to the kitchen.

Lucas, on the other hand, laid down on the couch comfortably, his long legs hanging on the edge of it but he did not mind. It did not take long for him to fell asleep.

By the time Violet came back in the living room she saw that Misery and Cream were already making themselves comfortable on top of him as they were about to sleep. Even Grandma laid down comfortably on the carpet below to sleep.

Strange... really strange and yet, the scene before her warmed her heart.

Violet never saw her cats getting along well with her guests, even with Jason whenever he visited her. They would usually ignore them and mind their own business but right now, Lucas was surely attracting her female cats. Could he be handsome in their eyes too?

She decided not to disturb them since they looked like they were having a good time. She looked at the wall clock once again and since it was still early, she decided to give him an hour rest.

She took a book from the bookshelf and sat on the other vacant sofa just to read it to pass time. Not long, maybe it was because of Lucas and the cats, she ended up falling asleep as well.

No one disturbed them, they didn't notice how time flew as they slept.

It was until someone entered the place and saw that scene.

...

Abigail was shocked to see a man inside her best friend's place.

She happened to be Violet's neighbor. There were times where she visited her just to check on her and because of that, Violet gave her a spare key to her place so that she could come and go whenever she wanted.

She was in a dilemma actually. Should she wake them up? What if they just fell asleep? Waking them up would be rude, especially when this wasn't her place.

And so, she left them and headed to the kitchen.

Later on, the two ended up waking up by the sound of something sizzling in the kitchen and the smell of dinner. The cats were awakened by that as well that they started meowing altogether and running off to where the smell was coming from.

A soft yawn came from Violet. Her back was a king a bit because of the weird sleeping position she was in earlier. She had to stretch just to warm up her muscles again. "What..." Before she could ask, she suddenly remembered something. "Oh shit! What time is it already?!"

Her sudden exclamation woke up Lucas. He slowly got up and groggily looked around before he rubbed the sleepiness from his eyes. "What happened?" He asked before letting out a yawn.

Violet snapped her head towards the window and saw that it was already evening. How long did they sleep?!

"I-I forgot to wake you up... I'm so sorry, Lucas!" She apologized while stuttering.

Lucas, who was still dumbfounded replied with a simple, "Eh?"

"Awake? Finally awake?" Abigail said while placing the dinner on the table.
