Future Wife

With her sudden outbursts, Abigail caught the attention of other faculty staff.

"No way! This is impossible!" She tried to keep searching for any kind of scandals that were about her relationship with men but there were none.

She stood up from her seat and was shocked as hell. She never really thought that something like this could happen.

"Maybe a bigshot is one of your fans that's why he's cleaning up your messes." Lucas joked as he looked at her in amusement.

Abigail paused and suddenly thought of that possible. Her fanbase was almost reaching a million. It was impossible to know who they all were.

"The question is: how BIG is this bigshot." Violet followed.

"To be able to keep the media quiet…" Abigail knew that it was impossible to keep them quiet. One way or another, some of her scandals should slip through, right?

Just who what kind of person has this power? She didn't know if she should consider herself lucky. If there was a person with this kind of influence then that means that there was a possibility that all her movements are being monitored. She shuddered at the thought. What a dangerous stalker…

Violet stood up and patted her best friend's shoulder, "You're so beautiful that even a god is taking care of you."

"Or it could be a devil that's trying to make a good impression on you," added Lucas.

Abigail rolled her eyes at what they said. It was neither some god or devil, it was just a crazy rich stalker. "I don't feel like going out with Jasper tonight." She sighed. She needed to be careful and start looking for whoever was behind this.

"By the way, what's that?" The man leaned over just to peek at the paper Violet was holding. "Students names?"

"I'll tell you about this later." She kept the paper and looked at her friend, "Should we head home together?"

"Yeah, sure. I'll feel safer if I'll head back with you."

"I was planning to ask Vivi here for dinner tho…" Lucas mumbled with a small pout on his lips.

"You can always ask her next ti-"

"Excuse me?" Another teacher came and interrupted their group.

"Teacher Hei, we'll be holding a welcome party for you this coming Friday night, you should come." The female teacher said with her cheeks flushed.

"Sure, I would love to." He replied with a grin.

Being the new teacher and with his handsome looks, he was obviously able to get the attention of other female teachers. They have been trying to get close with him but he was easily brushing them off.

Violet didn't always visit the faculty office. The only person she was the closest to was Abigail. As for the other staff members, instead of friends, they were only treating each other as acquaintances. It wasn't only the students who have a hard time approaching her but also most of the faculty staff. She rarely attended gatherings with them unless it was mandatory.

The female teacher, Teacher Lin took a quick glance and smiled, "Since it's a welcoming party for Teacher Hei, Ms. Song, you're not allowed to skip it okay?"

Before Violet could even answer to her remark, Lucas took the words out of her mouth, "Of course my future wife will come. It's my welcoming party after all."

"F-Future wife?"

The female teachers that were eyeing and eavesdropping on their conversation were all surprised by how he addressed Violet.

"A-Are you dating Ms. Song?" Teacher Lin couldn't help but ask.

This time, even the other older teachers were intrigued by his confession.

"I am courting her." Lucas was careful with his answer. He knew that it wouldn't do good for Violet if he replied that they were dating. It was just not too long ago when Violet's marriage was canceled.

Everyone was puzzled of course. Why would an attractive person like him like a normal-looking person like Violet? Everyone knew how distant and quiet she was. In fact, it would be more acceptable if Lucas ended up liking Abigail instead.

"I'm starving. Let's go, Vivi." Abigail grabbed her bag and dragged her best friend out of the room just to help her escape the sudden awkwardness in the room.

"Hey, wait for me!" Lucas followed without giving a second glance to the people in the room.
