From her mother's name

While the trio was still choosing at the food menu in a restaurant Abigail suggested, Violet told Lucas about the students when he reminded her by asking what were those students names were about. While they were having a conversation on what to do, someone interrupted them.

"I never thought that we'll be meeting here." The handsome silver-haired man said with a Cheshire grin on his lips the moment he landed his eyes on the third-wheeler of the couple; Abigail. "And it seems like you brought a friend?"

Abigail's eyes widened in disbelief when she saw the man who rarely showed his face on social media: Raven Xie. She never thought that she would be meeting Violet's uncle like this.

Before she could say a word, Violet leaned close to her to whisper in her ear, "Just so you know, he is married so you better not drop your panty for him."

Abigail turned to the woman beside her and whispered back with a disappointed look on her face, "He's married? You should have said so back then."

"I didn't want to break your heart at once." She replied.

"Ahem," Raven cleared his throat just to get the attention of the girls but for some reason, they noticed his ears become red.

Were their whispers too loud for him to hear? Nah, that was impossible, right?

"By the way, my name is Abigail Ye. It's a pleasure to finally meet you, Mr. Xie."

Raven was quiet for a second as he stared down at the beautiful smile the woman flashed him. "The pleasure is mine, Ms. Ye." He replied, even giving her a slight curtsy.

"What are you doing here?" The quiet Lucas finally asked, interrupting the two."

"I just came from meeting a business partner. I was about to leave but I saw your group."

"Since you're here, why don't you join us and accompany me in third-wheeling with these two?" Abigail invited but as soon as she did, she felt a light nab on her arm. She turned and saw Violet giving her a warning glare.

"What? It's not like I'm going to make a move on him. He's married." She whispered.

"Ah-huh. Make sure you don't."

"Well, if you don't mind having me, then I'll gladly take you up for that offer." Raven pulled the seat that was beside Lucas, opposite Abigail's, and sat there.

On the other hand, Lucas began to feel uncomfortable with Raven joining them. He was quiet because of the sudden pressure he felt coming from the other man. It was the same kind of feeling coming from a father who was meeting his son-in-law for the first time. He may be smiling at the girls in front of them but Lucas was suffocating.

What has gotten into him?

"You should leave," said Raven a low voice for only Lucas to hear.

Huh? Why should he leave? This man was being so unreasonable.

"Have you eaten already?" Violet asked Raven, interrupting whatever was going on between the two men.

"I didn't eat much earlier so I'll be ordering again." The man replied with a gentle smile.

"Great!" Abigail exclaimed. She looked at the menu and grinned, "This looks good." She pointed at a picture of the food with the name written on the side. "This one too."

"Seems like you want to eat whatever you lay your eyes on," Raven commented, chuckling lightly as he watched her choose.

Abigail paused and lifted her head just to look at him without saying a word.

Once again, Raven's ear became red and he ended up averting his eyes from hers. "…"

Violet sighed as she watched her friend tease the guy. She reached to her side under the table just to give her a light slap on her leg as if telling her to behave.

Abigail pouted and mumbled, "What? He's the one who started it."

"Seriously…" She turned her gaze back to the menu list.

Once everyone was done choosing, they called for the waitress to order their food.

"So, Mr. Xie, I heard that you are a married man. What kind of woman is your wife?" Abigail shamelessly asked.

"A perfect wife," Raven answered as he looked into her eyes with a loving smile.

The woman paused and unconsciously shrank back at the way he looked at her. For some reason, she felt uncomfortable. "O-oh…"

"I apologize for my friend's rudeness, Raven." Violet interfered.

"It's fine. I don't think she was being rude tho, just curious, right Ms. Ye?"

"Y-Yeah! I was just being curious." She huffed. She continued with her interview, "Is she a celebrity? A daughter of a rich family?"

"A celebrity." He replied.

"Oh, so that's why you didn't want to make your marriage public huh? If she's a celebrity then she must be a big one! I guess both of you likes to keep your personal lives low profile." She paused and tried to think of female celebrities that like to keep a low-profile when it came to their personal lives. "How lucky~ Do you have kids with her?"

"I have a daughter."

"Really? What's her name?"

"Lily."

"Oh! From her mother's name, Liliana, right?" Violet was the one who spoke this time.

Raven turned to her with a gentle gaze, "Yes, from her mother."
