"Not bad, even if my spiritual power is less than 2nd seat, I shouldn't have a problem going against a Lieutenant-class thanks to my combat instincts." Maya muttered, taking a seat in the cave she found, as she twirled her military cap with her finger.
Digging her katana that was in her other hand into the cave floor, her gaze once again wondered along her status, it was time to address some inconsistencies surrounding herself.
For one, she was self-confident. Don't get her wrong, it wasn't as if she wasn't before, after all, how else was she able to get girls in her be—*Cough!* Anyways, unlike before, her self-confidence seemed to border arrogance, the weird thing was that if felt natural, just like fighting and killing was.
Her overwhelming killing intent…That too was something that shouldn't be coming from her…It might be because of Shura, but then again, it didn't say it would give her deadly killing intent: Your nature, the limitless bloodlust within you and the endless bodies you leave in your wake can all be expressed as a violent aura that impresses your malice and experience upon others.
Experience was the keyword, and experience in killing was something that Maya didn't have…At least that's what she believed, until now.
She eyed the name written in brackets for a moment, before asking, "System, what's the current date?"

"Am I the Oda Nobunaga of this universe?" She asked the conclusion she had come to, which would explain her fifty per cent assimilation rate, and dense killing intent, personality too. She also didn't forget how she unconsciously referred to herself as 'Demon King'.

"I would make that a hundred per cent, the outfit feels comfortable after all," She joked, glancing at her military uniform which Archer Nobu wore in fate, except with the cape missing.
Her eyes then drifted to her titles, another reason why she had assumed she was Nobunaga, "By the way, are these titles there to boost my ego, or do they have some sort of effects?"
[They indeed have effects, and if looking at them boosts your ego, then you can consider that an effect too.]
"Just show me the damn thing." Maya urged, she didn't want to sit around all day, or night? Hueco Mundo was a confusing place.

"I see…" Maya nodded, before pulling out the Hollow Essence from inventory. It was a medium sized vial with black liquid that had a magneta sheen.

Description: A potent substance derived from the soul of a Hollow's soul. When consumed or infused, it allows the user to tap into the strength and abilities of a Hollow without the risk of Soul Suicide.
The term 'Distinctive' comes from the fact that this specific Essence can grant you the abilities of the slain Tsukimaru temporarily.

"So, basically, it's like soul steroids with a side of spiritual identity crisis. Lovely. Next thing you know, I'll be hosting tea parties with my inner Hollow." She shook her head, amused by the thought, before throwing the vial into her inventory.
Maya glanced around the cave, considering her options. Despite not feeling physically tired after her recent bout with the Adjucha Hollow, she knew the importance of rest, especially in a place as unpredictable as Hueco Mundo.
Night or not, danger always lurked.
"I guess a short rest won't hurt, what's the worst that can happen? A Vasto Lorde appearing in the Forest of Menos? Unlikely." Taking a deep breath, she got up and summoned the same chains she used in the fight, courtesy of her Essence of Dominator.
Each end had a spike on it which she pierced into the wall of the cave until the entrance was blocked, leaving only enough space for air to come through.
With her makeshift barricade complete, Maya returned to her seat, however she glanced at the cave floor for a moment. It wasn't the most comfortable place to rest, so why not make it better?
With that thought, she imagined a hundred—no, a thousand ribbons, and lo and behold, they appeared in the spot she was sitting.
"This will do." She made herself comfortable, nodding to herself in satisfaction now that she couldn't feel the hard floor.
[You do know that Hollows will still sense your presence, right?]
Maya hummed in acknowledgment, "Which is why I'll also use this chance to meditate."
[How ironic.]
The system was very amused by that, even the Buddha wouldn't ever think that a Shura would meditate.
And Maya understood this, yet she knew the importance of finding balance within oneself, even amidst chaos and conflict.
Indulging in too much of one thing was never good, even if the essence said that she wouldn't suffer the negative consequences of bloodshed and combat.
Balance was key.
Closing her eyes, she focused her mind, letting the rhythmic flow of her breath guide her into a state of calm. But before she could go any further, she felt her nose itch and…
"Achoo!" Rubbing her nose, she raised an eyebrow, "Is Aria talking about me or something?" Shrugging, she once again closed her eyes.

Maya focused on her breathing, letting the rhythmic inhales and exhales guide her thoughts away from the chaotic nature of her surroundings.
