Path of Revenge?

"This was... not expected. Actually, it's the biggest problem right now."

Looking down at her hands as they began you fade in and out, Justice could only sigh. Her eyes lifted back to her sister, currently Noa.

"So... how screwed am I?"

"Sweetie... you're practically fucked, not in the good way I might add. Being an undead is always hellish in Relian. Vampires are good for something, but even they are critically weak in the sun. You... well I don't even know what you are."

"I'm a Revenant. A spirit of revenge, although their lore shouldn't adhere to me. Not now anyways. I'm not evil or anything."

Symphony's eyes lit up.

"A Revenant?! You're not kidding, are you?! Vampires are damn strong, sure, but a Revenant is nothing to sneeze at. Fire, water and holy magic may become a problem, but I'm sure your Vengeance Set will save your cute ass."

Capable of only a soft glare, Justice looked down at the system message.

[Congratulations on becoming a Revenant, a spirit driven by revenge.

"It seems I need to get more magic power now. Vengeance Knight has magic, I hope."

Justice began to pout slightly as she reached for Symphony, her fingers passing through the automaton.

"A-ah... this kinda sucks. Hmph..."

Justice ripped her hand back in time for her fingers to brush against Symphony's body. Smiles crossed their lips as they crossed their fingers together.

"Mai is really nice, ain't she? Good work little sis! Hehe."

"Still, launching a surprise arrow from, well, Mai knows where? I could've sworn we were being attacked by another player or something."

Rosa could only shake her head as she watched the three girls, but even she smiled as they began to bond together as a party.

"Well lookie here boys! We got a group of very fine, very beautiful women. All I can say, we would love to take you out to dinner. Whatcha say?"

His voice brought the girls to their senses, each looking between themselves until they began to laugh. The man, shorter than Justice, came closer with an annoyed look on his face.

"Fine. You wanna play like that, how's bout I fight one of ya? I win, I get me a date. How bout it? By the by, the date ends with us taking a long and hot couple hours in the bedroom."

Justice could only sigh as she stared down at him.

"You can only do something like that if you're legally married. Otherwise, you're just yammering. Now buzz off so I can deal with my set."

As she turned to walk away, a long spear shit out from under her arm. The blade barely missed her, but she could already feel that her attacks would be heavily powered up.

"For the love of... Sym! Come here."

Symphony bounced her way over, her body quickly cuddled up to Justice.

"Much better. I'll need all the closeness I can since you'll be making me a weapon soon."

Her assailant wasn't too pleased, so he swung his spear overhead. Justice quickly moved Symphony behind her, sidestepping the strike. Her eyes narrowed, deep black circles forming around them as she forced the man to become her first target for Curse.

"W-what? Wait! Stop, stop!"

As he spoke, he lashed out and even struck himself. Before long, his body pixelated before them, leaving three girls to just stare at Justice with wide eyes.

"Uh... so don't piss off my sister. Holy shit."

Noa was left with her mouth agape, leaving Rosa on the sidelines to the lift it back shut.

"Wasn't he talking to some other guys?"

Justice looked around, her eyes falling on none.

"Ran away?"

Shrugging softly, Justice and her party began to make their plans.

-

"Are you sure they all met up?"

With a quick grunt, the man nodded. He was kneeling before a woman, a hood pulled over her head.

"Hmm. This new Admin, I'm guessing she's trying to grow in strength? Send some more of your men. Keep me posted, then be prepared to take care of things should the plan go awry."

The man got to his feet, turning swiftly and leaving without a word. A few others followed, silent to the last. When she was alone, she stomped her foot as a deep sigh came from her lips.

"These four seem promising, but can they truly win with the fifth out of reach? Oh well, I'll be needing to save my strength for any upcoming battles."
