9 Chapter 9: The Fire of Civilization (1)

In the past thirty or forty years since the emergence of the human race, the population rose from three thousand to five thousand people, people were continuously dying from disease and beast attacks, which caused a population cap.

If not for this cap, then the population of the human race would have long reached ten thousand or even more. From the first generation of the human race, only a few hundred people were left, they were killed by beasts, or died because of diseases and plagues.

The barren land was full of countless dangers, poisonous insects and beasts, and forbidden areas, no one knew when they would die, so they were only allowed to cherish the living, and for the dead, they could merely grieve for a short while, and then continue to reproduce for the improvement of their race, making the new generation dedicate themselves to the protection of the older generation.

This is the status quo of the major intelligent races in the barbaric period.

The bodies of the deceased were buried in the cemetery next to the tribe, then the people, led by the chief of the tribe "Yuan" and the high priest "Xi", prayed for the soul of the deceased to return to the embrace of "Hao Tian".

The two perfect beings created by Mu Yuan, "Yuan" and "Xi" are still at the peak of their physical quality, although they are already 50 or 60 years old, so they naturally become the chief and high priest of the tribe with great prestige and power.

Decades ago, "Hao Tian" created everything in heaven and earth and created the human race. He is the Creator of everything.

So if their souls can return to the embrace of "Hao tian" after death, it would be the highest honor.

In this barbaric world, almost all intelligent races have their own beliefs, their own beliefs in "heaven" or "gods".

As to why the human race will call the creator "Hao Tian", perhaps it is because they feel the subconsciousness of Mu Yuan in the dark ...

Deep in the tribe, at the entrance of a cave by a waterfall, a sacred statue of a god several feet high sits on a rock altar, carved by the first generation of people based on the back of the "Hao Tian" they saw and their imagination of their God, "Hao Tian".

A bonfire burns to dispel the darkness and bring light to the tribe, deterring the predators in the wilderness and being the light and joy of the human tribe.

At the foot of the statue were several unconscious beasts from the hunt, including a clouded leopard, a black bear, and so on.

At the command of the chief, the human men standing next to the beasts, holding sharpened stone knives or bone knives, cut off the heads of the beasts, spilling the hot blood on the ground, and then placed the heads respectfully at the feet of the idol to worship the statue of Hao Tian.

Afterward, the high priestess "Xi" led several priestesses around the campfire and danced a wild ritual dance, singing words of praise and supplication to "Haotian", praising him for giving the human race a place to live and abundant food, and praying that "Hao tian" allow the tribe to flourish under he everlasting watch.

When the ritual was over, the tribe, both young and old, sitting around the campfire with roasted meat, everlasting laughter, constant singing, and dancing, this was the most religious festival for the tribe.

  ...

Mu Yuan's will enveloped the entire Yuan world, observing the major intelligent races struggling for their survival and reproduction in the barren land.

He observed them building houses, making crude animal skin clothing, making crude weapons and tools.

He has seen them hunting wild animals, picking wild fruits, and cutting down trees amid stormy seas.

He has seen them slaying beasts in the wilderness, dying of disease, and rejoicing in the birth of newborn children.

The awe of seeing fire on wood for the first time, the joy of eating cooked food for the first time, seeing the light in the darkness for the first time, taking the initiative to drill wood to start and raise fore.

The fire of civilization shines on the land with brightness and exuberance, taking civilization to a new level in the Yuan world.

The Elves' Starlight Forest, the Sea Clan's Thousand Star Islands, the Feather Clan's Floating Cloud Mountains, the Rock Clan's Ten Thousand Stone Forest, and the Human Clan's Tian Yuan Valley ...

Each tribe is distributed in all parts of the Yuan world, each race is thousands or even tens of thousands of miles away! For hundreds of years, Mu Yaun watched each tribe explore the vicinity of their ancestral lands, hunting beasts and prospering.

...

Mu Yuan continually sends a source of the world's crystal wall into the continent by absorbing the power of the void which makes the Yuan world expand every moment, which also makes the time of the meeting between the tribes increase infinitely, and the chance grows slimmer and slimmer each day.

As the population continued to increase, the prey in and around Tianyuan Valley was no longer enough for the daily consumption of the huge human population, so the human tribes continued to split up over the past few hundred years, dividing into five tribes which moved into separate locations.

In the first hundred years, when the human population reached 10,000 after overcoming the population cap, the warrior of the human tribe at that time, "Mang", led thousands of human tribesmen to the west, and finally found a basin with an area of tens of square kilometers at the edge of the Tianshan Mountains, a hundred miles away from Tian Yuan Valley.

It was the best choice for the establishment of a new tribe as it had abundant water, rich soil, and countless wild animals that we were able to support thousands of people.

Some people following Mungs' example led their expiration to open up new territories and establishing new human tribes in all directions.

Three of these tribes, Hong, Yan, and Xing, were established in the Tianxuan Mountains in the east, the Tianwu Forest in the south, and the Tianhe Plain in the north of Tianyuan Valley. The "Mang" tribe in the west, together with the "Mang" tribe to protect the territory of the human race.

Eventually, the Tian Yuan Valley was the center, of a couple of hundred square miles of land, this area become the territory of the human race.

Most of the other races are also like the human race, adventuring past ancestral lands, and developing new territories, their civilization wasn't as developed as the humans.

Of course, as giants and other sparsely populated races or elemental races such as the Yan tribe are affected by the region, can only be limited to the ancestral land, civilization development simply can not develop anything.

In addition to opening up new territories and establishing more tribes, each tribe invented its ethnic writing and language, and the tribes began to communicate with each other, and trade for resources.

They began to grow food and tame wild animals and breed livestock, burn pottery and make ceremonial vessels, and even extract ore from some bronze veins exposed in the ground to make bronze artifacts.

Many races are slowly changing from hunting civilization to agricultural civilization, and the fire of civilization spreads throughout the Yuan world!

Some races even developed more rapidly for other reasons, entering city-state civilization and slave civilization, such as the races in the north of the continent.

Nearly half of the northwestern part of the continent was occupied by the various tribes of orcs. When the Heavenly Dao, Mu Yuan created the orc race, the ancestral lands of each tribe were placed in places not far away from each other, from a few hundred miles near to thousand of miles away.

With hundreds of years of reproduction, the various tribes of orcs, whose reproductive capacity is no less than that of the human race and even stronger, gradually discovered the existence of other orc races when they were looking for new tribes.

Initially, the orcs were very surprised by the existence of other intelligent races, and without knowing the strength of the other side, both sides were cautious not to communicate too much, and only went to look for other places where they could breed.

But some territories had prey and resources abundant, so they began competing for food and survival space, the friction and conflict between the various tribes of orcs got larger and larger until the first war this world has ever seen began.
