Chapter two telling mom and dad

"Mom, Dad". Kai said. "I'm leaving Aqua Haven."

"WHAT"! His parents yelled.

"YOU CAN'T JUST LEAVE KAI!" His father said.

His mother gave him a stern look. "You can't just abandon Aqua Haven!"

Kai was starting to get angry. "IM NOT ABANDONING IT!" He shouted. "I'M TRYING TO SAVE IT!"

His dad scoffed. "With a bunch of rookie Water-type Pokémon?"

"Yes"! Kai yelled. "With a bunch of Water-type Pokémon."

His dad started pacing. "It's a fool's errand Kai, you'll never make Aqua Haven into a National Park."

Kai glared at his dad. "WELL I'M GONNA TRY".

Kai's mother spoke up. "But where would the other Pokémon go, Kai?

Kai sighed. " I'll become a champion and make Aqua Haven a National Park."

Kai's dad burst out laughing, but when he saw Kai's determined expression, he stopped. " You cant become champion, you're just a kid! Not only that but you'd only have twelve months to accomplish it. Kai, think rationally for a second!"

Kai was starting to get really mad. " I'M BEING COMPLETELY RATIONAL!"

His dad scoffed. " Becoming Champion in twelve months is completely irrational. Kai, think about this, please. We can find a good place for the Pokémon to move to, a safe place. Why throw your life away on a pipe dream?"

Kai felt his blood boil. "NO YOUR NOT YOUR JUST SELL OUTS BoTh of you! His voice cracked as tears threatened to spill over. " Aqua Haven is our HOME, and now its being sold off to some rich developers so that they can make a quick buck. And you're just going along with it! Its disgusting, both of you. Kai was fuming with anger.

"THIS IS OUR HOME, AND I'M NOT JUST GONNA SIT BY AND WATCH IT GET DESTROYED"!

His parents were stunned into silence by the outburst.

"I'll become a champion, and I'll make Aqua Haven a national park. Kai glared at his dad.

" YOU WEREN'T EVEN GOING TO TELL ME UNTIL THE SALE WAS FINALIZED WERE YOU"!

His dad was silent, unable to meet his son's eyes.

"I'll make Aqua Haven a national park". Kai stormed off.

"YOU CAN'T JUST LEAVE KAI". His father yelled, chasing after him.

Slamming the door Kai ran off into the woods.
