Chapter 1: Farewell to Aqua Haven

The morning sun painted the sky in hues of pink and orange as Kai emerged from the cozy cabin nestled within Aqua Haven. With tousled hair and determined eyes, he greeted the dawn with a sense of purpose that belied the turmoil brewing within him. For years, this tranquil sanctuary had been his home, a haven where he found solace among the gentle ripples of the ponds and the laughter of Water-type Pokémon.

Stepping outside, Kai inhaled the crisp morning air, letting the familiar scent of dew-dampened grass wash over him. His heart swelled with affection as he watched the Pokémon of Aqua Haven begin their daily routines. A group of playful Squirtles splashed in the shallows, while a graceful Vaporeon basked in the warmth of the sun's rays. A school of Goldeen cut through the water's surface, their shimmering scales refracting the light into a kaleidoscope of colors.

But as Kai surveyed his surroundings, he noticed that something was amiss. The air was filled with a sense of melancholy, as if something was going to be horrible wrong. The usually boisterous Squirtles were playing quietly, and the Vaporeon was gazing forlornly into the distance. Even the normally carefree Goldeen were swimming with a sense of urgency, as if trying to escape an invisible threat. Possible threats came into his mind "Did the Sharpedo get out again"? Kai wondered, referring to a particularly rowdy Sharpedo who often made mischief around Aqua Haven. But after a few minutes of searching, Kai found the Sharpedo lounging peacefully on the surface of the water, his sharp fins glinting in the sunlight.

"I'd better talk to Mom and Dad," Kai thought, the weight of the situation settling on his shoulders. "They'll know what's going on."

With a sense of trepidation, Kai made his way to the small office at the edge of Aqua Haven, his footsteps heavy with foreboding. The sound of muffled voices and hushed arguments reached his ears, confirming his fears. Pushing the door open, Kai's heart sank at the scene before him. His parents were deep in discussion with a suited businessman, their faces lined with tension.

"Mom, Dad?" Kai called, his voice shaking. "What's going on?"

"Kai!" His father exclaimed, turning towards him with a strained expression. "What are you doing here?

Kai's quite voice shook with emotion. "I could ask you the same question."

The words hung heavily in the air, before his mother finally spoke, her voice weary. "We didn't want to tell you, Kai, but Aqua Haven is being sold to developers. The sale was finalized just yesterday. The new owners plan on building luxury condos here, and the Pokémon have to go."

Kai felt the blood drain from his face as her words sank in. "BUT WHERE WOULD THEY GO"! His thoughts were racing.

Kai's father gave a deep sigh. "That's what we've been arguing about for the past hour."

The suited businessman, who had been silent up to this point, finally spoke up.

"Actually I was planning on building next week but sense Arrangements must be made for the Pokemon ill give you". He looked at Kai's dad with a hard expression "until next year."

Kai's dad gave the businessman an almost unnoticeable glare but thanked him with a forced smile. The man nodded and walked off to go look at something.

"Why do they get a year"!

Kai was livid but held back the tears threatening to spill over.

His mom gave him a tired look. "I know, sweetie, but it's all we could get."

Kai knew it wasn't his parents' fault but the anger was still there. He was angry at the new owners, for not seeing the value of Aqua Haven beyond its commercial potential. He was angry at the development company, for their greed and insensitivity.

Show how angry he is

Kai felt the anger building in him, but he knew that it wouldn't change anything. "It's just so unfair!" He exclaimed. "All these Pokémon have lived here their whole lives, and now they have to go."

He turned to his parents, a desperate plea in his eyes. "Isn't there anything we can do to save Aqua Haven? I'll help! Maybe I could make flyers or do fundraising or something. His dad spoke up he had a derisive tone in his voice " Oh please the only thing that could keep this place running if it's made into a national treasure land or a museum."

Kai felt his heart sink, knowing his father was right. They had tried everything, but it wasn't enough. He felt helpless, knowing that no amount of protesting or campaigning could change the situation.

"Ill be back mom, dad." Kai said, trying not to break down. He hugged them before walking away towards his cabin. His parents said their farewells as he walked away from the life he knew. Kai wiped his tears and tried to make sense of this.

His eyes welled up with tears at the thought of leaving behind everything he'd ever known, but Kai knew that he couldn't stay in Aqua Haven any longer. He packed a bag with some essentials and set out into enclosure 2b where all pokemon can go to interact with anyone. Pulling out a Loud speaker Kai cleared his throat. "Everyone come over to 2b entrance please." The pokemon looked confused but still complied. He began talking to the crowd. "Aqua Haven has been sold, we will have to leave in 12 months." The crowd erupted into a panicked uproar. Kai quickly took out a sheet of paper. "This is the plan i made." He took a deep breath and spoke. "I want to go on an adventure to make this place a national park, it could save everyone."

The Pokemon started shouting out at once, asking if Kai had lost his mind, saying that it was impossible, that they should just give up, but Kai simply took another breath and kept going.

He explains that he could only take stage one pokemon because his trainer id didn't have clearance for anything higher

"I've got an outline of how we can make this happen, but it's going to take hard work and dedication. I'm going to need some help if we're going to stand a chance."

He turned to a large group of Water-type Pokémon and pointed out a specific few. "Psyduck, Mudkip and Carvana, do you guys wanna come with me on a journey to help make this place a national park?" The three Pokémon looked at each other then at Kai and nodded. Kai smiled and hugged each one.

He looked around to the other pokemon "If you guys wanna join us we would appreciate your help!" A large group of pokemon nodded and began to join him. Kai gave them all a hug, happy that they would help him.

With the Pokemon he could get his hands on, Kai had gathered a small but determined team of Water-type Pokémon he had to keep in mind that until he get a badge his options were limited.

1. Mudkip

2.psyduck

3. carvanha

Next it was time to tell his parents he was leaving.
