1 Prologue

Niklaus Mikaelson makes no sudden movements as he sits up. The original hybrid had just woken up after two days of being free of his curse. Now, he feels as if he was dropped from the ceiling into a pitch black room without any knowledge of what the hell is going on. He was having such a good day too.

Right as he was making his way back to his own two feet, Klaus heard what sounded like grunts of pain alongside yelps of terror due to the ever present blackness that engulfed the room that they were all now trapped in. Klaus was about to make himself known, by yelling out to whoever decided they could kidnap the original hybrid, when the lights finally in the, now that they could see it, large theater-like room.

When he looked around at all of the occupants he was more than displeased. The first unfortunate face he saw was none other than the doppelgänger. He could barely hold in a groan of disgust when he realized that with the always annoying doppelgänger came her rag-tag group of friends/lovers a certain someone in his life had dubbed "The Scooby Doo Gang." However, what made him freeze in his place was something he definitely wasn't expecting. Across the room were the rest of the Original family. All undaggered. All awake. He took this all in as quickly as he could without completely losing his mind. Luck was not on his side this time and from one second to the next Niklaus Mikaelson had three of his siblings either holding him against a wall, threatening him with death, or in Finn's case, just staring at him blankly not saying a word.

"So, what year is it now brother?" Kol Mikaelson, the one dubbed as the "psychotic" original was the first to speak in the room full of supernaturals. He was also the one currently holding Klaus against the wall.

Before Klaus could respond his only sister spoke up first, "Yes, I believe all of us would like to know that piece of information Nik." She snarled at her older brother.

As Klaus was going to answer he was once again interrupted. However, this time it was his older brother Elijah ever trying to play peacemaker between his siblings. "Rebekah, Kol, Finn." He addressed each sibling individually before continuing, "I believe all questions will be answered once we figure out what we are all doing here." As he finished his statement he turned and gestured to everyone else in the room who had remained quiet until now.

"This isn't over." Kol growled out before roughly letting go of his older brother and taking several steps away as if to try and cool his temper.

Klaus, now that his family was placated for the time being, looked around the room once more. Upon his inspection he saw someone who he had tried to keep hidden from the Mystic Falls residents for as long as possible. Leaning against a far wall analyzing everything within the room and its occupants was none other than Åse Mikaelson. Known around the supernatural world as "Gravedigger," but better known to Klaus as his wife.

The two of them had now made eye contact and almost instantaneously Klaus walked away from his family and to where his wife was standing. He made the move to hug her since he hadn't directly seen his wife in what felt like an eternity. This plan ended up falling through though because she reached out via mind link and spoke to him instead.

"As much as I would love to hug you Nik, it would raise unwanted suspicion. It would probably be best if we just look like good friends until we figure out what the hell is going on around here." Åse "spoke" with authority, yet there was a well hidden softness that she only allowed to seep through because of who she was speaking to. Klaus nodded almost imperceptibly so that no one but Åse could tell the action even happened.

It was at this time that the married couple turned around to see everyone in the room glancing at each other wondering how to address the situation they were all thrust into. The Scooby Gang all collectively turned towards Klaus. Elena deciding to be brave, even though she and everybody else with her knew she was supposed to be dead, spoke up and asked the question, "What did you do Klaus? Was killing Jenna in front of my eyes not enough revenge already?"

Åse quietly snorted and discreetly rolled her eyes as to not bring attention to herself. Not that she didn't love attention, but for the time being she's decided to remain in the background.

Klaus decided he didn't want to dignify the doppelgänger with a response otherwise he might just rip her head from her body without a second thought. Which, now that he thought about it, sounded like a great idea.

While Elena's question did go unanswered she succeeded in drawing attention to herself after speaking up. The other originals, bar Elijah, had looked over and all frozen for a few seconds before questions formed in all their minds.

Sensing his siblings questioning glances Elijah spoke out to clear the air, "Yes, this is the newest doppelgänger. So if you could refrain from killing her..." The second oldest Mikaelson trailed off while sending his two youngest siblings a stern look that they both just brushed off with a roll of their eyes.

Everyone within the shrunken theater had begun to get antsy because the lack of information on what was happening. Different groups were having quiet conversations, but nothing was really happening. Finally, and to almost no one's surprise, Klaus broke through the quiet chatter by yelling out towards to ceiling, "IF SOMEONE DOESN'T START GIVING ME INFORMATION ON WHAT THE HELL IS HAPPENING PEOPLE ARE GOING TO START DYING!"

Pretty much everyone in the room was startled by Klaus' outburst. Some were actually frightened, others were annoyed, and Åse? Well she was just looking around bored as if she hadn't heard anything.

As unnecessary as Klaus' yelling may have seemed to most of the room, it did end up getting results. This being because behind everyone on the large projector screen a message popped up addressing everyone present.

Dear everyone,

You all have been brought here to watch the future. Yes, the future. Before the ones with paranoia try and deny this fact just think about everything supernatural existing and then reconsider.

The future needs to be seen because a lot of you are going to die and/or cause many deaths that could otherwise be saved. Now that you are here it would be best if you try and prevent these deaths from occurring.

You may sit wherever you like. Just introduce yourselves beforehand. Also there will be a couple rooms off to the side to provide food, restrooms, and somewhere to take out any pent up rage.

One more thing. Time will be temporarily stopped so nobody will need to sleep and when you return to your life it will be like nothing changed.

Sincerely,

Someone who wants a brighter future

Once the screen turned dark again everyone in the room turned back around stunned into silence. Gathering that no one was going to speak up first Elijah decide to be the one to break the ice.

"I suppose I will go first then. My name is Elijah Mikaelson." The second oldest original speaking up prompted the rest of his family to do the same.

"Kol Mikaelson"

"Rebekah Mikaelson"

"Finn Mikaelson"

The four siblings looked over to Klaus who they thought to be the last Mikaelson that would introduce themself. Klaus however just rolled his eyes and said, "They already know who I am. Don't they Elijah?" The older of the two didn't respond verbally but he did nod his head. This left the rest of their siblings confused and looking between their brothers for an explanation. Neither was going to say anything but even if they were someone else was already speaking up.

"Damon Salvatore. The older, hotter, better brother." A tall dark haired man spoke up with a smirk that seemed to be permanently plastered on his face.

The Scooby Gang collectively rolled their eyes at the older Salvatore but didn't speak out against him. All of them wanting to avoid conversation with him at the moment. The next to introduce themself was a bit of a surprise to a certain female blonde Original.

"Stefan Salvatore. Damon's younger brother." Rebekah immediately looked over at the younger Salvatore and said, "Stefan? Is that you?" Said man looked over at the question but was confused because he had no idea who the woman was or how she knew him. "Sorry, do I know you?" Instead of responding, Rebekah turned to the only one who she knew would do something dastardly like mess with her love life. "Nik, what did you do?" Klaus having figured this was coming looked to his sister and said, "What I had to do." Rebekah was infuriated by this, of course she was, but she refused to respond to her brother over this matter.

The next few introductions came quickly and without interruption.

"Caroline Forbes."

"Bonnie Bennet"

"Matt Donovan"

"Alaric Saltzman"

"Jeremy Gilbert"

"Tyler Lockwood"

And finally, the last of the Scooby Gang was "Elena Gilbert"

This made Åse turn to look at her husband with an eyebrow raised asking her silent question: "This is the dopplebitch?" Klaus, understanding his wife's look gave her a single nod in return. This exchange was not overlooked by a certain suited Original.

Åse seeing Elijah's look quickly gained the attention of the room. "My name is Åse. I'm sure you will find out more about me in the future." At the sound of her voice all of the Original's, bar Klaus, gave her confused looks. Rolling her eyes Åse quickly sent a message to all of them through her mind. "None of them know who I am and I'd like to keep it that way for as long as possible." They all gave short nods of understanding and then glanced away to not seem suspicious.

After everyone was introduced they slowly made their way to their seats around the room. There was a clear divide between groups with Elena and her group on one side and the Originals and Åse spread out on the the other. Klaus and Åse, even with their relationship still hidden, sat next to each other and somewhat distanced from the rest of the Original family.

Once everything was settled the lights turned out and the screen flashed back on and everyone collectively took a deep breath.

No one was truly prepared for what they were going to see.
