Now you might think that being in a novel is cool and all but that's only when you know the whole story. You see in Kaia's case, he only read the summary of the novel. His little sister in his previous life was the one who was into web novels. So he didn't know the content of the story he was in.

Worst case was that he didn't know when or how he's going to die. As time went on the day of the audition finally came and he went to the venue, all the while without telling Julian. The audition was held in Grande Auditorium. A place where many plays and dance and musical recitals were held. The director was none other than Bryan Colt. Although Bryan was almost 80, he still produced many award winning films and dramas. A new face and raw talent he said while he was looking for his actors for this project.

The pressure was high and many young men like Kaia himself were there to give a shot. Laila was also there on the judging panel so she could only cheer for Kaia secretly. The audition went smoothly, lots of talent were there, some were natural born actors while some needs a bit of work. Finally it was time for Kaia's turn. And he simply chose a scene where the character confronts the female lead.

"Why...", He began with a bit of sadness and a hint of anger, "why couldn't it be me?... Ever since we were kids I have always been by your side. Not him but me so why is it that you can't see me? What am I doing wrong? Please I wanna know what I did wrong... I simply just loved you..." The dialogue hit a nerve in Kaia, he could understand this feeling so well, at some point his eyes began to tear up. This emotions was his own not the character's.

The room was silent as the judges took an eagle eye to the person on stage. After a while, Laila finally said, "Cut!".
