It was another cold night much like the day Kaia met Julian. Only difference is that time he was staying in his old small apartment and now he lives in his huge, high class penthouse. It's snowing outside and Kaia wrapped himself in a blanket and looked out through the window, watching the snow fall on the city. All alone in the dark he sits on the floor with a hot chocolate mug sipping from time to time.

He heard the door open and turned to see the man he once loved. There he was standing tall, dressed in a clean grey suit, with his blond hair neatly slick back and his blue eyes staring at Kaia. The man just looked at him without a hint of love. And Kaia knew that.

"You're back..", Kaia said.

"Hm.." the man answered.

Kaia already knew the answer to his next question but he still asked, "Are you hungry? I made dinner, it's..."

Before he could finish, the man cut him off and just replied, "Ate." And left for his room.

"It's stir fried chicken.." Kaia finished slowly to himself.

It still hurts to see his lover not eat the food he made. But this was nothing out of the ordinary. This was normal. A boyfriend who wouldn't touch the food he made. It was funny. But then realisation struck him as only Kaia loved him and the other one didn't so he couldn't call him a lover or a boyfriend. In fact Julian has been making it very clear that he could never love him for 7 years. After all he already has someone else in his heart and there was no room for Kaia there.

Tonight Kaia again didn't eat dinner. As usual he waited for Julian to eat together with him but in the end it only remained as his wishful thinking. How did their relationship come to this? Well it didn't happen with just a flick of a wand rather it was a slow process spread out throughout these seven years.

You see when Kaia picked up Julian from the dumpster he really had nothing other than the clothes he wore. But that wasn't him before Kaia met him. Julian was from one of the wealthiest family in the country.
