3 Chapter 2: Wasteland

I thought that I will see my parents around me waiting for me to go with them but I only got to see darkness. "really? even if I'm already dead no one still wants to see me, heh I guess I'm not really that important" I mumbled while tears roll down in my face.

"Hello host can you hear me??" a voice suddenly interrupts with my thoughts. As I quickly notice that someone is here rather than myself, I quietly wipe my tears and face towards the voice. "who are you? are you the one sending me up?" I ask "Host what are you saying we are still in the land and I can't go up you know" the voice quickly replied "then who are you? what do you want from me? and why can't I see you?" I ask him with so many questions that the voice suddenly makes a crying noise "host you need to chill, you already ask me several questions" the voice replied while making a crying sound.

I immediately get irritated "then just fuckin tell me what's going on!!" I yelled at him for the last time and glare at my surroundings, well I'm not really a grumpy person but who would be calm in a situation like this where you are supposed to be dead but instead are talking to a voice that you cannot see. I sigh and calm myself down before asking the question again but in a calm voice. "oh I'm sorry host, I get too excited when meeting a human being. As you can see host you are not in heaven nor hell well your in-between and its called wasteland and here we choose if you are going to heaven or hell but since your soul is different than others you'll get a chance of being reincarnated!!" the voice excitedly replied while playing a background song.

"reincarnated?" I questioned while still not understanding a thing, then suddenly a thought came into my mind "wait you mean being reborn??" I surprisingly ask while thinking its a stupid idea but the voice excitedly replied "Yes host! but in order for you to be reborn in your world, you will need to accomplish my given task to you and once you completed all of them I will give you the opportunity to be reincarnated!" even if I can hear the voice saying something but my focus is in the word the voice said to me which is "reborn". it's not like I don't want to return but I'm tired of the constant nagging of the debt collector who keeps going into my house and keeps persisting me about paying.

I feel like being in a wasteland where no one is around you is better than seeing my younger brother carry on with his life while here I am constantly looking for a job just to pay their goddamn debt. I sigh and focus on the voice that keeps talking, he doesn't even realize that I'm not listening to him anymore. "so host are you in?" the voice excitedly asks me while I'm still a bit dazed about whats happening in my life right now.

"huh? what?" I stupidly ask hm "Host!, you're not listening to me!" the voice angrily replied while showing the data to me. "hahahahaha fine since you wasted your time to a person like me, fine I agree to your request" I laughingly said while thinking that being with a talkative voice that keeps pestering me is not quite that bad.
