The Pull

Violet began following Luna into the forest. When they got to the base of the small mountain Luna started to walk up a steep valley that had formed between the ridges. There were calls of various birds in the trees. The crunching of sticks was heard beneath their feet.

Violet watched a determined Luna guide her on an unknown path she could not see.

"Luna, where are you taking us?" Violet questioned,

"I can't explain it but I feel that pull in my chest guiding me," Luna responded, continuing to venture further.

Not once looking back to Violet.

As Luna's pull felt stronger, she noticed a trail of smoke coming from a small hut in a clearing. They heard a commotion while approaching the hut. Stepping out behind the trees the girls spotted a man trying to fix the roof...

He happened to drop one of his various tools and began to groan.

"Excuse me?" Luna asked. Luna's voice startled the man as he quickly stood up but began to fall off the roof. Violet's eyes widened as she grew a huge plant to sprout on the ground and catch the man before he hit the ground.

Setting him down he held on to his chest, breathing heavily.

"Are you ok?" Violet asked running up to the man.

"Yes, thank you. I'm sorry for causing trouble, your voice startled me." He said

"No, I'm sorry, were the ones that startled you. I should have waited for you to get off the roof before approaching." Luna said. Guilt began to bubble in her chest that she almost harmed the man.

"Dad, I'm back" A voice called from behind the treeline

Once again the feeling in Luna's chest was back but it began to burn. Violet's chest began to burn too.

After he fully stepped into the clearing, a light emerged from their chests.

It started to swirl around the trio and become connected to each other's light.
