The Guardian

Standing back to back, the beast leaped in front of Fenrir releasing an ear-piercing cry. The creature raised to its full height and looked down at the warriors.

It had a huge lion-like skull as a face with large pointed horns adorning its crown. A deep-colored fur covered its neck and chest. The beast had massive claw-like paws. On its back, it seemed the spine of the beast ran down its back and down to the tip of the tail where an assortment of broken bones. Rasing its sharp claws it began to attack.

"Scatter! It can't attack everyone at once!" Fenrir cried out dodging the beast's attack.

Everyone sprinted in different directions as it started to attack Fenrir more. Luna looked back at the monster and ran behind it but before she could jump it whipped around to her snapping its jaws. Taking her bow, she aimed her arrow and shot at the enraged guardian. Crying out, it spun around in circles letting its tail loose. Dirt and debris blew up.

"Quickly hide behind anything, its tail is deadly!" Fenrir called out

But Violet was too late. The tail hit her torso and throwing her back, and knocking her unconscious. The beast stopped and looked straight at Violets still form. The group tried to distract the guardian from getting to her but it seemed too late.

Before the beast could wrap its jaws around her, the sword she bought from the market began to light up and pulse around her. The guardian stopped tilted its head at Violet. the pulsing soon grew and a large figure stood over her and bent its neck to look it in the eye of the beast.

Its large figure was slender and had jagged claws and horns. It was ReiWei, the fabled beast of the Juro tribe. The guardian gave a large cry at the new intruder. It made no movements at the cry.

The ReiWei simply took a deep breath and gave a horrifying roar back. It reverbed around the group and the guardian crouched down and ran away with its tail between its legs. The beast looked down at Violet and curled around her before disappearing back into the dagger.
